The nursing staff is very friendly and kind to the residents and courteous to friends and family. They also see that mom gets showered twice a week and they put lotion on her and dry her hair. However, I do believe that they could use more help! The most needy residents, including my mom, cannot get as much assistance as they need. She is on O2 for COPD and has vascular dementia. There are enough activities. My mom enjoys BINGO and I have been sitting with her to help her because she some- times gets off track. Most of the food is pretty good. The room size is sufficient. And the housekeeper does a good job. I clean the bathroom whenever I visit, at least every other day- just as I do mine at home, whether needed or not. There were things that the salesman did not mention that we would have to pay for. He quoted an all-inclusive monthly rent ... and when I questioned him about some specifics he kept repeating "ALL INCLUSIVE" and when I went to pay for first month, the day before mom was getting discharged from rehab, I was hit with a "community fee" (?) of several thousand dollars. (So, it is NOT all inclusive. I was also told by the salesman that there is a phone hookup in every room, but I have to bring a phone. After moving in I found out that I would have to arrange for the phone SERVICE myself and pay for it - so, again, NOT all inclusive. I was ALSO told that I would receive either a watch or pendant for mom to wear in case she had a fall or other emergency. Was not told that this was NOT included. Charge for watch or pendant is $100 - with a $25/month monitoring fee. When I talked with the salesman, and later the director, about whether all of my mom's needs could be met i was assured they could do WHATEVER she needed. This has not been the case. She needs much assistance to get to bathroom. By the time someone gets to her room to help her she has frequently flooded her clothing- even with a diaper. I do not feel she is monitored often enough. And I believe that is partly because of low staff:patient ratio. (If I had it to do over again I would choose a real nursing home, not just assisted living, where admin is eager to keep every room occupied.)

I have never seen a more compassionate, listening staff. Our needs were immediate and they worked a miraculous scenario to make it happen. My brother didn't last long, but until his death they were caring, loving and so very thoughtful. We felt like part of a community, a family, we trusted.

I would give all the categories a 5. We have been very happy with the choice. The people were really friendly and the place was very clean.

1- Staff is friendly, kind, very compassionate and welcoming. 2- The entire surroundings inside and outside is inviting and beautiful to anyone visiting. Landscaping is very nice. 3- Residents are friendly and fun to socialize with. 4- Transportation for the most part is satisfactory (except one driver). 5- Very clean building and well kept. 6- Dining room table settings and decorations are wonderful.

Everyone was very pleasant. Met some of the residents who seemed to be very happy there. Good tour of the facility.

Nice facility. One Br apt i viewed was very nice and roomy. I think it would be great for my parents. Not sure if they can afford it though.

The Harmony Collection at Roanoke is very nice. Everything is so bright and clean and everyone is cheerful and friendly. There have been minor problems but once the correct person to help was found it smoothed out. The food is good and varied. I enjoy eating in the dining room. The staff is friendly and efficient. I thank A Place for Mom for helping me find The Harmony Collection.

My husband really liked it there. Most of the staff was very helpful and caring with a few exceptions. You do get a lot of attention when you first move in. Harder to get a hold of admin after that. He really liked the PT people there and other residents were welcoming. Lots of things to do and the long carpeted hallways were good for walking. He was only there for 6 weeks before ending up in hospital and then a nursing home. He passed away in [Date Removed], but Harmony was one of his more enjoyable experiences.

Staff and Management very knowledgeable and professional. Had a nice tour and felt good energy, understanding andthe sense everyone enjoyed their jobs.

The staff at Harmony at Harts Run (independent living) is incredibly attentive, professional, and friendly. Within a few days of moving in, every staff member my mom encounters in the hallways, serves her meals, or sits at the concierge desk greets her by her first name. The culture they foster creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making her feel like she’s part of a family. Any issues she has raised (and they have been minor) were promptly addressed. Mom’s spacious and well-appointed 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom independent living apartment is a perfect for her. The kitchen is a beautiful blend of wood cabinets and granite countertops, providing ample storage space. The bedrooms and bathrooms are generously sized, offering plenty of room to move around. The walls and carpet are soft neutrals, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The common areas are elegant yet welcoming, meticulously maintained and spotless.

Clean, well-organized, professional, and that I'd recommend it

Harmony is lower cost, so they probably have fewer amenities. But they have good food, and a good nursing staff that takes very good care of my brother who is in memory care/hospice. He really likes it there, and loves the staff. He's well cared for and very happy. Probably if he was in assisted living, he might be a bit bored, but for memory care and hospice, it's perfect.

5 on all of them. We loved it. They were great to work with and took great care of dad. It was clean and staff took great care of him. Went he went there he wasn't able to walk much and they got him walking all the way down the hall to go to meals.

We found the facilities very suitable for our loved one. Have chosen to place our loved one in Harmony at Oak Brook.

The staff was excellent. They engaged with the residents and provided a safe environment. There were regular supervised activities including outdoors when possible. Excellent communication with families as well.

Everyone no matter what department is so nice and friendly and helpful. Bright and cheery rooms and private rooms with full bathrooms.

Staff is wonderful! Cleanliness that is kept in my mom's room and entire building. It doesn't smell bad. The food is good and the options are plentiful. My mom has been very happy there.

They have Great staff. Lots of activities. Beautiful facility. Nice sized studio apartment and bathroom. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place.

To a person the entire staff were consistently friendly and helpful. In particular [name removed] the sales director was incredible. She was competent, clear, responsive and supportive each step of the way from contracting, service needs evaluation, move in flexibility, to follow up on settling in, providing clear expectations and guiding the next step. In addition, the day nurse worked tirelessly with me, insurance and the pharmacy to ensure my moms complicated medication regimen was set up accurately.

Plenty of space. Lots of activities and families encouraged to participate.
