My loved ones are okay and still going through the adjustment period. They are able to join in activities and they are making friends too. The meals that are served seem to be suitable. The staff are able to make accommodations to the meals.

My Mom has lived here for a little over a year & yes they have undergone some changes.... Changes for the better! They have a new Chef who actually cares about the quality of the food he is providing for the Residents. A new Director of Nursing who is holding the staff accountable. It is & always has been a warm, cozy& home like environment. I feel my Mom is safe & cared for.

They can find more things for some of the residents to do. Mom is active and likes to do things and sometimes this place is not stimulating enough for her. I have seen the workers serving residents breakfast without wearing gloves and then licking their fingers if they got food on their hands. Not sanitary at all. Most of the workers are helpful to the residents and treat them like they are their own parents. I have had only one incident with them so far and they had lost a lab order for a blood test and then they lied to me and told me she had the blood test, when she didn't. My Dr. wasn't happy that she didn't have the blood test, but the next time I guess I'll have to handle it myself. The residents that live on the assisted side seem happy and content.

I think overall, everybody that works here is very, very friendly. The know all know you by name. I was very disappointed in the food and the dining room though. The food is improving, but people come in to this beautiful dining room, and there are just wheelchairs everywhere and it makes it hard to move around. I also expected a little more activities.

My personal experience is limited to the memory care unit? The care managers at Harbor Chase were very good - they clearly got to know the residents and how to respond to different residents' quirks and eccentricities. I sometimes felt the facility could be cleaner and that the management needed to tighten up a bit. It is extremely expensive and, for what we paid, the floors should not be sticky, nor should there be bodily smells. (I understand accidents happen, especially in the memory care part.) Communication was not always good, and for what we paid, I thought the company could afford some updating and repainting. Also, we used the services of a nurse who makes regular visits there and who is loosely affiliated with a local doctor, thinking that it would save us trips to the doctor's office, but communication was not good with her either. I don't know why Harbor Chase doesn't allow other doctors' offices on site, but I would think twice about recommending it as long as they are using the same nurse and doctor's office. For a resident who is still able to get to his or her own doctor without too much trouble, that might not be an issue. All in all we are grateful for the care our parent received there?

We've recently had a few issues. On one instance his clothes got lost. On another there was no hot water for his shower. With those exceptions, it has been good and dad is happy there. There is great social interaction there, and dad is very happy with the activities. They are very sincere in making sure everyone is and feels included, and the staff is always very knowledgeable of what he's been doing and are great at keeping me informed. Overall we're happy.

Emeritus was a very clean, well kept up facility. The staff was efficient and friendly. The staff changed over during the 4 months my mom was there and that was a little disturbing. The head nurse and other staff changed. My mom chose not to participate in a lot of activities but it seemed there was many available. The Physical Rehab people there were great. The food was ok mom said. Mom felt safe there.

Mom seems very pleased with the friendliness of all the staff. The facility appears to be quite clean and pleasantly decorated and the staff overall seem eager to please. I have run into some difficulties with my Mom's medications due mostly to her misunderstanding of instructions and unwillingness to part with control. That being said, I would appreciate a little more communication regarding this matter. The nurses have provided me with information when I have asked for it but have not called when mom challenges them. My brother who is a pharmacist is available to consult and to talk with mom when notified about problems.

Very nice facility, the one thing that concerned me was that for my husband's mental capacity, they didn't really have anything. The memory care was in an enclosed are on the upper level. Otherwise if you were in there as a normal assisted living place, it was outstanding. The overall facility and the programs that they had were great.

We chose The Winsor after my mother came down sick and she could no longer live alone., because of the amazing people that worked there. No family lives close in FL but at the time she wanted to stay. At first it was good but in less then 10 months, there were 3 directors and the majority who cared so much gone. Those who remained so over worked. We decided to move my mom closer to me, what I found when we came down sad. So few workers and people not getting the needed care. Once here the doctor found my mom had mild pneumonia and a UTI. Given the condition of her room I was not surprised. 1 shower a week often at 3 or 4 am! Nights and weekends are the worst. Just glad we got her out and praying for those who remain.

The facility was built and designed well. Many of my questions were answered, but very focused getting the sales. Just seeing minimum enter action between staff and residents it didn’t feel like a home settling. I did get the feeling that they respect the privacy of their residence.

Quality care, incontinence information in contract, payment confirmation not consistent and medical support not good, however, care and concerns lunch time is very good.

My husband began exhibiting aggressive behavior shortly after moving in, and it quickly became clear that the community was not equipped to handle him. He moved in on [date removed], and by Christmas I was being asked to provide a one-on-one caregiver 24/7 at $[removed] an hour while they worked to get his medications adjusted. That arrangement continued until yesterday, when I had to stop the one-on-one care because it was simply too expensive. We are now moving him tomorrow to [community removed], where they say they have experience and success working with aggressive behaviors. Overall, this has not been a good experience. It has been extremely frustrating. Some of the staff are wonderful and genuinely caring, while others are far less responsive. Another concerning issue is that my husband was placed in pull-ups, something that had never been necessary before this stay. This turned into a horribly expensive lesson. I also want to point out that potential families should be very aware of community fees—I am now out that money as well, and my husband didn’t even make it a full month. Most importantly, communities need to be very clear about their limitations. I’ve learned that the sales staff can be compassionate and reassuring, but they have little to do with the actual care that is provided.

The food is not as good as expected. They did fun things over the holidays for the residents but things have been quiet since the new year. They do not always respond to call buttons when pushed. The rooms for family gatherings is a wonderful option.

The staff was nice but the reaction times when the button was pushed was bad more than good. One morning my mom waited 2 hours for a response. bTW. My passed away

The nursing care staff are very nice. The food is definitely below average, often stale and served cold, with limited selection/variety and often "out of" listed menu items. Facility is clean. Billing errors are common. Phone calls (to billing) not returned. Director is leaving so there is some inconsistency with where the facility is heading.

The staff at Park West last year when we had the urgent need to get family into assisted living was great. They really showed that they cared, understood the urgency and the situation of having one parent with memory issues and one parent in the hospital with an emergency. They helped us as much as they could along the journey. Throughout 2025 I have to say that the service has been a steady decline. Many of the original staff we worked with have moved on to other places. Billing is a never-ending challenge to get right often taking months until the account is corrected. Maintenance issues have been numerous and taken some time to get addressed. Cockroaches. Constant cable issues where it just turns off every half hour and needs rebooted. Electrical panel that was constantly buzzing on the wall in the bedroom making it impossible to sleep. Furnace needing repair. I totally understand that the facility was built in the 80s or 90s, but they could be more timely in getting to some of this.

Nice facility and well arranged. Pricey in comparison to other facilities I toured and there was a very distinctive urine Oder that was noticeable when I walked in and was stronger in the memory care unit.

I was very disappointed in the Arbor House. Receptionist excellent. New. director has good vision. however only a few of staff seem to understand how to care for patients. it is like vision is not communicated. No confidence in head nurse.

My mom has a lovely sunny room and she has developed a great relationship with the aides. The activities for the memory care floor have begun since [name removed] took over and now they have [name removed] doing activities who is wonderful. The dining experience is great. Call light response time is very slow at times but apparently their system does not always work. The whole facility is beautifully decorated and immaculate, very pleasant to visit.
