The friendliness of staff and warm greeting and helpfulness by receptionist was appreciated. How you are greeted sets the tone for your experience. That held true throughout the tour from the sales manager, the director to the tenants. Happy, smiling, friendly greetings of tenants tells the story. The variety of activity rooms and dining room setting were exciting and inviting. The accomodations are roomy and clean. It was our first tour and we felt we had to look no further for my sister who is a new amputee.

The visit to Marbella was very educational and answered all my questions. This is early in my decision of residency or home care.

The facility was very clean and recently updated making it bright and it didn't feel old and tired. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond in showing the different apartments available and even going back through them a second time in order to make the right choice of apartments. We talked to a few residents and they gave glowing remarks and recommendations. We were shown the daily menu options for the week which were fabulous. The absolute deciding factor was the above plus the fact that each apartment had its own washer and dryer in the apartment which the others we looked at had shared laundry rooms on each floor. Also we were impressed at the amount of the monthly rent for all that.

My father in law just moved in, and he couldn’t be happier! We loved the place from the moment we toured the facility.

What a wonderful experience! This facility is lovely. There are lots of activities and they are inclusive. They encourage the residents to be active and they are welcoming to the family members as well. The facility was very clean. Everyone we met was so nice, including the residence we interacted with. Our tour guide was very helpful and knowlegable. She was pretty much the biggest reason for us to want to move mom into this facility. Very updated. Can't say enough good.

All of our questions were answered. The facility was clean and well organized. All of the residents we saw all being tended to, and doing activities, eating, or enjoying the grounds.

[name removed] was a delightful, informative and intuitive guide. Walking in the door and the first thing I see is a sign with my name welcoming me (what a lovely gesture). [name removed] had selected an apartment based on our telephone conversation and it was perfect! Everyone I met was happy, pleasant and welcoming. That two staff members shared that their mothers had lived there was the best accolade anyone could give.

Excellent facility, clean, organized and a pleasant experience either staff. Going to use them for my father-in-law.

[Name Removed] was so helpful & informative and did an amazing job of touring the site and talking g about the amenities with my father in law feeling pressure at all. She was able to demonstrate the amazing value for the money so my father in law signed a lease on Sunday.

I toured the facility on behalf of my mother-in-law. [name removed] (who provided the tour) was warm and friendly. She answered all my questions with patience and understanding. The facility was clean and well maintained. This is someplace I would consider for my own retirement. Thank you for taking the time to show me around and to listen, both were appreciated.

[Name Removed]was awesome! The facility is undergoing a renovation, but other than that it offered all that we needed.

My Mother has lived by herself for over 25 years. We are worried about moving her out of her comfort zone. I'm hoping being around people her age will help with this transition. She needs some extra care and to downsize! It's hard to visit her every day, so I'm hoping that the extra care will be a blessing. The staff made me feel welcome and that my Mother will be okay.

I have been very happy here at Discovery Village Des Plaines. The residents and staff are great people. The meals are very good and healthy. I enjoy the variety of activities. I would recommend Discovery.

The facility is clean, welcoming, and offers a nice variety of activities to engage their residents allowing them to socialize. The amenities are beneficial offering all the residents need conveniently on site. It is especially nice to see how well veterans and/or their spouses are recognized and well taken care of. Most of all, we really appreciate and thank the administrative staff and the workers for their attentive service, pleasant demeanors, and compassion.
