I would rate a solid 5 overall. Activities are a 5, Activities are varied and all kinds of interests are covered. My mom loves ALL of the staff - kitchen, front office, nursing staff and care givers. Everyone helps everyone else when there is a shortage anywhere. And the food is outstanding. The chef at New Seasons goes all out everyday, and especially on holidays. The dining room is decorated, and the food and people are celebrated in style. So the kitchen, dining room staff and food are a 10 on a scale of 1 to 5. Actually all the staff deserve more than a 5. Everyone is so kind and willing to go all out for all residents. There is a rosary club on Saturdays, and Sundays someone comes in to celebrate mass and give communion. Cleanliness is everyone's responsibility and the facility is clean and bright. The mechanical/maintenance staff do a great job keeping the facility running. There is one priority that is of tremendous importance at a facility with CONTRACTED SNOW REMOVAL!!! New Seasons gets an F Minus!!!! The parking lot is small, and you can't maneuver a snow plow on a regular truck in the HANDICAPPED AREA! AFTER A FULL MONTH, ONE OF THE SPOTS WAS STILL OBSTRUCTED, AND IN THE ENTRANCE CIRCLE, A HUGE PILE ALSO OBSTRUCTED A HANDICAPPED SPOT, WHICH IMPEDED PATIENT PICK UPS AND DROP OFFS!!!! You need to hire a company who possesses at least one BOBCAT AND 2 PEOPLE WITH SHOVELS In addition to the regular plows. You CAN and SHOULD DO BETTER - THIS IS ON YOU, CORPORATE! ARE YOU LISTENING?!! F minus on SAFETY and Snow Removal!!

It was a very nice tour of the memory care wing. [Name Removed] answered all of our questions fully and made us feel that my dad would be very well taken care of there. The facility is well-maintained and everyone seems to truly enjoy their jobs. She explained exactly what they provide and how they would care for my dad. One thing that impressed my mom and I was how[Name Removed]called each resident that we encountered by name. To us, that shows a level of caring that we didn’t see in other facilities. We feel very comfortable with the possibility of placing my dad in their care.

It looks like a very nice place to stay. They are remodeling all the common areas. The rooms looked very nice.

The residents and staff are very friendly and welcoming. There are many activities to participate in and my favorite are the history lectures. The lectures are very informative, and we are currently learning about the civil war. I also enjoy meal chats with the Director of Dining services. I love living at Discovery Village Des Plaines!

Friendly staff and residents. Everyone made us feel welcome. They even served us lunch during our visit. Good food. A lot of amenities for the price.

Older but well-kept facility with both AL and MC units. Amenities seem nice and staff is friendly and helpful. I liked that some units have doors directly outside to courtyards. Pretty landscaping and nice view of pond nearby. Single floor means no elevators to navigate.

Warm and inviting, plenty of events and good food. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families.

Nice facility, just price-wise well out of reach for my budget. Executive Director, [Name Removed], was very helpful and explained their services. The do have a day program that runs 7 days a week from 9am-5pm that can be attended all 7 days, or just certain data if the week or even half days that financially, for me, would be workable. I needed a secure Assisted Living facility almost immediately and Benton House did not work for me financially

I found it very clean and the employees were very helpful. We weren't very happy about the lunch. I think in the future I may seriously consider it. I'm just not ready yet

I really enjoyed the facility and the programs that it offers. I don’t like the fact that it is kind of far from my house and the fact that it is so big I’m afraid my mom would get lost in it. I’m still in the process of looking at other facilities before I make my decision. Thank you R/Julie

This is a very nice place. It provides everything a person needs in one price. They have 3 meals a day, doctor transportation, shopping transportation and even light house keeping. The rooms are a little small but there are planting of lounges and activities. They even have a church

We really liked the Forum at Memorial Woods. It was clean, beautiful, spacious, full of amenities and activities. The dealbreaker to us, however, was that we could not actually “age in place“, in the independent living apartment, we would start residing in. If one of us needed additional help, or assisted living, that person would either have to move into their assisted living area, or we would have to pay for outside, help to come in and help us in our independent living apartment. So this was just not an option for us.

Love Westgate Village and the staff. Such a friendly place we visited. We hope to soon make this our home.

My husband and I recently toured Addington Place in Burlington, Iowa. We were searching for a placement for his mother. Our first impression of Addington Place was “Wow! This place is beautiful!” [Name Removed] met us at the door and after a brief introduction to Addington Place he gave us a tour of the Memory Care unit. I loved the lay out of the unit and the room we were shown was perfect down to being able to have a bird feeder outside her window in the courtyard. As much as I was impressed with how beautiful the building and grounds were, I was observing the staff and residents. I noted there was a feeling of calmness, of home, of being among friends, of caring. There were smiles and laughter and quiet conversations. These interactions were what was important to me. As we left I said to my husband… “This place feels like a warm hug” This is where I want his mother to call home.

It was very clean. And well kept. The tour was good. The rooms were a little small, but nice. The tour guide answered all of our questions.

It’s just a beautiful place! [name removed] was very nice, caring, professional. It has lovely amenities and options for activities.

Due to the speed of contacting us and getting the necessary parameters of what we were looking for. I would recommend to others.

Marbella Oroville staff was extremely helpful in helping us get through all the paperwork that goes into getting mom moved into the facility. Everyone was responsive with emails and texts whenever we had a question. The staff went out of their way to make mom feel at home when we arrived. Everyone introduced themselves and took the time to chat with mom and the family. Great overall experience.
