It was a very nice place. It was difficult because my loved one was very ill. But the place was wonderful. The staff were wonderful as well, very accommodating and very caring. The doctor was very good too.

They always have something going on for the residents to participate in. This is a good place to be for your loved one. The staff is excellent to work with. They have always been able to answer my questions immediately.

The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have lots of activities for the residents to participate in and the food is good too. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Our tour at Charter Poplar Creek was excellent. The people were really nice. The facility was clean. I learned a lot. The only problem was their care levels didn’t go up high enough to meet our loved one's needs. It was a really nice place, but it just didn't fit our criteria.

The community is very neat and clean and the staff is friendly, genuine, helpful, and truly are loving. They do a great job taking care of my loved one and the food and activities are great also. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Mom spent 7 years in a Senior apartment, until she could no longer manage her meds. 3 years here, we grew to love Every Staff member we met. They are consistently kind and Patient. The cottages are beautiful! Then, suddenly, we were not allowed in. When we Did get in I was disappointed- her suite was awash in clutter and she sat, shivering, in a chair. Bed didnt even have linens. Still, they did their very best, the best they could POSSIBLY do in a Pandemic world crisis and YES - We would DEFINITELY recommend THEM again and again and AGAIN!

We did a tour with this community and it was very nice. The tour was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave us lots of information to consider. The community was very nice and they were very accommodating to us.

We chose Charter Senior Living because I liked the first impression we got, it has a very homey feel to it. Also we were impressed with the staff members and after speaking with them, I felt they would take good care of my dad. My dad has a private room and it is good size for him, they do offer private and shared rooms here. The communication is great, if anything happens with my dad they make sure to call me right away. I would recommend to others looking.

Studio apartment reminds me of a walk-in closet. Staff and residents seemed friendly, and location is nice though.

It's a very nice facility. It's well kept up., and very spacious. They have walk-in showers in every bathroom, and they have a full size refrigerator and microwave in the kitchenette, but no stove. My loved one also has a nice size bedroom and a large living/dining space together. Also, each apartment has a small patio that goes out a back door from their room. The staff seem very friendly. There are a variety of activities that they do. I know there's a group of people who play cards, and they have scheduled activities around birthdays and holidays. Occasionally, I think they take outings to Walmart or places like that.

The staff are caring, and its' an affordable community. The facility is clean and smells clean. They could improve on answering phone calls from family, but the responsiveness to the residents in the facility seems good.

I like it here, and I really appreciate everything that goes on. I can talk with any of the staff about concerns that I may have. The communication is open, which is something that's really important to me. I do feel that the care is good. There are just a few small things for concern. This is my mom, so I notice every little thing. And nobody gets a 5 where she's concerned! But anything I've voiced concern about, they've been more than willing to accommodate. They're always there to bounce suggestions off of. We've had no problems in that way. They're more hands on in the dementia floor. Accidents happen, and they take care of them promptly. It always seems to be clean when I'm there. The food has been good. It looks good and tastes good. That was important to me too. They've been good about asking my loved one if she wants to participate in activities and encouraging her to do so. She feels at home here.

It is a good place. You do have to stay on top of the staff to make sure your loved one's daily living activities are being met. The staff didn't shave my loved one and I hardly recognized them when I visited for the first time. The supervisor was able to take care of this immediately for me that day.

I would tell friends that this is the place I would go back to. This is a smaller one story community with walking paths. The food was bland and not a good source of balanced meals. It was also repetitive.

The community is lovely and very nice, and very modern. The cost is high and there are extra fees for additional care or services needed. I would definitely recommend this community to others

My parents have been at Brookdale Burr Ridge for almost 18 months. They previously lived in Florida, but my dad's health issues made it impossible for them to be on their own anymore. Long story short, it was a quick yet stressful move for everyone. I was very nervous about moving them to assisted living, and fully expected them to hate it. Yes, the first couple of weeks were rough. But to my surprise, they settled into a routine and began to enjoy their new home. My mom speaks highly of all the staff ("There's no Nurse Ratched here," she tells me constantly). They both enjoy the food. They love sitting in the little courtyard in the warmer weather. Pre-COVID they were pretty involved in activities, including church services, Bible study, a fitness group, and game nights. To say I was shocked at how well they settled in would be an understatement! I am very grateful we found Brookdale, and especially thankful for everyone there who works to make my parents' experience such a good one. It may not be the fanciest place, but almost everyone here is kind and caring and does their best to make it feel like home.

The location is wonderful with the park across the street. The caregivers are wonderful and so helpful! I like my walk-in shower and washer/dryer so I can be independent.

The care my mother receives at Rock Run in Joliet is excellent. The current staff does a great job at keeping her engaged in activities. Whenever I visit her she is always active and content. The caretakers do very well with her personal hygiene. She always has clean clothes on and her hair usually looks pretty good. [name removed],who runs the front desk, keeps me well informed with my mothers needs and what is happening with the Corona Virus situation. Overall I am satisfied with the care my mother receives and that is most important. I would definitely recommend Rock Run to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

I looked at Summit Place a year before mom moved in, I was impressed with the people I dealt with. At Summit Place she is not just a number. They were so helpful with helping my mom adjust. My mom suffers from depression and anxiety so it was a hard process. Every member of the staff down to the kitchen staff were so helpful to make this move successful. They do not cater to limited diets but do always have Salmon and Chicken as a dinner options.

I feel Rock Run is a good value. The way the community is laid out they have a lot of ramps on the first floor which may be hard for those people getting around independently to navigate. We have been happy overall.
