My aunt selected Willow Falls in Crest Hill, Illinois. She could not be any happier! She loves her apartment and the food. The staff was extremely helpful in orienting her to the facility. A Place for Mom was extremely helpful in assisting with the process of finding a facility. The information they provided us with was accurate and helpful. I will be referring A Place for Mom services to family and friends. Thank you for making selecting a facility so easy!

My loved one and I stayed here briefly, and during our time there I thought they did a good job. The staff were all very friendly and the care they provided seemed good. Unfortunately due to the way the community was set-up and staffed all the residents, even on the first floor, had to be able to get out of bed and into a wheelchair on their own in case of emergency. After the fire marshal visited the community they began to enforce this rule, and we were not able to stay. The care here is good, but be aware of this if you or your loved one has mobility issues.

Our loved one has been here a few week and so far we've been impressed with the service here. The staff has been very responsive to any requests we've had, and they're very communicative when it comes to updates on my loved one's health and well-being.

My mother was here just for respite for 2 weeks so everything was inclusive. The emeritus is a very much smaller facility, it was never a consideration as a permanent placing because of the size, the programs that are available and if I'm not mistaken, I don't think they have memory care. It's a beautiful place, very clean, the rooms were excellent, the staff was excellent. I would highly recommend them as a respite but maybe not as a permanent placing for nursing. We saw the special on emeritus and I think they did a big disservice to emeritus by zeroing in on the one nursing home and I think they made a huge error in focusing on them because our experience was very good. On the one hand it was very informative and helped us know what to look out for but I kind of felt sorry for them.

Parkview Manor and their Rehab center gave me a new life! On July 1st 2013 I was taken to the nursing home unable to sit without falling backwards. The dizziness had taken over and I was unable to function physically. With determination, lots of help and care/concern from staff I am now going home not only with a new body but also a whole new outlook on life. I’d like to share some general thoughts about my Mom’s stay at Lakeshore Manor in Oshkosh, WI. When no one else would accept my Mom as a patient, Lakeshore Manor did. The facility that promotes itself as the best in the area was nice to us, however would not work with us. My mom was too angry, potentially violent, and not properly medicated to be a patient there. Lakeshore Manor accepted my Mom and worked with us as a family. Lakeshore Manor was truly a partner. The staff came to genuinely care for my Mom, no matter which one of her many dementia-induced personalities presented itself on any given day. Lakeshore Manor worked with us so that she would be properly medicated, their staff was there understanding her needs and the family needs. We worked together through some difficult situations, but Lakeshore Manor never gave up on her. The options that were available to her on a daily basis to socialize and interact with others were endless. The activities coordination was wonderful. Just watching the staff get everyone into the great room to participate was to watch an exercise in patience, love, and caring. I saw all of Lakeshore Manor’s residents treated as individuals, not just a body in a room. Lakeshore Manor allowed my Mom to remain there to the end of her life. They assisted us in recommending and working with a hospice provider. Other facilities would have forced us to move Mom once she entered hospice. Her dignity and uniqueness as a person was protected until the end. After she passed, many staff members asked me if they could come in and say their good-byes. It was personal to them, not just a job. I would never hesitate to recommend LSM to anyone. It is a wonderful facility, staffed by caring individuals and an asset to have in our community. I send my best wishes to the staff, I miss their smiling faces. I would give a 4 ½ star rating to the care my Mom received and that is because I really don’t give 5 stars to anything I review!

Prompt response time from the administrator and nurse for the assessment. Very willing to work with us. The facility is undergoing renovations. Hopefully, upon completion, the facility will seem brighter. Lovely views. Rooms are a bit small.

They have very nice staff - always on top of it. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

The tour representative was courteous and professional. The facility was clean, but the common area where the residents gather to watch TV appeared to be cramped. The facility was a little further than I would like to travel. There are no close restaurants that I saw where I could pick my Mom up a quick lunch. Although I'm aware of my Mom's level of care status the price was a little high and with a continuous increase every year, it would be a strain due to me not winning the lottery yet. For the above reasons that I mentioned this would not be a good fit for my Mom. Thankyou for your time.

All facilities have a problem with staffing. Maple Ridge is not exempt. The quality of food is good. There are times I question the choice of food for dementia patients.

There are several care givers who are exceptional and provide excellent and genuine care. The administration is willing to chat any time about my concerns. There are times that they are short staffed and the limited number of care givers is not sufficient to provide the care needed on a memory care unit, no matter how hard they work. Often the food provided for meals is difficult for the residents to eat.

It seems like they are adding more residents to existing staff. In the afternoons it seems like they just mostly sit in the tv area. I think they are going through some changes right now

The nursing staff is very good, respectful and caring, they seem to be under staffed at times. Food is average.

Seems like a nice place. Clean and a lot of amenities. Good location and they seem to have activities for their patients. I don't know if they take Medicaid for people without a lot of money, as one needs to have enough money in bank account to cover 2 years of residency.?? Which puts it out of reach of many people in need.

I had an issue with Eden Vista but wish I could have let my mother live the rest of her days there. If I could have afforded it I would have kept my Mom there.

There is hardly any parking spaces. Specially in the evenings. Otherwise I like living here. I already told 2 other people about Hilltop. I like it alot here. It's just parking spaces. There aren't enough. Thanks [name removed] for finding this place for me. I couldn't have found it on my own. A place for mom is very very helpful.

cleanliness seemed OK while we were there, but as we were checking out, we found a dead mouse in the closet because of this. Many of the girls were wonderful however it took too long to answer the call button in general. administrative staff, they were very helpful. food overall he was satisfied with the food. I cannot read the activities because he did not participate in many of them. When he was evaluated, we told everyone exactly what his needs were, and then, after being there for a short time we were raised to the next level of care. Overall, it was fine to good. The one issue was at the residence, weren't very friendly and we're often dozing off when eating dinner.

There has been a change in ownership...Now called Eden Vista. For the most part the staff has been friendly, accommodating, flexible and tends to the residents' needs. One consistent complaint centers around the food.

What we like the most about the community are the activities they offer and the friendliness of their staff members. Yes, we would recommend Eden Vista Burr Ridge community to other families based on the experience so far.

It has been easy to get to know the Executive Director, the Director of Wellness, and the Plant Operations Director. They bend over backwards to be helpful and responsive. I get instant phone calls if issues arise. As I have found elsewhere, floor staffing is strained at times, and responsiveness to my brother's beeper is not always speedy.
