Merrill Gardens

We made the right choice with choosing Arbour Square and we have not regretted it at all. Nothing is perfect, but my mother is very comfortable here and they are taking great care of her. The staff work really hard and have all been wonderful, they are so warm and friendly. The surroundings are very comfortable and you do not feel like you are in an institution, it is a very pleasant environment and atmosphere. I have no complaints - it was a blessing that we found this place. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

They get all 5 stars except for the food. I'd put that at a 3 - but the friendliness of the dining staff takes the edge off. All the folks I've met here love it. I have nothing but praise for Merrill Gardens at Columbia.

I like it here at Merrill Gardens very much. My apartment is spacious, light, and comfortable. My cat loves it too - she likes looking out at the trees. The staff is very friendly. The facility is clean and easy to get around. There are activities, and you can do as much or as little as you would like to. They bring in all kinds of outside services if if you would like to use them. For instance, they have physical therapy on-site. They also have an LPN that comes on-site, and you can have lab work done on site. They offer a lot, which makes it a pleasant place to be.

Truewood by Merrill has given our loved one a chance to get know new people - she really enjoys the entertainment so they have great opportunities for residents to socialize with one another.

So far so good! My brother is enjoying the place and actually really enjoys the meals that are served, he has gained some weight. The staff have been very accommodating, especially with the food. I would definitely recommend Merrill Gardens at Madison to others.

Our loved one absolutely loves the meals and dining service, but there could be more activities for those who are more active. Even just taking them out on a walk to get some cardio and circulation going - have a little more stimulation. We do think the overall value is really good and based on our experience so far with Merrill Gardens we would recommend them to other families.

Truewood By Merrill Riverchase has been great - the staff have been better than we ever expected and my dad is doing really well to the point where he may not even need this type of care anymore. He absolutely loves the food, he lives for dinner time and the staff say that he goes back for seconds and thirds because he likes it so much and he looks great. [name removed]has been amazing and she genuinely cares about my dad. He has really thrived here and feels like he belongs. We are so thankful for them and are overly pleased with our experience.

I toured Truewood by Merrill, New Bern and it was very nice. They had a lot of activities, the staff seemed very well, and the campus was very clean and well-kept. We chose another community as the choice came down to dollars and cents.

This facility is genuinely the best value for the money. Sure, it could be updated to match the contemporary trappings of some of the other nearby facilities, but then, would the renewed cost for living here still be affordable?

It is a beautiful and cheerful facility. They don't have insane virus procedures, but they do protect the residents. The furnishings and common areas are very nice. With the staff, the financial person could do a better job at getting back to you in a timely manner, but she is very helpful. I feel that my mother is in a safe environment with plenty of activities.

Merrill Gardens was clean. The staff was extremely friendly. The residents I met were VERY happy. I met a group of them congregated around the mailbox chatting with each other while they waited for the mailman to come. There were snacks for the residents in the lobby. They had an on-call nurse 24 hours a day. They offered great activities. Assisted living was all on one floor, which was great. I have nothing but great things to say about them - they were absolutely amazing!

There are so many selections on the menu here . The soup changes daily as well as the two daily specials. Some of my favorite anytime selections include shrimp and grits, the club sandwich and the anytime breakfast omelette .

Incredibly accommodating. They look out for my loved one and care about them. They also do the little things that help me as well like taking any deliveries of groceries or meals from DoorDash up to their apartment for my loved one.

Our experience with a Place for Mom and Merrill Gardens at Barkley place has been top-notch. Mom loves living there. The management is very good. My mom says Barkley place is the best place she has ever stayed that is a assisted living Independent Living place.

It was a very easy coordination process getting my family member there. [name removed], the marketing coordinator, was great. Everything came together very quickly and they greeted her with a lot of friendliness. She felt very welcomed into the community. They quickly got her set up with medical care. And they've done a great job letting us know if there are any issues and letting us know what's going on.

The staff have been wonderful.
