Merrill Gardens

A 3 year old facility with light bright decor . Very attractive dining room Though they don't normally do respite care I was in a studio apartment recovering from hip surgery. I left after 6 weeks and came back to my home. I will let others know that you must bring your own furniture.

It has been a rewarding and happy year, since the move to Merrill Gardens for my Mom! We have seen the turnaround in health and well-being! She is active, happy, and loves her community and staff! Yes, we would recommend Merrill Gardens to other families, we are truly HAPPY with our decision! Professional and caring staff at Rancho Cucamonga site! A great place to live!

The common area was very open, airy and beautiful, and the unit was fully refurbished, clean and light. They were independent living so no lock downs, but had extra care available with bathing and cleaning, which she needs.

Staff is very professional and extremely responsive to needs/requests. Meals and meal times are flexible as dining room is open from 7:00am to 7:00pm. You may also take meals to your apartment. A large variety of activities from yoga to daily movies in our comfortable movie Theatre! Location is outstanding with some apartments offering views of Commencement Bay, Mt. Rainier, Cascade and Olympic Mountains as well as beautiful Wright Park!

It was a bigger facility with many programs. Lots of different things to do. Very clean with helpful, friendly staff.

When we went on initial visit the people/staff were friendly. We spoke with residents who were very complimentary about facility. It was very clean and was not depressing like some places we had visited

I chalked it up to my naivety, but it's important for people to realize the costs continue to increase. I thought there might be some rent increases eventually, but many other costs continue to be added. In hindsight it makes sense, but it was never pointed out to me and it would have been nice to have more awareness.

We picked this community because of the appearance. Friendly and knowledgeable staff size of the rooms. private baths. Good food. Park across the street. Location

Living here for almost 3 years, I find it supportive, accepting, and stimulating as needed. There are activities to chose from but also privacy when needed. The rood service is good. As a vegetarian I always have a good option. The staff is available and supportive. The weekly housekeeping is a boon. Come and see for yourself.

Cannot find a negative thing to say. We picked this community because of the appearance and price.

Currently waiting for a shared room to cut costs. We chose this place because the price was good. I'm impressed with management and it is a very friendly staff.

It's been a year since grandmother passed. We were happy with her care at Truewood and would recommend to others.

The staff at Merrill Gardens goes above and beyond no matter what their positions are. Having open meal times being able to eat when they're ready huge benefit care levels are fair.

I have been so happy and impressed with everything about Merrill. The people working there (from administrative staff to maintenance, dining room workers, etc) are all so caring, knowledgeable and friendly. They made my mom feel welcomed immediately. This was a difficult move for mom, but they have helped so much with the transition. They make each resident feel valued and important. The facility is safe, clean, bright and pleasant. I get text messages from mom continually telling me what’s she is eating for dinner and how good the food is. I no longer worry about mom trying to live alone. The move to Merrill has been so good not only for mom but also for the rest of the family knowing mom is being so well cared for. I highly recommend Merrill.

The facility feels comfortable and welcoming with bright and airy common areas. The staff is friendly and helpful. I find apartments well laid out with studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units. Units have washer/dryer, ADA bathroom and shower. The 1 & 2 bedroom have kitchens.

I'd highly recommend them. It was new and the price was competitive, which is why we picked them.

It's a wonderful place and the staff caretakers are amazing. There is just one bad apple that doesn't do her job on the reception desk. She does not call you every morning to check up on you.

All 5's! This is seriously such a good place for our aunt. She is so happy! Truewood has been an amazing place. They are very caring and helpful. They have created a very friendly atmosphere. When she first moved in, the transition was easy and comfortable for her. They went out of their way to make her feel welcome as she acclimated to her new environment. Anytime my loved one needs anything they assist. The price is wonderful and very affordable. We are very happy with all that is included. I know that my aunt is well taken care of and all her needs are met.

We obviously loved these people! From the time we first visited them, thru the passing, they were fantastic!!!! They are VERY compassionate and understanding that every person is an individual. They work hard to make people comfortable.

I can't thank the entire staff at The Pines enough. Everyone has been so supportive and wonderful. Finding the right place to care for an elderly loved one is so important for the entire family. The care my mother has received is nothing short of exceptional, but for us, what sets The Pines apart is the amazing staff - from [names removed] to the entire team. I know my mother is in good hands and is surrounded by professionals. The team is friendly, attentive and my mother is happy which says a lot about the quality of care received. Thank you for guiding us along in this journey and for those of you in the decision making process on selecting a facility to meet your loved ones needs; I can only say every situation is different, but for us, we are really happy with selecting The Pines, completely satisfied, expectations have been exceeded and we couldn't have made a better family decision. When touring facilities take the time to meet the staff, the caregivers make the difference.
