Merrill Gardens

[name removed] walked us through and showed us every aspect of MERRILL GARDENS, including the storage available to renters. Her knowledge and enthusiasm increased ours as well, and made us truly excited about the prospct of renting there. Though we are not ready, because of her excitement about the whole operation, we are equally excited and delighted knowing about this option. She also spoke highly about the family that owns all of the apartments throughout the country. The are fortunate to have her as a spokesman for their company!

It was a relief to find Truewood at First Hill. Who knew? It’s a little hidden gem right in the most chic, touristy part of downtown! A Place for Mom really helped and in 1 day lined up 4-5 senior homes with appointments for tours for us the following day! We landed here as the 4th of 5 places lined up to visit. Once we arrived at Truewood by Merril, First Hill—met the staff, residents and execs, we were hooked, cancelled the next place we were supposed to see and signed the contract that night. They were extremely accommodating while i was helping my parent move in, all hours of the day and night :), allowed me to stay while settling them in, and treated us with respect, kindness and genuine care all along the way. Really, we are so grateful for this place!! And the food is amazing ;) my parent is a picky eater, and every day he says the food is fantastic and they swerve all of his favorite things. Thanks again everyone!!!

Murano has been able to find many kind and caring staff. The place is really infused with a sense of fun as well as caring. That sense of staff being empowered but supported is very rare but precious.

We have been so happy with our decision regarding Garden House Memory Care at Merril Gardens. Mom says the staff is so good to her. I am extremely pleased with the extra attention she gets during the day and knowing that she is safe makes my time away from her so much easier. I am free to visit anytime and have been there all different times of the day and evening and have had no concerns. The activity director keeps them busy with a variety of games, scheduled musical guests and special bus trips etc. The shared living/tv room area is a good place where family can visit their loved ones and also get to know the caregivers more personally. I always feel welcome and appreciate the care our mom receives.

It took a couple weeks for a transition with medications and plan of care. Once hubby settled in he likes the place very much staff is friendly the medical staff and text take good care of him food is good and lots of varied activities. Everyone is friendly. Beautiful atmosphere with nice amenities. I would highly recommend it.

Talk about the best customer service in the industry! We had been looking for a place for my father for years. We just couldn’t find a place where dad fit in until we met the staff at Turners Rock! From the first greeting, to the tour, to the first lunch, move in and now after 2 years my father has never been happier! The communication from the staff has been tremendous. The rooms are fantastic, the whole place from the exercise room, to the movie theatre, to the restaurant, to the gathering rooms, to the bar is unmatched by any place! But, that’s not all. Brad, the General Manager, has the biggest heart in world and it shows through out the whole place. Everyone at the place makes my dad feel like he never left home!

This week will be a month since we moved my Mom into Merrill Gardens at Glen Mills. From the initial contact (just collecting info), to our initial tour, to moving Mom in…everyone has been so helpful and nice. [name removed] was amazing, answering all my questions and following up with me thru out the process. I wanted to keep Mom with me but was unable to due to her dementia. [name removed] knew I struggled with this and several times contacted me to see if I was ok. The residents there are all so very nice, a few noticed my mom eating alone in the dining room her first night and they brought her to their table, thru now have dinner together every night! The facility itself is amazing (diner, dining room, theater, craft rooms, terrace, pub, game room, exercise room)..sooo much to do. There are activities all day long and entertainment all the time and daily movies in the theater. The nurses and aides are all so very nice and I appreciate them checking on Mom. My mom is happy and so am I!

Mission Ridge has been extremely accommodating to my parents. Residents and staff are friendly, happy to assist, warm and welcoming. I recommend Mission Ridge for anyone that wants parents in safe friendly home

Beautiful community, all the staff (administration, maintenance, nurses, housekeeping & kitchen) care about each resident. I would recommend this community for anyone looking for that extra care beyond independent living.

I recently visited a family member/friend at the Pines of Newmarket and was very impressed with the facility so I wanted to leave my remarks. The facility was very clean and every staff member I encountered was very friendly starting with the administrator when I walked into the building.

My great Aunt was transferred to the Pines and I am very pleased with the cleanliness of the facility. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Very refreshing to see her in a high quality facility compared to others l've visited.

We moved my Husband’s grandmother into the Pines 5 months ago. She was previously in a 55+ building. Management, nurses, maintenance all are amazing people. We love the activities throughout the day!

Truewood is a wonderful community that feels like home. The staff are all very friendly and the food is great. This facility seems secure and caring of their residents, and I would feel safe leaving my relative in their care.

If you’re looking for a home with the extra care for Mom, this is the place. The manager [name removed] & Staff are great with caring on the well being of their residents. This property is clean & a great kitchen set up.

I moved to Merrill Gardens at Barkley Place [date removed}- the best day of the rest of my life. Everyone, from residents to staff, makes you feel welcome and loved. I have made so many friends and acquaintances in such a short time. You can be as relaxed, or involved as you want - I chose to be involved - address/deliver birthday cards for residents, member of Safety Committee and Resident Association Board member, etc. Also enjoy fun times - shopping trips, Adult Coloring classes, Wii bowling (great exercise), all kinds of card games, on site food pantry for residents needing extra can of soup or fresh banana, Gardening Club, monthly Ladies Tea or Men's get together, several types of exercise classes, church services and transportation to various churches, on site Physical and Occupational Therapy Department and on and on. In my opinion, you can't go wrong moving here. As a Resident Ambassador, I look forward to meeting new residents - - hope to see you soon.

I love Merrill Gardens at Barkley Place. It just feels like home everyone is so nice and caring. All the staff is incredible and very sweet. The place is clean and inviting. The food is real good and tasty. There gatherings and events are so much fun. What a great place to live.

My parents, age 89, were reluctant to move to an assisted living facility and wanted to be in their own in an apartment. After visiting Merrill Gardens and seeing how clean and comfortable the facility is, they changed their minds. They've been there over a year and a half and love it! They socialize (which they never really did before), enjoy games and entertainment, participate in managing the library and worship services. They enjoy the meals and say the food is delicious. They used to dine out all the time but now they prefer to eat in the dining room and have a fresh cooked meal. During the hurricane season or bad weather, we, the family, are kept up-to-date via texts with any plans of whether to evacuate, or not. My sister lives close by and was able to be with them during the storms. My parents are happy, content, and engaged! We children (5 of us) are pleased and grateful to Merrill Gardens for making my parents living situation the best it can be!

Mission Ridge is a beautiful facility. Everyone is genuinely helpful and so kind. It was a difficult decision to move my 91year old mother from the home she loved. However, after a few short weeks of adjusting, her comments are, "everyone is so nice, I just love it here and the food is so good!" I would highly recommend Mission Ridge.

Love everything about Mission Ridge. The people and the food is amazing! The staff is very loving and respectful. The community is clean and well maintained. Wish we could give it more than 5 stars!!!!

My husband and I have been independent residents at Merrill Gardens/Wright Park for almost 2 years. As my husband's caregiver, I chose to move into MG for the availabilty of emergency assistance 24/7. It's about peace of mind for me, but it's also much more. The staff here are kind, patient, and compassionate. The chef, along with his dining staff, work hard to provide us with delicious meal options. The special occasion brunches (Mother's/Father's Day, Thanksgiving/Christmas, etc) are amazing. There are plenty of activities and events to enjoy. My disabled/Alzheimer's spouse especially appreciates the views across Commencement Bay, the Olympics, the Port of Tacoma. Mt Rainier, and the Stadium District including Wright Park (even on the lower floors). Precious pets are allowed. The building and decor are bright and welcoming. My car is protected from weather and harm in the parking garage. We are completely content here. What's not to love?
