Merrill Gardens

Merrill Gardens is a community. It's easy to make friends, get out on field trips, great food, endless activities to enjoy, a movie theatre, beautiful gardens to walk in, a park across the street to enjoy, library and a staff that cares about each individual that lives there. There are mid age people there to 90 plus!

Excellent atmosphere at Merrill Gardens. 5+ stars for the food!. My father was advanced in his needs, however, and had difficulty with new care givers and attending activities.

They do a great job of keeping the facility clean. My mom says it's like living in a nice hotel. Nice, great responsive staff. They try very hard to make everyone happy. They are very proactive with the care. They learn and remember what each person wants. They customize food for individual needs. They offer a great variety of activities. Occasionally I have to schedule a time to visit my mom because she is too busy some days to see me. We shopped around a lot and Merrill Gardens at Huntington Beach was the best value.

Truewood by Merrill, Roseville was exceptional in every aspect. My loved one was not the easiest person to adapt, but they stepped in and made sure my loved one felt welcomed. I highly recommend Truewood.

I toured this facility and I was impressed with it. [name removed] was also very welcoming, no hype, just a down to Earth practical guy who believes in the quality of care.....and food there.

The Merrill Gardens at Wright's Park was wonderful; however, they were not open yet and they were more than we wanted to spend per month for the care for our loved one.

Merrill Gardens was lovely. Seemed to be a larger community than another community in the area. The staff person doing the tour was good about answering questions. I didn't see too much of the activities when I was there briefly--the residents that I saw were on their way to the dining room for breakfast.

We are very happy at Merrill Gardens at West Chester. Both the staff and the facilities are excellent.

They have been very helpful, open and friendly. They work really hard. We are very happy with the value for the money. We picked this community, because I went through A Place for Mom, and I was impressed with the tour. I would recommend to other families.

My mom is doing great. She loves it there. The transition was smooth.

We like the friendliness of the staff and residents. We like how accessible, bright and clean the facility is as well as the diverse activities.

At Truewood, everyone knows everyone's name. It's really just a warm, almost family-like environment. The staff have been super welcoming and very supportive. The care has been great. It takes a little bit of adjustment in the beginning, but now that my person is settled in, it has been great. They're very attentive to her, and they reach out to me when they have questions. It's a great value as well --unbeatable compared to the other places I looked into in the area.

I absolutely love Merrill Gardens at Glen Mills. The transition was wonderful. Everybody was great in providing as much information as possible upfront. Move-in was easy. Right from the beginning, everybody was reaching out and being inclusive. They went out of their way to find people my dad's age interested in similar activities for him to be engaged with other residents. The food is wonderful, and he's actually gained a little bit of weight. They have an assortment of activities throughout the day that are not only social but also good for your physical and mental health. He has options to try things he hasn't experienced before. And if you're interested in things they don't offer, they go out of their way to try to find others interested in the same thing and get that set up. The grounds are beautiful. The entryway is very welcoming and friendly. There's always a group of people there saying hello to you. The front desk people know everybody. They are friendly and helpful. And the room is great. They had lots of options for different room layouts. I couldn't ask for a more safe, secure place for him to be at this stage in his life without feeling like somebody is looking over his shoulder and limiting his experience. If it were available for me at my age, I would be there in a heartbeat!

Our loved one had a short stay at Pine Rock Manor, but it really was a beautiful place. The staff members were fantastic and very supportive - it was a very difficult transition for our loved one.

Our family had an in person and we really liked this community and would of been fine with our loved one here, it was a very good experience but the location was just not as convenient for our family.

Truewood is a Smaller facility, so can feel like a home. Any questions I have get prompt attention by the staff. Staff has a good attitude. Mom gets treated well. Staff shows concern when something is not right with her.

Truewood Riverchase was the best value and my loved one fell in love with it, but they required she get the COVID Vaccine and that was not an option.

So far they have exceeded our expectations as far as the care for my mom goes. She always has clean clothes on and looks freshly bathed with her hair combed. The biggest thing we've noticed is she seems to so content and happy, whereas she wasn't at home. The staff are very friendly and answer all of our questions well. Mom is very happy with the meals. And the activities are really good. They've been able to keep her very engaged, which helps with her advanced Alzheimer's.

I was very pleased with Solivita Marketplace. Their communication was good, and the staff was personable. The staff and even some of the residents were friendly and helpful. The environment had a "homey" feeling. As soon as I walked in, I felt comfortable there. The place was kept clean, and the apartment was comfortable.

I thought I was going to hate looking for senior living facilities for mom...and I did dread this process very much... that is until I met [name removed] and visited Turners Rock. Game changer. First of all the property is beautiful...like a w hotel for seniors. Artistic, well designed. No nursing home decor. Rooms are beautiful, and amenities are all on point but the people...the people elevate it even further. You can feel the energy. Not only Christine but we had the opportunity to say hello to the GM, and the activities director [name removed]...(who immediately stated his mission is not just activities...but to build a community). It touched me greatly and felt so heartfelt. We had soup in the restaurant and [name removed] our server could not have been sweeter or more professional. I watched mom's eyes light up and the wheels start turning that this could actually be a nice new chapter instead of something to dread. My heart exploded at the relief. Mom is on the waitlist to move in and I'm thrilled. Amazing.
