They took me for thousands of dollars for just 20 days. In my room, the TV and phone didn't work. The drapes on the window didn't work. There was a big bay window looking into the courtyard full of weeds, and they charged me for a courtyard view, which I wasn't aware of. If you told them to do something, you had to tell them 2-3 times. I had to have a blood draw, and they charged a considerable amount to bring someone in to do it. The problem is, they have an open shot to your bank account and can charge you at at any time for anything they want to, which is just not right. And they act like a bunch of [removed] when they're telling you something.

This is a horrible place. The upper management was rude and refused to listen to my parents daily care plan or implement it during there short stay. During covid isolation they had no TV or music. They refused to put my mom in the recliner and kept her in bed unless she was eating. They also would not change her out of her PJ's during the day. One caregiver was impatient that my mom was not swallowing her food fast enough and kept forcing her to eat which made her cry. I am so thankful my parents are out of this place. Oh, they said the food was terrible.

I do not tecommend this facility in Scottsdale. In my opinion there are too many residents and mot enough staff to give all residents the specialized care they deserve. Numbers might be in compliance bit that doesn't help those that have higher needs that are not met.

BED BUGS!!!!!!!! O MY GOD………… When one of the staff at this facility told me she was quitting because there was bed buds, we moved out our parent as fast as possible. She said it had been going on for six months and they have not been able to get rid of them because they would have to move everyone out and put a tent over the facility for a month. Further she said there was only one nurse for sixteen hours of the day for sixty plus very debilitated residents, and when there are two nurses it’s only to hand out pills. So, why is the nursing staff stretched so thin as to not be able to properly watch my parent. No wonder why so many of them have lots of un-witnessed injuries. Many cases of fractures at this facility!!!!! Also, I was told that when there is a caregiver shortage (which is all the time) they use the unlicensed shower aids to replace caregivers. Which means no one gets there minimum two showers a week. How many times a week do you shower? There was a lot more information given that I am reporting to the State, so think twice before you put your family here…………………

Never use this place for your loved one....this place is all smiles and hugs....untill you decide to not use them. Then they are the rudest people you could meet ....They have a horrible admin that will allow there emplyees to make unfounded claims without even knowing who the tennant even is.....when your staff looks like a homeless person what does that say about your place.......we regret even having our loved one stay a day at that place.

I have witnessed a few of the caregivers speaking rude and treating them roughly, one in particular is [removed]. This woman is rude and shouldn't be working in this type of establishment. The management is awful, would not recommend it. They are understaffed, there are no actual nurses at the facility even though they tell you there are. There are other assisted living facilities that are cheaper and probably have better care for your loved ones.

first of all this is my 2nd review. my father had a stroke there after being there 8 days. while they could not have prevented it ,they could have noticed which they did not. On the 9th day he was admitted to the hospital and they said he had the stroke 12 to 24hrs before we saw him. They did eventually refund our money back after I was threatened with the police for asking questions about the refund and why they ordered a whole round of meds for him when he had been gone a month. Now 5 months later I get a message on my phone wanting to know if I want to come pickup his meds they found. Just goes to show how incompetent they are. He is in a foster home now where he gets excellent care. Highly recommend foster care over big business.

This weekend we had to remove my mother in-law from Copper Creek Inn in Chandler, AZ. She had been there about 3 weeks. She didn't need help to the bathroom, getting dressed, or eating and can carry on a conversation. Basically she is pretty low maintenance. She is sweet and non combative. The only thing we asked was please keep here door locked. This is not standard policy at Copper Creek Inn. One evening we took her out to dinner , when we came back her room had been ransacked by a dementia patient. We never received an apology from staff or director. Another week later staff left her room unlocked again. A man with dementia entered her room, urinated on her bathroom floor and then set on her bed next to her and tried to get a hug. Needless to say, mother in law was traumatized. We moved here out the next morning. Again neither the staff or the director apologized or showed any sympathy to my mother in law. The fact is they became very defensive. We were completely disappointed with their service, care and compassion. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

From what I have experienced so far. They divide your family so that certain family members are not able to talk with their loved one's. They say they have your best interest at heart, but wait till you can no longer speak to your mother. I am 48 years old. I believe my mother is not receiving the care she needs. If you don't agree with their program they cut you off with contact from your loved one. There is nothing more scary in this world then Nurses who think they have your loved one's best interest but then you talk to your loved one and it is not like they say it is. I would definitely challenge the care at this facility.

