I can only speak to Ind living part of the facility. In the 1 yr my parents have lived at Harmony there has been lots of turnover in the staff. Multiple new people in the same positions. Not sure if the problem is management, pay or both. The common areas seem to be well maintained and because it is a newer facility, it is up to date. They have had multiple chefs over the year. My parents pay over $[removed] a month for Ind. Living 2 bed apt. For that amount of money they charge, the food should be high quality/gourmet. Many nights they run out of the one main entree choice. A choice of two different entrees would be nice. They have to make sure they arrive early, not late, so that they don't have to eat off the limited a la carte menu. They also started limiting that they can only have soup or salad, not both. The condiments and crackers were removed off the tables. They now have to ask for them and wait or get up and get their own. Tacky!

There is a lot of turnover on the administration offices. The administration was very difficult to schedule and actually show up for meetings. Although the sales team conveys an open door policy and plenty of opportunities for families to meet and discuss their loved one's care, it didn't happen until we pushed for it. Harmony is not equipped to handle clients with Alzheimer's. Our family ended up paying a whole lot more to ensure our dad was well-cared for. When we had outside help, some of the Harmony staff stopped doing their job or caring for our father. However there were a few outstanding staff members who treated our father and our family with love and respect. The staff initiated monthly meetings with families but it wasn't well-published. Harmony is a very pretty facility and I would feel comfortable for clients that need assistive living or independent living. Harmony is not equipped to provide more support for clients who's mental and physical health declines.

They have to responsive to questions about billing, medical, and food concerns. [name removed] is in a studio but that's the size he was looking for. Amenities are ok. He wanted a pool table and they have one.

Th faculty and staff all seem fine. Again she's in independent living. So she has minimal experience with most of them. The ones she has encountered have helped her when she needed it and all seem very nice.

There have been a few bumps in the road getting a good medication schedule established but Mom has now learned to speak up and walk down to the med cart if her meds are delayed. There have been 2 pipe breaks on the first floor down the hall from her apartment in 3 weeks. Lots of noisy dehumidifiers and fans to address the moisture, but all has been fixed. The noise was annoying for the residents.

Staff has always been good at communicating with my husband and I. [name removed]is in a safe place and not alone which is the best thing. If she was a social person there would be sooo much to do!!! They really are always doing something. ??

My mom's apartment is very nice and she loves it. The cleaning staff and concierge staff are great. This facility though has gone through 3 or 4 directors and several of the food staff in the 11 months' she's been there. They have errant fire alarms in the middle of the night. They have also had issues with keeping the maintenance manager. I'm not sure if these staffing issues are indicative of staffing everywhere or just there.

My loved one loves it there. The staff are super friendly. He loves his apartment and the amenities. He loves the food and being able to socialize with others. The residents appear to enjoy it also which is nice.

My sister was very difficult to please but admitted it was a nice place. Always looked immaculate. Most staff were busy and professional while a few were friendly. Staff was responsive and professional. My sister complained regularly about the food all tasting the same but again pleasing her during this time was nearly impossible. Other residents were also heard talking less than glowingly about the food, but they appeared to be eating it. I did not partake of the food myself but the dining area was very nice and clean. She did not get involved in most activities. My nephew paid for my sister's care and said it was affordable while she consistently talked about it costing too much and having a totally fine house going to waste. I think it was moderately costly. She insisted on going back to her house and my nephew finally stopped arguing and moved her back. She lived there with the help of her daughter and some hired aids until she had what appeared to be a small fall onto the carpeted floor, but she either could not or would not attempt to get up. She was not injured but became increasingly weaker and entered an inpatient rehab unit. She appeared to be recovering and the last time I saw her alert she was in a wheelchair chair complaining about wanting to return home. She then either suffered a stroke or some kind of physical deterioration and became unresponsive. The doctors entered her into hospice and she passed away a few days later in mid-July at her home with family nearby, which was what she wanted. I think the experience at White Oaks was a positive one for her and for the family as she made some acquaintances there and interacted fairly well for most of her stay. She was stubborn and insistent about wanting to return home where all of her memories and her small dog were and made it happen.

I moved in about a year ago. Love this community, love the management staff. They are always available to answer questions. Food could use some improvements, but its ok most times. Housekeeping was hit or miss at first, but now they have a full staff. I made the right decision to move in and I could not be happier.

I am an independent living resident. I love the big building because of the way it it laid out. My favorite thing to do is join my friends at happy hour. We are served at least twice a week and sometimes more depending on the activity calendar and events scheduled.

Management is great. Some of the staff have been a little abrasive and rude. However we haven't seen them for a bit so management may have addressed that issue. My parents are now in the assisted living facility as my mom needed more care than my dad nor independent living could provide.

Harmony worked very well for my mom and myself. Cleaning staff was extremely helpful and nice. They struggled in the dining area keeping chefs and waiters. They had one chef who was very good and was also friendly, but they him go. The cost went up each year so that should be factored in when budgeting.

The working staff were very good and caring people, and eager to please. I was very disappointed with the Sales staff and the Health Director. My wife spent two consecutive periods in Respite Care. Her son and I wanted to explore the options of her staying on being as she is no longer able to do household chores being thst she must use a walker to get around. She was and still is, a fall risk and really shouldn't be alone. I am employed by the and Federal government and work 5 days per week. I work from home three days and in our Harrisburg office two days. I repeatedly left phone messages asking for the Salesperson and the Health Director to contact me (or her son) to discuss Care options, but one week prior to her leaving Harmony I finally received a call from [name removed]. He said that he had been ill and had a backlog of messages to return, and would get back to me...but he never did. I did have a good working relationship with [name removed] who is the Assistant Health Director.

We had not heard of Harmony until A Place for Mom recommended. We were impressed with the layout of the facility and the rooms. My mom loves her apartment. Unfortunately the staff has changed at least 3 times and we are not as pleased with the service that my mom is receiving. The activities director does not TRY to get the residents involved and with my mom's memory state she needs constant invites The manager has never returned any communication when I reach out to her. It's always someone else that responds. We originally liked the facility well enough that we recommended Harmony to three others that moved in

It is kind of expensive, but the facility is top notch and the services provided are good.

The staff and everyone at Harmony at Harts Run were very helpful and understanding. Everything is going well.

I live near a former staff member who has recently told me of the problems there. So no I would not recommend. We picked because of the location and it is near my home.

The beautiful landscaping, the amenities and the price. I would recommend. I do think they could do a better job of giving us and the residents an avenue for questions and concerns.

It was a good experience. I picked them because of the cleanliness and cost.
