Merrill Gardens

I feel they deliver on the amenities listed above, so a 5 star on all numbered above except for the value. Their point system for care I feel is way out of line. They seem to covertly force types of care my aunt doesn't need. We are [name removed] over what we planned on spending monthly. I've had her re-evaluated once to take off certain services she doesn't need, like escort to meals, waking her up, getting out of bed. My Aunt now does not use any of the other services they offer except meals and medication dispensing.

Best place in Springfield. Great management and services. We picked this community, because it was well managed, they offer 12 levels of care, quality of food, and because of the community. I would recommend to other families.

Merrill was great but expensive. Also we ended up wanting something closer to where another family member was for our loved one. Merrill Gardens is more upscale as well.

My mom is very happy with the Truewood by Merrill, New Bern community. The actual buildings are a little dated but otherwise it is a fantastic community. The community is really what makes Truewood. There are lots and lots of different activities going on. They also have transportation that drives within a 10 mile radius so that suits her needs perfectly. The companion care package they have where they will bring three meals a day to her if she doesn't like going to the cafeteria has been really nice. She lives in an apartment which is separate from the facility but she still has someone checking on her daily. She's quite busy these days!

My loved one is a resident at Merrill Gardens at Gilroy. [name removed], the sales person, is superb to work with. The housekeeping is okay. Communication with the family is okay, not great. The meals are okay, not a lot of variety. I would for sure recommend this facility to others.

I really have found Truewood to be an excellent place to live for me. The staff are all very friendly and are always willing to take that extra step to help anyone out. The residents are friendly and we all enjoy talking with each at meals and other activities. There is a lot to keep us busy. Four or five different types of card games, pool, a library, pianos, in house musical talent, Bean Bag Baseball, TED talks just started up, Bingo, a Reading club, matinees on Sunday, worship services, a sewing group, arts and crafts, bus trips and outside entertainment comes in on Tuesdays. We are always looking for more ways to have fun. I know I have left some things off because they are to numerous to mention. I must mention how great the food is especially around holidays. I thought I would use my kitchen more than I do, however the dining room is the choice to socialize, with tasty food and great company. This is the second independent living community I have lived in and this is top notch.

We are very happy with Truewood by Merrill, Fig Garden. We really like the facility itself as well as the friendliness of the staff members. Based on the experience we have had so far we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

They are amazing! Such a beautiful place! It's a wonderful place to live. It was the nicest, had the best amenities, it didn't feel like a nursing home and great price and food is amazing.

I am very happy to be here at Truewood by Merrill, First Hill and I am greatly enjoying it. I would whole heartedly recommend it has a good buy to all. Plus the location is great. Thank you A Place For Mom for getting me here.

This was a great placement for my Aunt. We picked this community because, I liked the ambiance. I could get her a room with an outside door so I didn't ever have to worry about lockdowns and not being able to check on her. Their pricing was fair. The apartment was roomy and light, and in good repair. They let her keep her dog. The outside was also very appealing with lots of greenery. They have a caregiving business Saving Grace available for assisted living services so she can age in place. I loved everything about it.

I wish that I could give them a 10/5 on everything! The staff were absolutely incredible, and seemed to genuinely care about my aunt. They were kind, patient and firm with her. The food was healthy, she had a nice big studio apartment, and the grounds are beautiful. We did not worry about her one bit once she started living at The Ackerly.

I toured Merrill Gardens at West Covina and it was by far the nicest place I've ever seen! I would have done anything to be able to afford this place for my loved one! Unfortunately, they offer a very low starting price and then increase the cost 10% per year! My loved one wouldn't have had the funds to be able to stay here for as long as she may need.

The Merrill Gardens community is fill with employee's who are loving and caring not only for the residents, but for the entire families of the residents! As soon as you walk through the entrance to the facility, a sense of professionalism and competency fills the entire building no matter if you are there to evaluate the facility or place your loved one! I would trust and higly reccomend Merrill Gardens as a place your loved one will come to appreciate and feel at home!

Truewood by Merrill Riverchase is an excellent facility in any way. My loved one is a resident at this facility. The staff, cleanliness, friendliness, meals and dining are all great. I would highly recommend this facility to friends and family.

I'm a current resident at Truewood by Merrill, Pinole and most everything is great. Except for the food, the food is just not good. The staff is fine, they're very friendly. The cleanliness is great. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

Murano Senior Living was actually my top choice. I was very impressed with the director [name removed]. She explained the "Swedish" model that they use. The lighting was very soft in there. no bright overhead lights. She explained this caused less manic episodes for seniors. The facility almost had a ski lodge feel to it, very homey and comfortable. I highly recommend others check this facility out and talk with [name removed].

The experience with the community has been very good. They seem to have a lot of activities and a very friendly Activities Director. My mom doesn't want to participate in much. The staff gets to know the families and are helpful and patient. We moved my mom to a different room from her original assignment and the staff was pretty good about working with us. The rooms have nice views with patios or balconies in all rooms.

We moved two sisters in together 6 months ago. The staff has been very accommodating helping them adjust to their new living conditions. The ladies like the meals and activities. The staff has also been very good at watching over them and suggesting changes in the care plans.

We have had a great experience at Holden Southcenter Assisted Living and Memory Care. The staff have been wonderful to work with. My loved ones enjoy living in the community, and the staff are quick to respond to any questions the family has. Overall, this is a community I would recommend to others for their loved ones. The food is delicious and there are many food options. The Management Team truly cares about the residents, you can feel and see the kindness they have for all the residents. It really is special to witness this!

We are very happy with everything at Truewood. My mother in law is very comfortable there. Her only complaint is the food is always cold. But the friendliness of the staff and residents really stands out to me. It's a very homey atmosphere.