I cannot believe how dirty this place is!!!!! The staff seem to care, but they are overworked and under pressure to care for TOO many patients! My friend of 45 years has been there for several years and its gotten worse in the last two years. The food is gross and makes her sick, but all they do is give her Imodium to stop her diarrhea, and never clean her dirty diapers. She is getting bed sores, but they do NOTHING about it. The senior staff ignore all requests for assistance in remedying these issues. I don"t understand why they are still in business. I have reported them to the state.

STAY AWAY! This place is not managed nor staffed well. They operate with the minimum level of staffing on a daily basis. They lose clothes constantly that they are responsible for laundering. The communication between the management and the residents' families is sorely lacking. The nurses work hard, but their medical management system is NOT computerized. In 2016 - a new facility should have medical records be computerized, not hand printed. This makes continuity with the nursing staff difficult. Further, they have been hiring staff that barely speak English. This is NOT ok. The caregivers are not well trained. I have personally witnessed a caregiver being "rough" with a resident. That is NOT ok.... The Executive Director is not very personable nor physically around very much. She stays in her office behind the front desk when she at the facility. She seems more about the "sales" aspect than the day to day operations....granted every for profit senior care facility has the bottom line of sales, but it appears very clear here. She has been there for many months but the same problems exist with a failure to communicate with staff and family members, failure to ensure that the residents are well cared for (NOT forgotten in their rooms for meals!), missed bathes (NOT overlooked for weeks), or telling family members that their loved one is participating in activities when in fact the resident is left alone in a dark room. We were told that there would be weekly field trips and live music several times a week. This did NOT occur. We were also shocked at the turnover in the activities staff. Unbelievable. The food resembled food served in the army. A scoop of this and that. Nothing was done to make it look appetizing nor appealing...... This place needs a lot of help and redirection before I would recommend it to someone. Don't let the homemade cookies, "newness" or the appearance fool you. Visit several times-morning, noon and night before you decide......look for stress amongst the staff. Talk to other family members who have their loved ones there. See if they are happy. Look for overworked and tired nurses. Deciding on memory care placement is a difficult emotional choice. Research. Negotiate. Don't get caught in the sales approach that "we are filling-up fast." Don't rush. Good luck!

We moved our loved one in at the beginning of 2015. We were excited when we toured the facility. It was clean and seemed to be very nice. Zoe showed us around and claimed to have all these amenities that would benefit us and our loved one. Not one of these amenities have been true. It was only after the first month did we realize what a mistake we had made in putting our parent here. It was a disaster! They are not and have never been adequately staffed nor do they even care about the well being of the residents that live there. The alarms are going off all the time with no response, not even from any of the staff who can NEVER be found. You have to be let in and that usually takes 5 - 10 minutes depending if someone is even behind the desk unlock the door for you. Even when they are there they ignore you and continue doing what they are doing until you have to interrupt them. They have no understanding of the words DIGNITY & COMPASSION like they claim on their website. I have found my parent numerous times on the floor where they have fallen by themselves in their room with the door locked and with wet or soiled clothing that has not been changed since the morning shift dressed them (I know this because the staff writes on the undergarments the time and date they put them on) and it is now late afternoon. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!! When I have discussed numerous time the issues I am having to the staff and management they just shake their heads and tell me that I am right and that they are not fully staffed but are really trying to find more people. The reason they are not fully staffed is because they treat their staff horribly! As far as the owner's [names removed] they could care less about you and your loved one and only care about your MONEY! I have tried numerous times to contact the owners (since they are so proud of it being family owned) and they have never once returned any of my messages! We pay an extreme amount of money for them not to have a full staff and to take care for our parent as if they were an animal. I have seen animals treated better than this! You have to beg the management and staff to bath your parent and even then it takes days to get them to do it and then only after you have asked several more times! When we first arrived the head nurse was Marshall who was amazing. They then opened another facility in Frisco and there went Marshall. His replacement is [name removed] who was rude and could care less about the needs of your loved one When you call to speak with her she has no idea who you are or who your parent is even after you have given her you and your loved one's name. It got to the point that we had to be there everyday and most days twice a day just to make sure that they are giving the medications that are to be taken daily not to mention making sure that they are not wet or soiled. I have found feces smeared around the bathroom and in the hallways that have obviously been there for longer than a day and not cleaned. The rooms smell of urine and feces and are NEVER vacuumed. My parent was there for less than 6 months and not one time was their room dusted or vacuumed. They are under staffed and uneducated when it comes to memory care. [removed] Please DO NOT put your loved one in the horrific place! You will regret it the rest of your life!
