Merrill Gardens

They have a friendly staff and they're professional. Maintenance was okay, it came quickly and they fixed the job. It's a great place to live for the price.

This place is like walking into a casino in Las Vegas or onto a cruise ship. It's so clean - probably the cleanest I've seen in my life. They have tons of activities - sports viewings, live plays and operas, a movie every night in the theatre room (one from back in their era). Because they're near an airport, there's a plane room with books about planes, and every 30 minutes a plane goes off. If you don't want to eat in the dining room, there's a neat 50/50 restaurant, or you can eat in the bar. All the help is very friendly, to the point that you wonder if it's too good to be true. But they genuinely are that friendly. The cost is very reasonable and one of the lowest I found, and with all they have to offer, that's unbelievable. Of course, pricing is on a scale, and as care needs go up, so does the price. The head nurses in each unit are very easy to get a hold of. You can text or call and they answer right back. Communication has been awesome among the nursing staff.

Merrill Gardens at Columbia gets all 5 stars, they were the best. All of the staff were what really stuck out to us. The manager, cooks, cleaning staff, receptionist, everyone was absolutely wonderful and they offered our family a lot of support.

We chose Merrill Gardens at Green Valley Ranch because for the price she was able to get a much larger room and she has a kitchen, washer dryer, it is great! It is like a tiny apartment and they keep it well maintained. They have pull cords in the bathroom and bedroom. You check in every single morning and if you forget to check in they come to check on you and make sure you are ok. She accidentally pulled the cord in the bathroom one day and they were there within 5 minutes. I have been very impressed with their response time. I would absolutely recommend Merrill Gardens to other families.

The staff is always friendly, and smiling. They are able to answer any questions.,that I may have. The food is okay. It is by far the best place, that my loved one has been to, and they love it there. I am very pleased with staff, especially the nurses at the nursing station. They are always very friendly and helpful. The servers, are also very kind and nice.

They make it easy to find somewhere for your family members when it's time for this sort of change in life. They communicate well. They keep an eye on my family member. We've had a good experience.

I am super excited to write this review on such an exceptional senior living facility as Merrill Gardens located in West Covina. I have been blessed help advocate for a 91 year old Marine veteran who was my mentor 40 years ago. When he decided to move from Alabama to Southern California, I helped take him around to visit and consider several senior living facilities. When we contacted and met with[name removed] who is the General Manager, we were first impressed with her professionalism and even more impressed with the genuine care, concern and compassion she displayed while providing us with a presentation and a comprehensive tour of Merrill Gardens. It was such a great first impression that it didn’t take my mentor long to decide to make this place his home. Now that he has been a resident for three weeks, words cannot convey just what a wonderful facility Merrill Gardens really is. It is a super clean, well maintained and smooth-running facility.

Caring staff, short staffed and remaining staff would pitch in where they could, friendly and helpful staff.

What really stood out to us and ultimately was the deciding factor was the community outreach person, they made a great first impression. It is expensive but it is worth it and based on the experience we would recommend the community to other families.

We enjoy the company the friendships we have made and just overall the community itself. This community is for moms, paps, and everybody.

I would say the staff have been very caring and they take their time with my loved one and also me when I have any questions or concerns that may arise.

They have been doing a fantastic job so far. It would be nice if they cleaned the carpet. It is very clean, and the floor is always vacumned. The care services is okay but could be improved. The interaction with the staff fantastic, and they are always willing to try. The food is good. The activities for the garden area, is different than the other area. Compared to other places,, it's pretty good value for the money, and is very reasonable.

We made the right choice with choosing Arbour Square and we have not regretted it at all. Nothing is perfect, but my mother is very comfortable here and they are taking great care of her. The staff work really hard and have all been wonderful, they are so warm and friendly. The surroundings are very comfortable and you do not feel like you are in an institution, it is a very pleasant environment and atmosphere. I have no complaints - it was a blessing that we found this place. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

They get all 5 stars except for the food. I'd put that at a 3 - but the friendliness of the dining staff takes the edge off. All the folks I've met here love it. I have nothing but praise for Merrill Gardens at Columbia.

I like it here at Merrill Gardens very much. My apartment is spacious, light, and comfortable. My cat loves it too - she likes looking out at the trees. The staff is very friendly. The facility is clean and easy to get around. There are activities, and you can do as much or as little as you would like to. They bring in all kinds of outside services if if you would like to use them. For instance, they have physical therapy on-site. They also have an LPN that comes on-site, and you can have lab work done on site. They offer a lot, which makes it a pleasant place to be.

Truewood by Merrill has given our loved one a chance to get know new people - she really enjoys the entertainment so they have great opportunities for residents to socialize with one another.

So far so good! My brother is enjoying the place and actually really enjoys the meals that are served, he has gained some weight. The staff have been very accommodating, especially with the food. I would definitely recommend Merrill Gardens at Madison to others.
