Merrill Gardens

My Mom’s experience at Truewood by Merrill, Keller, has been very enjoyable. Everyone there is very professional and knowledgeable - the people at the front desk, the move-in coordinator, the business office director, the caregivers, the medtechs, the health director and nurse, PT and OT, the chefs and all the people in the kitchen, and housekeeping. Hopefully, I didn’t leave anyone out at this wonderful place. My Mom has received very good care here. Also, they organize many functions for all the Holidays plus weekly functions including music, games, shopping, and exercise classes. It’s an overall great place.

From interview to move in, the whole team worked magic! They were friendly, inviting, effective and most of put my wards fears to rest even when I couldn’t! Top notch! My ward has been in their care for well over two months now and I am still very very please with Merrill by Truewood!

We have been extremely happy with just about everything. The staff has always been wonderful. It's extremely clean and a beautiful place. We have recommended it to many people for their loved ones. The only negative thing has been the doctor that works with them. My MIL got a UTI and after 2 rounds of antibiotics, she didn't get any better. I had to suggest to them that the antibiotics they prescribed was not the type of drug to treat UTIs! They changed her meds to the one I suggested, and she finally got well. That doctor should have known better.

Merrill Gardens at Auburn is FANTASTIC!! The grading task was incredibly easy - so very happy Mom is in such a wonderful place. I would recommend Merrill Gardens at Auburn to others.

I think the best thing is she is around other people and enjoys the musical entertainment. She is quite the critic! We would definitely recommend the Merrill Gardens at Tacoma community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

Mom is doing well and enjoying Turner's Rock as much as she allows herself to. That is because, she is having a difficult time dealing with the death of her husband last November. That has put a damper on how much she engages in activities at TR. But that has nothing to do with the overall quality of TR. She just wishes her husband hadn't died and now feels useless because she had taken care of him for several years and now has nothing to do. She has made a few friends and is now going to grief counseling. We hope that with time she will become more involved in activities at TR. We are throwing a big 90th birthday bash for her this weekend and have invited all the residents to her party. The staff has been so wonderful in helping us prepare for the party, especially [name removed], the activities and entertainment director. For a place for Mom, Turner's Rock has to be one of the best places available.

The caring, cheerful, skilled and thoughtful staff at Merrill cannot be praised enough! They have helped my aunt and uncle through the pandemic, through physical changes and illnesses and through cognitive changes. The support and extra effort in making my family feel safe, well-cared for and loved is outstanding. Activities are designed with the happiness and enjoyment of the residents in mind. There are several activities for individuals and groups, a concierge service, shopping service, appointment driving and much more. The quality of health and personal care is equally outstanding with the caregivers being genuinely concerned with the well-being of my aunt and uncle. There have been several challenges over the years and the care staff have consistently met all of them with kindness, support and excellence in care quality.

What we like the most about Truewood by Merrill, Keller is just how friendly everyone at the community is. It is a great community for loved ones and we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The staff is friendly and seems to like their job and the community. My mom is well cared for, and is safe and happy. There are limited activities in the memory care unit, but there are understandable limitations. The food is fine but not great, and that is the one consistent complaint. However, overall we are very happy

I really liked Truewood. It was unfortunate my mother-in-law was determined not to like it. They even matched her up with a few newly moved-in women to help her adjust. When it comes to the friendliness of the staff, sometimes the receptionist was short with my husband filling out the sign in paperwork. The account individual was usually behind in sorting out the billing and credit.

Pine Rock Manor opened up my father's world and became a true home for him. Pine Rock Manor had a homey feel, not institutional. My father made a lot of friends and the staff were all fantastic! I would recommend Pine Rock Manor to others.

Truewood by Merrill Modesto is a beautiful place. It is a great place and my loved one is so happy to be there. The people are friendly. It is free to have small dogs, what a great gift for anyone much less an older person. The place smells fresh and it is always clean, spotless. The rooms are spacious and clean, it's just perfect. The move in process was no problem. I rate Truewood by Merrill Modesto top shelf.

We have absolutely had a fabulous experience all the way around with Truewood by Merrill. We love the great caring attitude, kindness and friendliness of all staff members encountered at Truewood in New Bern. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

What our family likes the most about Merrill Gardens is the people. They get it and aren't just "working there" but understand the whole thing.

I wanted to place my father here due to the proximity of his healthcare providers. The entire staff has been amazing at shepherding my father through a difficult transition and multiple health crises. I am confident he is receiving a high quality of care from people who love what they do.

When I visited my brother, I had to sign in every time even though they recognized me. I felt security was good and my brother was safe. The staff and even some of the residents were helpful and friendly. The environment did not feel as a "nursing" home but more like a "home" environment which was an important part of why I chose Merrill Gardens. A Place for Mom was very helpful in locating Merrill Gardens for my brother and I applaud you and thank you for that!

I would recommend them to others just beware that they do like to send you out to the ER as per the staff is not licensed. They have a licensed person there about 2 to 3 times a week, otherwise the staff are regular caregivers. I wouldn't mind mom being sent out to the ER as long as there was something physically showing that there was something wrong such as bleeding or such. Two times she has been sent out and the ER has discharged her almost right away because of being there for no reason. They are being over cautious. All in all, I'm happy with the facility and mom is very happy there. Of course, she would rather be at home with us. But if I have to have her in a place, True wood is a good place.

My husband and I had a tour and an informational meeting before we brought mom in. The Admission Director was professional and knew what we were feeling because we hadn’t made a decision yet. We were uncertain about how to approach the subject with my mom. Mom has been a resident for over a few months now. She is thriving and has so many new friends. Loves the food and all the choices. Has joined so many activities, including the Chorus. Last week we went to their show. So much fun! Mom is managing her own schedule and her life. At 87 she has a new chapter and is so happy.

Everything has been great and wouldn't even consider somewhere else. We like the size of the place and the look of the place. Staff is responsive to questions. Special luncheons for families are wonderful. People are in good mood. Caregivers try to accommodate needed care. Staff doesn't walk around stressed out. Mom doesn't participate in activities but the ones offered are good and the activities director shows she cares about her job.

While prior to choosing True wood , I researched a few other places including Truewood . My husband said why are you looking at all these places , I said because I want the best place possible for my mom … I visited a few places twice. / three times .. including truewood . I will tell you that I Truewood is so special , I still can not believe how every single person in that building is kind , helpful and truly amazing . From the start Fran and Lisa have been nothing but spectacular .. Above and beyond is an understatement.. my mom is comfortable there , always talks about how everyone being so nice there !! …I honestly am so happy that I choose Truewood ,. I honestly could not have gotten through the transition without[Names Removed] . I would recommend Truewood. To everyone… I am blessed that my mom is there with such. Caring staff…
