Merrill Gardens

I would tell others about how friendly everyone is at Truewood and how much they care about the patients. They've demonstrated this by informing me about everything, interacting with all of the residents, and in the way they take care of the patients in a very caring way. In regards to activities, I'm not saying it's bad, but they maybe they could modify them for those who have dementia. Right now it isn't as engaging as it could be for memory care residents. Communication between the community and myself is good. They contact me if there's a problem, but I'm there often so we do have that in-person communication as well. Overall I would recommend Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle to others.

I toured Truewood by Merrill, Charlotte Center; the nurse we met was from New England, she was very nice and knowledgeable and we really liked her. Our tour experience was wonderful, Truewood was our second choice. We chose another community because as soon as we walked in we felt like family, they exceeded our expectations.

A Place for Mom was very professional, and my mom loves it at Truewood by Merrill Fig Garden! Mom Loves the people, and the people Love her.

Truewood By Merrill Charlotte Center is a very nice facility was beautifully decorated for the holidays and had great staff. They provide memory care, assisted living as well as independent living in the same facility and they mix those residents for social events. Because of that, there was a lack of activities. Even though they are also on separate wings, it smelled like an assisted living facility. My loved one wanted a place that was fully independent that would not feel like a care facility.

I liked the Marketing Director and the community. There are larger spaces for activities for the residents to use for a game room, but the building is a bit older. The community was a bit further from family and this was the downfall.

The staff is very personable. The community does a good job at keeping the residents active. The staff are great at keeping the family involved and updated about our loved one. The responsiveness to our questions is fabulous, and if they don't know an answer they find it and get back to us quickly. My loved one enjoys the meals, and the residents have choices to choose from.

The staff are very knowledgeable, professional and helpful whenever we need them. [name removed] the community director is just phenomenal, she is so supportive and really understands what she is doing and helps families get up to speed with any changes and adjustments. She has helped us and our mom navigate that and we really appreciate her. I would also like to give [name removed] the activities director a shout out, he is so good with the residents her and really tries to lift the mood and get creative with the activities he puts on for them which is really important. I cannot enough good things about the staff at Truewood.

We had a virtual tour of Truewood by Merrill Boise. The gal who led the tour was very nice and through. I thought it looked like a nice place. We just preferred to stay in a different target location.

The tortilla soup was good tonight. I love the Mexican entrée.

Chicken Marsala was excellent - enjoyed the meal I tried a sample of the beef and it was very good.

The dinner was messy, but good! (in a good way)

It's got a resort-like feel. My mom looks over the activities and menu like she's on a cruise, although the food isn't like a cruise.

I toured Merrill Gardens at Campbell. It was a nice place and they provided a great tour. It was close to home, so that appealed to me. There were a lot of things I liked about it. However, they had a long waiting list, and I'd have to pay [price removed] just to get on the waiting list. We chose another community because we needed a place for mom before they would've had an opening.

This was a wonderful community with great staff. It was more expensive than I wanted to spend.

I was really impressed with Arbour Square at West Chester. It was a smaller community, brand new, and spotlessly clean. It felt more homey than other places we toured. The staff and everyone was great. My parents spent a few nights there to try it out. They loved it, but at the time, one of my parents in particular just wasn't ready to make the transition to senior living.

I'm very happy with everything going on here. One thing I am a bit disappointed in, is the pool is only 3 & 1/2 feet all the way around. It would also be nice if they added a dog park, but other than that I'm very happy here. My apartment is fantastic; it comes with a full kitchen and a washer & dryer in the unit. They offer activities, which include excursions to restaurants and other places about once or twice a month, and game night with different board games about twice a week. Throughout the day they'll have a lot of people who go off into either partners or groups of 4 to play different card games. Rummikub is a big game here, which I'd never heard of until I moved here. Overall I would recommend Merrill Gardens to others.

I believe this is a great place. This has both assisted living and memory care, and this allows your loved one to stay in the same community surroundings. There are people here that are still very independent as well. There is a big mix of care types of residents in the community. The communication with staff is good. The meals are served in the dining room three times a day, and there are menus for the residents to order off of. Your family can eat a meal with you for a fee. The meals would be delivered to the residents rooms if the resident is sick. They had great COVID protocols and they didn't have any COVID residents in the community. They also have offered boosters to the residents. They have their own in house pharmacy. There are so many activates available for the residents. There are movie nights, meet and greet for residents, and more to choose from. They have a piano bar. There is a beauty salon on site for the residents to use for a separate fee, and standing appointments are greatly appreciated. This includes hair cuts, hair color, nails, pedicures, and facials.

I like Merrill Gardens. The independent side is a very friendly community. It's like being in your own apartment - you can come and ago as you please. It's a very friendly atmosphere, and very convenient for senior citizens, especially if you can get around on your own. It's very inviting. The staff is great. They have great activates. I thought it was a good value.

Just like many other places right now they are experience some staffing issues, but the staff that is there is outstanding. They truly are doing their best to give great quality service to the residents and family. Those who work in the dining hall especially go the extra mile which offsets some of the related staffing issues. The new director [name removed] has been so helpful, our loved one really likes her. Overall we are very pleased with the friendliness of the staff. They have great activities, our loved one is very impressed with the things they have during the holidays and all the movies they show. We think the value for the money is really good and we wish we could live in an environment like this

I love this place. It's the best decision I've made, and I am very happy here. It has been a positive experience from the first day I arrived. The staff are the best. They give great attention to the residents and provide great services. I've made friends. I love my apartment. I recommend Merrill Gardens all the time.
