The staff was great. Actually everybody was great they were all nice and friendly. The food on the other hand stinks. It needs more flavor to it. I can hardly stand it. The community is always kept nice and clean. This community really made it easy for me.

Things are going well for my mother since she made the move into this community. The staff has been very helpful in helping my mother get accommodated to the new environment. They really put in the effort to get her into all of the activities that they have available. So far I haven't heard any complaints about the food, so I'm assuming its good. The place overall has been very good.

It was a ruff start at first, but now my father is starting to settle into this community. Overall he is doing good, and being cared for very well. The staff is very willing to work with me. They are always willing to help. This is a very caring community. He has even made some meal buddies. Overall it has been a good experience so far.

I was very pleased with our tour of this community, they have great amenities offered to there residents and the building on the inside and out is absolutely beautiful. They have a great activity program they offer as well a TV room for the patients to lounge in. I have no complaints of our tour of this place it just was not the right location for my sister.

My father is really enjoying his stay at this community. The staff has been wonderful and helped him so much through the adjustment period, he can't say enough about them. The place is kept spotless at all times. Since he moved in, the community lost their chef so the meals are not as good as they used to be. They also lost their director of activities, but things will hopefully improve soon. They do have a variety of activities at the moment, though, there is something to do every afternoon.

They are very nice but way out of my price range. For what they ar offering for activities it was more than I wanted to pay. It was a fine tour and I was impressed with Denise, she was knowledgeable. Overall, it is out of my way. We need to be able to reach my loved one as soon as i can.

I toured this community for my mother and her needs. Everything went well, and my tour was nice. The community appeared to be well maintained. From what I saw everything looked nice and clean. The staff was kind and friendly. This is a nice community, but it wasn't the place for my mother.

The tour was very nice. I did like the community,but they wanted to add on additional cost for differnt things and it was not within what we could afford. the staff was very nice. It was under construction when I took my visit.

My loved one has really been enjoying his dinning experience at this community as well as the different meals they offer. The housekeeping team has been great at making sure my dads room stays clean as well as the rest of the facility. There is a lot of construction going on right now so it gets too loud for him at times.

I was able to take a tour of this community and I thought that they were great and very helpful with any thing that I had questions with. I feel like my loved one would be safe here. The only reason why my loved one did not go was because they are a little far from where I am.

This community is very nice. The staff takes good care of everyone. The carpet needs to be replaced, but over all clean. The activities are great. I would recommend this community for other families.

This is a nice community that has a great staff. I think that the aids are always willing to help and are very friendly. The rooms are nice,but could use a little more cleaning. There are activities that are offered if someone is wanting to participate. I would recommend this for other families.

Overall I was very impressed with Hilltop Village! It seems like a very nice place for a senior who is looking for independent living. It's a nice looking facility, and it has a friendly family atmosphere. Unfortunately it did not end up being the best fit for what my loved one needed, but I would recommend it as being worth a look for independent living.

I want to start off by saying that the facility provides good care. The communication between the staff could use improvement. My father was on the assisted living unit and got sick, ended up in the hospital and was later transferred to the skilled rehab side. The rehab department was great and helped him gain his strength back. Adam was a GREAT nurse and my father became attached to him right away. They got him back to good strength and he went back home. The facility is costly and we decided not to take him back to the assisted living apartment. But if he needed rehab we would take him back to the skilled unit.

Facility is in a very quiet location. 'Medium to Small in size with great accommodations including outdoor areas. Secure. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had to make a move pretty quickly and they we very helpful in getting all the paperwork squared away and stayed in close communication throughout the process.

This would have been my first choice but it was too costly. Mary Beth was knowledgeable and seemed to know all the residents by first name. She made it welcoming as opposed to a lot of the other places. Am sorry we couldn't afford it.

Both my parents moved into this facility just over a month ago. Overall they are both satisfied. Functionally my mother is doing much better than she did at home, as I was unable to provide everything she needed by myself. She requires extensive personal care and supervision, which the other facilities I checked out were not able or willing to do (except maybe Gateway in Euclid, but it was not a very nice looking place and had small rooms). Also they tell me they will care for her right through to end of life, regardless of how needy she becomes, by utilizing an additional visiting hospice service. Dad is mostly independent. They share a one bedroom with 1/2 bath, no kitchen. Most of the staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to make my parents happy. Even the chef and maintenance man welcome newcomers and mingle with the residents. A few of the aids are unfriendly. But most of them are very caring and flexible to accommodate whatever my parents want and need. They even help her brush her teeth. It took a couple weeks to learn our needs, and during that time mom was not happy. But now the nurses have mom's meds on a schedule that works well for her, and are managing her pain well. When the nurse call-button is pushed sometimes there is an hour wait, so I've learned to anticipate generally the times mom has pain and to get Dr. orders for pain meds scheduled routinely an hour before the pain comes, which is working beautifully. She requires monthly blood transfusions, and last week the first one happened smoothly without a problem. The food was very good the first 3 weeks, home style comfort food. But the past week it has not been very good. They are changing cooks, so hopefully it will improve. Also, to be fair, my parents like to eat later than scheduled mealtimes, and their food has to be re-heated in the microwave. Bathrooms could be cleaned better and more often. Laundry sometimes gets mixed up with other residents'. There is higher turnover with the aids than I would like, and sometimes they do minor annoying things, but overall they are doing a very good job. The activities are so-so, but in my opinion it is too much for one person to do well. One person is doing every aspect of all the activities by herself. The facility is very well maintained, clean, safe and nicely furnished with a country cottage feel and look. All the buildings are one level, there are no stairs. There are lots of birds, squirrels, 3 cats (outside) and Canadian geese and ducks on the premises. It is set off from the road and quiet, with woods behind, yet it's at a major intersection (Rt. 91 and Euclid) with almost everything you need nearby.
