It was close to my daughter. I didn't realize what memory care was all about. I would not recommend to others unless they were very demented.

Seems like at beginning people wanted to answer every request, now it seems I have to hunt people down for answers. Overall it's not bad, however there are times when I feel it could be cleaner. Sometimes when I walk into memory care it's fresh and other times it brings tears to my eyes. I understand people are being changed, but those diapers should be taken outside. They are friendly, but there aren't enough of them. As you can imagine, some are more friendly than others. The food and medicine on time every day, however their physical care isn't always up to par. Meals are okay. I believe they give them lots of food, more than they need. The quality of the food I really can't say because I haven't taste tested it. The activities for mom are coloring, painting and movies. My dad (who wants to stay with mom not demented) really has nothing to do. Just got a notice for a price increase. I don't believe they have enough people to work for the cost.

These kinds of institutions are in a no win situation. Nobody wants to be there. Staffing is usually minimal. Food is adequate but ultimately uninspiring. To go from a home to one room is depressing. Staff were mostly friendly but limited in how involved they could become. All are expensive compared to living at home. Not a situation that anyone wants to find themselves in but the American system for elder care needs to be replaced with something better

I would say that you can get decent care if you have a loved one checking on things often. There are not always enough aides at night, especially on the weekends. My mother constantly complained about not getting scheduled bathing/showers. They had a few staff changes within the past year such as the: Head Nurse, The Dietitian, and the Business Manager (2). Speaking of the business manager, we had a terrible time getting my mother's long term care insurance billed properly each month. I had to make a few phone calls each month to get the billing sent with all the proper information filled out and in proper time. It was almost always late. My mother finally got scheduled bathing when Hospice took over that part of her care. These are some of the issues we had with this facility. There were some very nice aides that work there and some seemed to really care about my mother. I would be hesitant to put someone in there if there was no one nearby that could check on things. (that's probably the case anywhere) However they are the better of the two facilities available in Milford. Another positive for Milford Place were the two nurses that worked directly with the patients to give out medications. They were very kind and helpful. The head nurses however (one moved on and another employee moved into that position) didn't really have anything directly to do with the residents or not my mother anyway, and she had issues there such as falling.

The staff who assist my dad and mom do all they can to to help my parents adjust. I like that I can come in anytime to see they. My dad doesn't think he needs to slept so I go in the evenings to help get him to bed. You can talk to the nurses which helps all of us. When there is a problem we exchange ideas to better help my mom and dad.

All the low marks stem from poor management in my opinion. A lot of people would probably give it lower marks . The manager is not popular at all.

The management is 24 and 36. They need to understand senior's needs. The food is all frozen & processed. We need healthy fresh food not breaded & fried

I have enjoyed meeting new friends and helping others in the community. The food could be a little more fresh foods ( fruits and vegetables).

Overall the place is very nice. The food is not good medical staff is great. Housekeeping could be better. It's a smaller community but been good for us.

I think that Foxbridge could be a good fit for those whose family members can visit on a weekly basis.

Overall we were happy the first couple months, Now they changed hands and the care isn't there.. They just do the basics if that and the communication is terrible..And they raised the cost 30 percent and nothing changed and the care went down hill. We wind up showering my in-laws and clean the room...We pay laundry service and clothes are inside out etc...

What it has going for it is that it's the most affordable independent living in Nashville. The apartments are fairly clean if they've been updated. The building is in need of repair and updates, particularly some of the hallway, carpets, the doorways, hallways, and paint, the elevators often don't work or just one works with 11 floors of people. There just seems to be too many people there especially since the medicine facility Clothes and all of those people moved into the building. Long wait times for the dining room and very long wait times for the elevators at meals, especially when they are only down to one elevator. The food is very subpar in my opinion.

The Palmerton is better than most homes but overpriced for the level of personal service/individual attention.

Kanawha Place currently meets the needs of my mother in law. They are not equipped for meeting the needs of dementia patients such as my mother. BUT KP are experiencing all under staffed, underpaid, and could do a better job interacting with their very vulnerable residents. I overheard an argument (resident yelling I hate you and the KP staff said well I hate you too.) Breaking my heart. This was between a trained KP staff member and resident who clearly was struggling and having a difficult moment. I could only imagine what was happening with my mother. Sickening! My 3 sisters and I are very hands on with our mother. If we were there, KP would not step in to assist our mother. It would fall 100% on us to toilet and care for our mother

The facility is in a constant state of being dirty because they are understaffed. The tenants are paying for housekeeping but not getting it, due to understaffing. There has been a cookie in the stairwell since my mom moved in [date removed] . I look for it as an indicator of how well they are paying attention to caring for the facility. They had a bedbug outbreak. There is no one to drive the van, so residents cannot go on excursions or to the grocery store. Nothing like what was presented when we were looking at selecting a place. But the positive is Progress Inc., the service that provides assistance with bathing, laundry, etc. They truly seem to care about the residents and do a good job. They tend to pick up the slack for the lack of service on the part of the facility.

When it comes to the cleanliness for the memory care we gave it a 2 for our dad, and a 3 for the assisted living side for our mom. Thankfully Hospice goes in to check up on Dad and gives him showers in memory care! Otherwise he wouldn't get a shower! Laundry is always piled up! Never gives him water! Teeth are never brushed, I could go on and on!! The Willows could train there help and have some oversight for their help! They have new cooks my mother complains all the time tough meat mushy veggies!

The staff was kind and caring. They did appear to be short-staffed at times. That's why I rated it as a 3. Some of the buildings were a bit worn, but they were remodeling one cottage at a time. The food was quite good. Activities were good. Business office was helpful with questions. The rate was fair.

This is just an OK facility.

I could write a book about the current director and his lack of accountability . My mom has been relocated to the memory care facility. There are issues there, too. My mom is 99 yrs old. Any change in setting would be difficult, but it's not an impossibility.

My loved one was previously a resident at Milford Place and the overall experience was okay for her. As for Value for Cost, it was expensive and didn't feel to be a great value for the services offered/provided.
