This facility is beautiful, furnished nicely and clean. However it is also pricey. The majority of the staff are caring and competent. We came to have true friendships with many. There is High turnover!! Always someone quitting and training new care aids. Food is ok. The residents there are safe and well cared for. I never saw signs of abuse or neglect which is the most important factor in choosing a facility for your loved one! The nurses on staff have worked there many years which is a big plus. There is always some activity going on if the resident wants to participate. Was not impressed with administration the years we had a loved one there. They are never on the floor interacting with residents. Always seem to be in a meeting or out for long lunches. Some of the very good staff should get a medal!

I did not like this community at all. The rooms all surrounded the nurse's stations. The room that my loved one would have been in was small and semi-private. The main thing I did not like about this place was for one they would need to evaluate my mother in law before they could give me a set price. Also, they gave me a long list off all of the stuff they charged extra for such as 25 cents for a band-aid.

The biggest complaint my mom has is the food, When we chose this facility the said they had a head Chef, well my mom says "they don't even have a cook" what comes out of the kitchen isn't anything like what it says is on the menu. Dining room staff is not friendly or seems to care.

Maple Glen is very pretty. Most of the people are nice. But they did not manage my husband's care very well & eventually kicked him out. He started out well, but then had some problem behaviors & was hospitalized. The Maple Glen folks tried to wean him off of meds the hospital prescribed & then his problem behaviors came back. They kept telling me that they were "professionals" and could handle our issues. But they did not handle things well. Eventually they hospitalized my husband again & didn't want him back after that second hospitalization. Later I found out that my husband had not been sleeping much at night for the whole three-plus months that he lived there. They never mentioned this to me or suggested we have medical folks address his sleep issues. All in all I was not happy with the way they "took care" of my husband.

My mother spent the laat 3 years of her life at Creekside. With very few exceptions, the staff at Creekside had a real heart for the residents and they deserve 5 stars. In fact, some went above and beyond. With that said, an organization is only as efficacious as its leadership. In my opinion, at Creekside the leadership resembles more the management of a self-storage facility where they take no responsibility for an old TV that you stored with them rather than a memory care facility where you entrust the care and safety of your loved one suffering from Dementia. During my mother’s time at Creekside, she fell, her wheelchair and motion alarm disappeared and her wedding ring vanished. In each instance, Creekside’s default response was, it happens; we’re not responsible. Two days before my mother’s passing, while discussing another incident, the care staff mentioned that she had stopped eating the previous week yet they apparently felt no need to inform me until several days had elapsed

The facility is very nice physically but not enough staffing for the number of people. My husband was there for a 10 day respite visit and they totally screwed up his meds. The med tech wasn't fluent in English and gave the wrong meds at the wrong time if at all. He had 3 meds starting with M and she thought they were all the same. And I caught her giving him his sleeping pill at 10 in the morning!! The never received a shower the entire time he was there. It was just not a good experience. He could barely ambulate and they put him in the last room at the end of a super long hallway so of course he couldn't get to the dining room or social areas easily and no one seemed to help him.

I was very disappointed in the care that my mother received at Canterbury Gardens. They appear to be short staffed due to the strong smell of urine. My mother has issues with colitis and I had told the staff what foods needed to be avoided, which they claimed they did. However, I was told by a bath aid they she was having chronic diarrhea and fresh blood in the toilet. I was only told this due to being there at the right time, otherwise I doubt anyone would have contacted me about it. The food served is institutional including a lot of processed meats, overall cheap and not nutritious.

There were a few aides that were really good. But overall, The Hampton is not that good. We found our loved one in unacceptable conditions. When we brought it to the staff's attention, they showed concern, but the issue wasn't taken care of appropriately.

Apartments are old and tired looking with old appliances that no longer work well. Air conditioner and heaters old and noisy. Pool out of commission and likely will not be repaired and reopened. The Bistro has been closed and also not likely to be reopened. Hall carpets dirty and worn. Apartment maintenance needs can take days before addressed. They constantly run out of dinner menu options and deserts. NOT the luxury living they advertise.

The community is clean and beautiful and There was a management change in mid-February and we hope things will get better. The food is not very good and it really needs to improve. They have run out of essential food items. The activities are not what they promised. They promised a laundry service and we had issues with clothing disappearing and not being laundered correctly so we are having to do it ourselves. I would not recommend this community to others.

This community is in need of some updating. They could use a fresh coat of paint on the exterior. They have a cafeteria style dining room which reminded me of a school cafeteria. The courtyard has been cut up into pieces. The rooms are very dated. The community felt dumpy.

I agree with the other reviews of this place.A lot is promised that is false. This is a response of a CNA that I talked to last week.I said, I need to leave a message for the nurse about my mother.her response was, " ya, you should talk to her because what you said I will forget completely about before I get to the door. When you do talk to someone in charge, they are passive and un -caring with little respect to the family members. The filth is so bad, that they really need some out side help from a Health inspector to give them guidelines so they Don't get shut down. Merca is rampant because of it. They will deny deny and tell you that we all have Merca in our bodies and its no big deal.Even after you bring a filthy situation to their attention, nobody does a thing to clean up what you have reported. I am afraid for the clients here.

This community promised things to us that they did not follow through with. I was not comfortable with the type of care my parents was receiving. We had many concerns regarding the cleanliness of the facility. There were many times my parents room was not clean. The staff was friendly, but I do not think they were very good at their job. We found other accommodations for my parents. I would not feel comfortable recommending this community.
