Hemsley House was great, 5 stars. Sadly Mom passed away [date removed]. She had exceptional care while she was there. I highly recommend Hemsley House. Mom had someone sitting with her when she passed and I was called immediately at that time. They had put her under hospice care after consulting me. They were extremely good at keeping me informed of mom's condition! They came and moved her to a wheelchair to bring her to meals and arranged for her to sit with political like minded people! They go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable!

All the staff I've met have been very accommodating for my mom. She talks about them by name almost like they are friends. Ridgecrest always has something going on. My mom has been enjoying (and winning) bingo. Most importantly she has in house OT and PT and her strength and mobility have greatly increased. As far as the food goes, I haven't eaten there yet, but every week there are multiple options on the menu that I actually want. I think they eat better than I do.

The staff was attentive, especially prior to our loved one's admission. We received counseling from [name removed]and from [name removed] and [name removed]. The food was well prepared and served like fine dining. There were many activities for anyone who wanted to participate.

After my father received a diagnosis of dementia. My relatives and I knew it was time for my dad to transition into a facility. My cousin told me about "A Place for Mom." So, I reached out to them to help me find places. After looking over a few of the assisted living facilities. I reached out to Stacy Marley at Park West Plaza to setup an appointment to ask questions and to look at the different apartments available. She apparently knew my dad from another facility she had worked at, and that started the wonderful journey in finding my dad an apartment that he felt at home in, that provided delicious meals, beautiful surroundings, meeting new friends, transportation to medical appointments, a wonderful caring and compassionate staff. I am so pleased and have peace of mind knowing that my father and I found a great place where he is happy, content,receives medication management, the nursing staff is great in communicating with me about his needs and that he is in a safe environment.

Making the decision that my mother would have the best quality of life at 96 in assisted living was very difficult. She as most people valued and loved her independence. She loved her home that she lived in and she loved her cat and her yard. Knowing that I looked long and hard to find a place that would bring her comfort and joy, knowing this would be a difficult transition. After visiting numerous facilities, I chose Legend Of McKinney as it seemed wonderful in so many ways and best suited for her. She has settled in now to Legend Of McKinney with her cat.

I worked at this property many years ago when it was under different ownership and hadn’t visited the community since. I have always loved this property as it is a smaller community which always felt like a bed and breakfast. The residents appeared to be very happy and engaged and all the recent upgrades looked amazing! Kudos to Legend Senior Living and their experienced team at The Gables of Jacksonville. Highly recommend.

Overall experience was very good. There was an apartment available with a two-week turnaround, yet there were delays due to drywall work that was required within the apartment. The leasing agent at Renaissance kept timely communication with us and despite the unexpected renovations, out of that my mom got new flooring throughout, which she was very pleased about. Staff (and residents) are very welcoming. They have many activities to choose from, and various topics or outings. Before assuming residency my mother was invited, along with myself, to happy hour. Unfortunately, their entertainment did not show that day, most likely due to inclement weather. However, their activity staff was quick to accommodate the residents who were patiently waiting - wine, prosciutto, cheese and crackers were the menu items - and recovery efforts for entertainment was music requests for sing-along #karaoke. The residents are all welcoming, as stated previously. On move in day, many came to say hello. They have an ambassador program to help new residents get acclimated. My mother inadvertently pulled the emergency cord bell in the bathroom, as it got tangled in her hand towels. She was very impressed with the staff's responsiveness - they actually startled her. But they took that opportunity to point out how to cancel a false alarm. Room for improvement would include more wait staff in the restaurant. However, the quality of food is quite good. My mother, along with myself, spouse, and son have dined there. Considering the likelihood of being understaffed, they do a good job. There have been times where the wait for food has been a little bit inordinate, however with more staff they could easily overcome that. The facility is well kept, clean, updated, and is impressive at first glance. The executive director is very amenable and I am pleased with the decision we made to have Mom live at Renaissance. They are not overbearing with financials and a positive is no ex orbitant buy-in necessary.

Clean & caring facility.

The staff, ok including the medical team, is always readily available to help me since I live out of state from the Windsor. They listen to me and we solve issues together, both financial and personal in nature. I feel comfortable calling anytime and about anything. Easy move in experience. My mother loves her new apartment and [name removed] was right there to help us with cable and internet service. Mom loves the entire dining experience and has made most of her friends in the dining room. The FunDay Friday activities give her something to look forward to every week and she says that bingo is a hoot. She goes almost every day. When Mom is happy, I am happy.... especially when there is so much mileage between us. It is so comforting to know that she is safe and so well cared for at the Windsor.

We were amazed. Everything was far better than we expected. The staff were unbelievable. They did more than I would have expected them to do. The food seemed to be very good. My wife liked most of it. I thought the activities were good, a nice variety. I always joined in on them when I was there.

Great community. Friendly atmosphere. Many programs and services. I would recommend it to others

Every staff member was kind and warm. They were extremely understanding about my uncle's needs and the challenges he faced moving to a group living environment after being independent his entire life.

Jefferson Gardens is a wonderful community!! I definitely recommend to others.

The staff was absolutely great. Best we experienced in being at 4 different assisted living spaces. Food was good enough. Hospice services were amazing.

It's hard to justify $[removed]/month for 1 independent person.. overall... I would choose them again for my parents. My mother passed away in [date removed]. They were really great helping with all the details of hospice, doctor,etc. I gave the administrator a lower score because she doesn't answer her phone, rarely there, and doesn't return calls or e-mails. It took 3 months to get my dad's rent correct. The nursing staff and aides are excellent..

They were fantastic, my mom really had no complaints, she just couldn't adjust to being so far away from the rest of the family. Everyone was kind, welcoming and very helpful, we have nothing but nice things to say about the people and the facility!

Wasn't happy with 2 price increases this year though. Nursing staff especially [name removed]and [name removed]have been compassionate and patient with Mom's care. Also, OT ([name removed]) and PT ([name removed]) from Fox Rehabilitation are excellent and on site.

Staff went above and beyond to make accommodations for my family. Accepts pets (residents have to be able to care for the pet themselves). Requires meals be eaten communally (otherwise there is a fee to bring meals to apt). A bit noisy near the Street Road side of the facility.

The Legend of Allentown provided a warm and inviting family environment. The facility was excellently maintained and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We worked with the Sales Director who was amazing- she helped our brother find a wonderful apartment and did everything possible to help us prepare for his arrival. She met with our brother in his rehab facility and spent much time helping him understand the facility and the maintenance staff member was great in helping his apartment be ready for his arrival. As we worked very closely with the Sales Director and ensured all was ready for his arrival, his admission was canceled due to multiple medical emergencies and he eventually passed away before ever going to Legend of Allentown. Our sadness over losing our brother was supported by the staff at Legend who was so kind and caring over our sadness and loss. In summary, we would recommend Legends of Allentown as an excellent facility and a loving destination.
