Coordination to place my father at Windlands South went smoothly. My father did not acclimate well so we removed him from the residence after three weeks. The BIG HEADS UP for all is you are charged for three months in addition to the deposit. The business is not concerned about your family issues, once you have departed; they only want their money. Coordination to finalize the bill was not handled well; as no one seemed to have the authority to finalize the financial transaction.

I do like the facility but they did a wrong evaluation. We basically had to move in the month to another part of the building. I told them all that she would need but they sent someone to the house to evaluate her. And they decided she needed less care than what I had told them. She was not getting the care she needed. So we were told that she would need to be moved to another level of the building. I was a little disappointed in that ordeal. It does seem to be getting better.

Overall I think they've done well at Foxbridge Assisted Living, and are doing a good job taking care of my loved one. With one exception the staff have all been wonderful to work with. You couldn't ask for a nicer bunch of caregivers, and the gentleman who runs things at night is very nice. We have had a few issues with the "house manager", her lack of attention to detail doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Another thing I'd like to see them do a bit better would be to have a larger variety of activities. But overall we're pleased with this place, and would recommend it to others.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. We didn't really like the look of this one, it would not have been a good fit for our loved one. It was a larger community, and getting to activities or meals would require walking between different buildings, which we thought would be hard on someone with memory issues.

Overall they've done a good job taking care of my loved one. They've got a few issues they need work on, but over the time that she's been here I've seen that they are diligent (albeit a bit slow) when it comes to making improvements.

They are clean and friendly, but there have been some issues that have come up. There were requests to have some things done to the room and those have not been done. The maintenance is not so good. The meals are sub-quality for the price of the community. Peanut butter and jelly should not be a daily standard. The population of The Gardens is quickly becoming an assisted living and not an independent living community. They seem to be willing to take anyone who is able to pay. It is driving the more independent residents out as quick as they can go.

I had a great visit. Friendly staff, staff knows residents, nice residents, good food. I am not interested in Holiday properties unless I can't find anything else. There is too much variability between communities and they are more expensive and they have frequent (substantial) price increases.

I'm not entirely pleased with this place, but it's better than nothing. It is more conveniently located than some of the other communities we toured.

$2850 is too expensive without VA or Choices assistance. I'm not big on tall buildings.

Nice, however, maintenance may be lacking. Door broke to pod for two days that I visited with my brother and then with Dad. Good intro deal. Changed plans to work with us. Snacks, good atmosphere. Plenty of room.

The community was always friendly. However, they wouldn't give us enough information about our loved one's condition when we would call. I feel they didn't check on my loved one enough when they were there.

I'm a resident here. There is NO assistance during breakfast or lunch. According to the executive director, caregivers are not allowed to help residents during that time. This has been a major point of contention as I was led to believe I could get help 24/7. When I visited, before I moved in, I was offered a room for a certain price. I specifically asked for no carpet because I'm in a wheelchair. The day I moved, I was put in the smallest room they have, with carpet and a mirror that was too high for me to see into. I was told that this room was temporary and they would move me as soon as a larger room became available. It's been almost 5 months and I'm still in the small room. WORD to the WISE: Get everything in writing and don't sign to say you received any paperwork before you actually have it in your hands. I would highly suggest you get a camera too. Raintree Terrace tried to increase my rate by $1,000 without a notice. My room isn't cleaned weekly. Sheets aren't changed, and a few of the caregivers are very disrespectful, staying on their cell phones, refusing care, and cussing. I'm often treated like a misbehaving teenager. So why so many stars? 2nd and 3rd shift have been great, for the most part, after the caregivers who didn't want to help me get in the shower moved to 1st shift.

Suppose to have "2 top knotch chefs"...NOT! Suppose to be a Retirement Community! THE SALES PERSON LIES QUITE EFFECTIVELY!!! Turns out the food is quite awful and the cook...aka chef was fired amidst several heated resident complaint meetings. They are training another chef now. As far as being a retirement community...well if you can call privately hired home aids pushing 8o+ & 90 somethings to & from the dinning room in their wheelchairs a retirement living facility then ok. But if it looks like, and feels like a cheaper nursing facility then ok. You decide. A lot of people here suffer from dementia in various degree, even some go so far as getting lost outside or hitting or kicking others in fits of anger. People have been coming here and leaving . Many have left yhis month and others in the plans of moving as soon as possible. The carpets are filthy in lobby and dinning room and halls. Decor is really run down.
