Eden Senior Care

I had built a strong relationship with the staff and they truly were a partner to me. The reason I didn't give a 5 is the overall challenge of those facilities- changing staff, new company buying them, some slight breakdowns in communication. I would highly recommend them though- being involved is very important.

The people are friendly but staff seems to change often. Communication with the family isn't the best.

The community and staff have been good all around. It's just the unfortunate that they have changed management/companies multiple times in the past year and a half. Which led to staffing shortages unfortunately. That would be the only issue we have experienced.

The facility recently went from Dimensions to Eden Vista, the new owner. There is a new program manager. I'm not sure if other changes are coming. The place is smaller than some, which my mom likes. There is a homey atmosphere due to the smaller size. I was told that a lot of people complain about the food, but I don't know if the residents shared their concerns with the staff. Some staff aren't very good about returning calls. More activities would be nice, as well as outings. It is too expensive, as are most assisted care facilities.

Research the facility by talking with the residents and caretaker/wait staff; visit at meal time, look for hidden charges such as telephone calling area, transportation range included in monthly fee, meals in room vs dining hall, etc.. How are damages to personal effects caused by another resident handled?

The staff is very nice. The grounds and the building need some work. Especially the driveways and parking areas. My mother in law is not a fan of the food, she cooks all of her own meals now.

Food is very good. They've had the same chef for decades. They are in process of updating the cottages.

This is the 2nd facility I have had my wife in. The first had problems keeping management and that trickled down through the ranks. I felt care was being adversely affected. Actually heard about Maple Ridge from the marketing person at another senior community I visited.

My loved one is currently a resident at Dimensions Living Prospect Heights and overall things have been mostly good. The cleanliness is great! The activities and value for cost are okay. However, my loved one has had money stolen twice. I would recommend this facility to others, with the caveat of security/theft issue.

They seem to be doing all that they can - so no complaints. The staff are kind and attentive and treat my mom well.

My loved one is currently a resident at Charter Senior Living Poplar Creek and she is getting very good care at this facility. Based on the experience, I would recommend this facility to others.

We visited several communities and this one has a Shelter certificate so we do not have to move my mom again and the community is very friendly and they care about her.

My friend staying at Dimensions compliments and acknowledges MANY of the staff members throughout the facility.. Per [name removed] "I am pretty sure that I have covered all the people who have helped me tremendously, and unfortunately most likely THANKING THEM personally, would take days to do. My experience with the community has been nothing but amazing . The director was very friendly and explained everything making the moving process easy. I picked this community for my dad over the other places because of the affordability, cleanliness, the convenient location, friendly staff, and the senior community activities that are included with his stay.

I don't like that there's not a dining room. If you want food, you have to use a ticket and then take it back to your place to eat it by yourself so that's been a real bummer for me and for my mom. They have tons of activities, which is great, however my mom hasn't really participated yet. And the staff is super friendly.

Eden Vista of Stow is a good place for my mom and the staff members are great. I appreciate your guys for helping me - they could do more activities. However based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to others.

I would say I am overall satisfied. Workers could be a little more attentive and wish they had an alternative menu. We picked this community because, it was close to my home and her hospice worker continues to see her there.

They were experienced with care resistance.I would strongly recommend based on my experience so far.

I liked how much they really cared and took the time to know my mom. When my mom was passing away, they were very compassionate and would come in and talk to her like she was still with us even though she was unconscious. They loved my mom's cat (Boots) like it was their own.

We used Dimensions for respite care. We would have loved to stay permanently but this community did not transition to Medicaid once we ran out of money. We picked this community, because it was friendly and attentive staff, clean, and small number of residents in memory care.
