It's a nice community and mom likes it there. We picked this community because it was a new facility . Meals included in rent . No huge sign on cost

The staff truly care about residents and their safety and happiness. The care and planning that goes into community events is top notch. Merrill Gardens is a great edition to our community and resource for families.

Memory Care, activities that encourage more movement (vs. just sitting and watching TV) could use some improvement. This is probably difficult under the circumstances.

The Merrill Garden staff have truly gone above and beyond in their care and support of my mom over the last 2 years. Their dedication to not just meeting her physical needs but also engaging her mentally and emotionally is wonderful. They take the time to listen, talk, and keep her engaged in meaningful activities which I believe has given her a higher quality of life.

My dad moved into Truewood almost 1 yr ago. He was scheduled for another facility but seen truewood as we were driving by and when he walked in he knew it was home! The people living there were so kind and the staff was amazing. My dad knew it was meant to be! They continue to make him feel part of the family!

We have had about a 2 week experience...Dad is utilizing the a la carte services to help him dress, bathe, and eat. Most of the people working here have a long history of working at the facility.people are friendly and management listens to your concerns. The facility has had a recent renovation and is bright and modern looking. There are many trees and beautiful scenery. Take a tour..you will feel like you have come home!..[name removed] family .

We have been looking for an assisted living facility for my parents for quite some time. We looked at many places but knew we were at home when we walked into Merrill Gardens and were greeted by wonderful staff. We had to move my dad in earlier than my mom, and they provided the extra services he needed. The place is beautiful, and we love how they decorate for the holidays. We are excited that my parents have started to get to know other people, especially other couples, and that there are so many activities they can get involved in throughout the week. We strongly suggest you visit Merrill Gardens if you are searching for a friendly, bright environment whose staff truly cares for its residents.

My family was blessed to find a beautiful home for our Mom. Truewood by Merrill, West Covina, California has provided more than just a home. They have provided a community that includes delicious meals, multiple daily activities, outings to go shopping, dining out, and group movie outing options. I was concerned since my Mom needs more personal care and Truewood covered that with their optional caregiving services. I cannot say enough about [name removed] , the manager, [name removed] , Activities Directory, and [name removed] , with Saving [name removed] , together they have given us peace of mind to know our Mom is in a caring and activity filled environment that she can call home.

It is conveniently located near a hospital, shopping center and my home. So if my father is ever in need of anything it is right there.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my 83 year old mom who has now been living at Truewood for almost one year! Mom is extremely happy with the staff and the level of care that she gets from the “Saving Grace” caregivers. I’ve also expressed my gratitude to [name removed], the manager on how beautiful the place has looked with the new renovations and with the continued care that she’s put into the place. Also hats off to the chef’s at the facility on their impeccable and delicious food that they prepare for the residents every day. I am extremely blessed to have found this facility that cares so much about their residents like it’s their own family. I feel very comfortable going there every day when visiting my mom knowing that she is in good hands!

I'm most impressed with the staff. Everyone I've had contact with, from the General Manager, Community Relations Director, Maintenance Supervisor, Dining Room and Housekeeping staff - every single one was very friendly, helpful and cheerful. The facility is amazing. The modern design is functional, comfortable and attractive. The cleanliness is superb. Dining is a treat - servers are excellent and the food is delicious. Overall it's a 10 out of 10.

When I needed to find senior living for my mother, it was crunch time. I was fortunate enough to quickly find Merrill Gardens in West Chester. They made the transition from private home to senior living easy. Having no prior experience with these facilities, I depended on their expertise to guide me in making the best decision for my mother. She has adjusted beautifully because of the staff and the residents. From the first tour to our move in day, they were there to help. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, you couldn’t help but feel at home. I would recommend Merrill Gardens wholeheartedly.

Merrill Gardens made it very easy to move in and integrate into the Memory care Community. It lowered my stress levels dramatically. My wife is happy, healthy, and safe. Best recession I ever made.

Sunshine Villa has been a God send for our Mom and whole family!!.. They have been so kind and attentive with all our Moms needs even when it is difficult.. They have a multitude of activities and really good food!!... A HUGE thank you to all employees there!!!!!

Any one who knows my Dad, would think he was an actor in grumpy old men. He has told me that most of the people who help him are really nice. That alone is high praise for The Pines. I can't thank them enough.

Among other facilities I’ve looked at merrill gardens definitely has been one of my top choices! Residents seem very content with their stay and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this facility to others.

Mom has been residing here at Merrill Gardens for a couple of months now. I want to take a moment to thank the staff for making Mom and her loved ones feel so welcomed here. I feel so blessed that we have found such a wonderful place for Mom to be able to call home. She has been so impressed with the facilities, staff, meals, activities and the list goes on and on. The food here is great, we often find ourselves joining her for dinner at the facility restaurant. I honestly cannot think of any negative feedback, everything is 100% awesome. I can highly recommend Merrill Garden with no reservations, and I consider this a must-see place to bring your loved one. We are truly so thankful we have found you.

Had a wonderful and stress free experience getting my great grandmother into a new home. Both her and I were more than satisfied with the help of the facility members and look forward to this new chapter in her life.

They went through a recent upgrade. It is wonderful! My mother has been here for almost 10 months and is thriving. She enjoys the Holiday Buffets and making new friends! The staff is helpful and always ready to help if we have a concern or need.
