I really liked the facility, and the rooms were set up really nice and roomy. I liked that my Mom didn't have to share the room, too. The staff were welcoming, but they were constantly short staffed, and they complained about it to my Mother, which I thought was inappropriate. The admin staff was not good, and it was always hard to get in contact with them. They would send bogus bills that didn't make sense. Every month the bills would increase with no explanation. Also, the admin staff was changing constantly. The nurses were late with the pain medication regularly, so I needed to check on them almost every week. I t was a long 4 months.

The staff is very kind and thoughtful. Harmony is a warm environment for residents. The residents are social and outgoing and have welcomed my husband. Harmony has many engaging activities every day to keep residents busy. The nursing staff works very hard to meet the needs of the residents. Overall, my husband is happy in assisted living at Harmony.

My father seems to be happy there. The staff has been great at keeping me informed of any issues. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. His room is spacious, and I really like the fact that he has his own private shower.

The executive director is responsive and helpful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The director of nursing is unresponsive and unhelpful. They need a new food vendor. In August food was great. Now it tastes horrible, hot meals come out cold, residents are skipping meals.

Staff friendly and helpful. For the most part the food is very good plus on days I don't care for meal of day I can order from the additional list of things available. Cooking for 80 to 90 people and still have tasteful food says a lot. They are short of servers in dining room but they work extremely hard to take care of us, have our order correct and get it out as quickly as kitchen staff has it ready.

It's a nice facility with friendly staff and good activities. I would recommend it to others who are currently searching for a place for their loved one.

Good location- close to hospital, restaurants & stores. Great housekeeping. Pleasant staff overall however one medical delivery was misplaced; hence scores a 4 instead of a 5.

Harmony was a blessing for my Mom. They provided a welcoming and active community where she could have some independence while keeping her safe.

I think overall, it is a nice place to live. They have a lot of activities and exercise classes, and the residents seem pretty friendly. I've heard the service in the dining room is sometimes very slow and it takes a long time to eat. The food is ok, pretty bland. Medical care is adequate, especially at the lower levels. I don't have any complaints.

Food is fantastic. Staff are great & very helpful. Apartments are very nice. However, I wasn't happy last week when our family member called at 5:00 a.m. very confused. I called front desk, I called nurses station and I called administration hoping someone would answer the phone. They advertise 24 hours. Not that wasn't the case. We never had that experience before so I don't really know if this was a one time issue. Even if it was, it's not good. We were able to calm our family member over the phone. I would have given a 5 if it wasn't for that issue.

I was pleased with facilities and social connections. Others who had lived there a long time said it's going downhill in terms of service provided and quality of food.

Some of the staff is nice and helpful a few are Not. The dinning is a problem, they are always short staffed which puts the residents having to wait longer for their orders to be taken or even receive their food. They raised Moms care level and didn't inform me until payment was needed and they didn't tell me the reason why. Also my mom has had a couple of things that came up missing from her apartment. Their field trips sometimes don't happen due to No driver.

The people, residents and staff, are friendly. It appears they have had several staffing changes recently and also are short on staffing. The new management is still struggling to get organized.

Staff is great, just not enough of them, in my opinion. Have to be on them all the time to ensure mom is getting her shower and laundry done.

The management and staff were very accommodating to our situation. It was a bit of rush for us to get in there and it worked out really well. They were upfront about the costs and their capabilities to care for [name removed] . All meals were in the dining room and they made a point of introducing everyone and made us comfortable. There was a wide variety of meal choices as well. [name removed] had to go back to the hospital for additional surgery but they are holding the room for her for when she returns to the Crossings. Probably in another week or so.

Quiet neighborhood, great staff, very friendly,[name removed], director, ,[name removed], Nurse prac , and ,[name removed], Marketing, are all wonderful at their jobs!

Location and the facilities are very nice. Yes, we would recommend the community to other families depending on level of care needed and a clear understanding of how assisted level works and cost.

Staff are consistently kind and gentle with residents, even when some are repetitive with questions or undesired behavior. I visit 4-5 times a week and I have never heard a raised voice from staff. I have eaten with my mom a couple of times food was good. The staff work hard to keep patients as independent as they can be with meals. This can be upsetting to family when independence can get messy. The area where Harmony has not been consistent is cleanliness of the facility. Seems to go in cycles, I believe this is a challenge in most long term care facilities.

It's hard to rate Harmony. Many of the staff worked hard to care for Mom during her 7 months there, but there were serious issues too. She fell several times, and on her last day she suffered a head injury that led to a brain bleed. Hospice placement was delayed, and instead of support, I was told to take her home even though I couldn't care for her in that condition. Thankfully, a nurse stepped in and arranged hospital care, where Mom entered hospice and passed shortly after. What upset me most was that Harmony still charged for days after Mom was no longer there-even after her passing. I had to fight just to get a response. Overall, it was a very painful experience

It's a lovely facility, and the people have been very nice. They do not have the menu selections they portray, and the follow up by administration has not been great. They seem to be whet-staffed in many areas. Overall, we are happy with our decision, and in comparison to other facilities on the State College area, it appears to be a decent value (they are all over priced)
