My mother is suffering from memory care issues and we had hoped to get some help with that. The caretaker who was provided by ComForcare was really great. She provided home care help by doing some laundry, making the bed, and sometimes cooking a meal for my mother. There weren't any activities, but this caretaker would sit with my mother and have long talks about everything. The manager at this particular office was also very nice and helpful. The reason my ratings are a bit low is because of several paperwork issues I had with the managers of this office. I couldn't reach them by phone and they were slow in returning my calls. Unfortunately, as my mother's condition worsens, I'm searching out other options for her future care.

Not pleased at all with ComForcare Senior services. I'm totally unimpressed with the services. The caregiver they sent to help me waited for me to tell her every little thing to do. She would not do anything unless I asked her to. I was very disappointed and hurt by the company while caring for me in my time of need.

It's mediocre. Very very nice guy, Chad, very pleasant but you know, he's only provided one person not two for 24/7 care who can communicate and really hasn't delivered. It's been tolerable but it really hasn't been acceptable. He doesn't manage the people. Not everybody is trained. It's all mediocre. He's trying but he doesn't deliver on what he sells. We're getting less than what we had expected

Feels like the “sale” or $$ was more of a consideration than the care of the client. Based on my conversations, they knew that I am highly concerned about who cares for my Mother because the right aide can make a tremendous difference in your loved one’s quality of life. When that aid does not perform to your standards, when they spend more time watching television or texting than they do tending to their charge or maintaining a clean and safe household – that is a problem. The other reason I feel like the sale was at the forefront of our interaction because the agency suggested that I modify the schedule of the nurse who works for us during the week so that perhaps to accommodate someone else the agency could find for us! I would not inconvenience the gem that we have just to allow an agency to make a sale. I explicitly – in detail - conveyed to the agency the job's responsibilities for whomever is hired to come into my home to care for my loved one. I was honest about experiences we’ve had in the past and even more specific about what we would and would not tolerate and the type of person we hoped to employ (including work experience, demeanor, physical stature, etc.). Please meet and interview candidates prior to working for you. I met only one of the aides before she was scheduled to work for us. She was nice and did a good job but could not sustain the physicality required for the job. I did not meet the other two until the day they started work. I also can’t stress enough doing your own background checks through Internet search and county records. Nurse Ratchet apparently was arrested for Grand Theft >$300 and Exploitation of Elderly less than $20,000. She was NOT convicted of the alleged conviction and the agency did run a Level 2 background check on her before and once I notified them of my findings – and she passed both background checks. HOWEVER, had I known this beforehand, she would not have stepped foot into my home, much less cared for my Mom. To the credit of the agency - they indicated they will not hire her again for future cases, but I’m out money, unhappy, we think there is a bruise on my Mom because of this ratchet CNA and now I am writing this review… Throughout the conversations with the agency, there were a few comments about my Mom that I found offensive, one such “label” was “low-functioning”. Let me be crystal clear (in hopes they read this and learn to be more sensitive to other clients). My Mom has foggy moments – but is in NO WAY “low functioning”. And if she were “low functioning” I think it quite insensitive to refer to someone in this manner – HIGHLY insensitive. I’ve shelled out $$$$ to this agency for 3 mismatched aides and have gotten stress and anxiety in return. The last aid - Nurse Ratchet - more than anything did not follow directions, pretty much wanted to sit and watch TV instead of providing care AND disrespected not only me, my Mother and my Husband but also my home – because now I have to incur the expense to hire a professional carpet cleaner to remove food from my carpet that should not been there if the aid would have followed my demonstrations/directions. I asked the agency to take care of the carpet and to date have heard nothing. What’s the net net on my experience with ComForCare? My ROI (Return on Investment) is negative. And what’s also interesting is that they have not asked me to do a review – usually if you’ve had a good experience with a business, they typically will ask you to provide your personal experience and review… This speaks volumes.

The caregivers on reliable. The owner has little involvement in the company. The girls in the office are rude, unprofessional and unqualified. I highly recommend not going with this company.

I agree with prior poor review. Stay away from this company. I provided appropriate negative feedback to owner, who dismissed and minimized a valid complaint. I am filing complaint with the State of FL.

We needed an in-home caregiver for my 100 y.o. friend who was fully cognitive, but had some physical disabilities. This agency was able to provide us with a caregiver right away for a couple hours a day every other day. Their price was comparable to other companies. They sent a nice nurse to do an assessment. However, we ended their service after a few months. The caregiver came too early in the morning, did not always do simple house chores as my friend asked (e.g., wiping microwave, changing water in a vase, trash removal), was not friendly nor talked much, would not change a simple band aid, and phone calls were not always returned from their office. My friend said she did not feel like they cared about her, and there was no compassion. We talked to their administrators about the above problems, and nothing was changed and there were no apologies. We gave them plenty of time to correct the situation, but they could not find a different, permanent caregiver. Instead, we had several different people show up. Very confusing for a 100 y.o. client. Not good.

Trying to work with ComForCare was a nightmare. It was really just one thing after another. It started when we first hired them to come to the house for 4 hours a day 5 days a week. We really liked one of the first few people, [Removed]. My loved one adored her, but she had a family emergency and wasn't able to stay with us. One person did nothing but preach to my loved one for his entire shift, another left my loved one unattended to shop and look for apartments, and another just did not get along with my loved one. The last straw was when I found out one of the caretakers was making my loved one pay to fill up her gas tank. She was fired, and the company did reimburse us, but it was really too late. I made it clear that I thought their company was a joke and that I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It was such an uncomfortable, terrible experience.

My mom & I had terrible experiences with this agency. Frequent no shows (with no phone call) & the company didn't seem to care. My mom has dementia, & no shows could and have lead to really bad situations for her. This company CANNOT be counted upon!

The personnel that we interacted with were very friendly. The aide who came out was taking over, and moving things. Our loved one is legally blind, so this was not good, and she was getting into things cupboards and drawers and things that she shouldn't have been. When I did call and let them know that it wasn't working out, they came right out and took care of it. We didn't want a replacement after that, though. It wasn't a great experience for us. We chose them because they were the quickest response we had.

We got a letter notifying us that they were closing, as he was there for just two months. They would have certainly had to of known that the facility was set to close and should not have allowed him to move in with that being the case. Was a very frustrating experience to say the least.

I wasn't impressed with their rudeness of the managers. They didn't keep their commitments. The company stated they would do some light housekeeping and the caregivers didn't provide this. They would wait to the last minute to let the family know that the caregivers wouldn't be there.

I highly recommend not going with this company. Your caregivers don’t show up or they show up late. Most of the caregivers have little to no experience at all. Very unreliable company .

Horrible. Caregivers don’t show up or even do what you ask them to. You call and no one answers or office says someone will get back to you or be there shortly and they never do. Would not recommend. Got rid of them after a week.

Frighteningly bad... Poor level of care. One of the Aides let our parent fall down the steps , which resulted in a hospital stay. Probably theft ~ couldn't prove which Aide helped themselves to our parent's jewelry but there were no other suspects. Family heirlooms are gone. Careless Aides, lots of breakage. Poor knowledge of basic house care skills. Poor housekeeping skills ~ low level of knowledge and training (example: one Aide never empties the lint trap in the dryer ~ could have caused a fire). Owner did nothing to rectify the situation.

Hired this agency to take care of a relative 24/7 - live-in. THEY LEFT HER ALONE - in the company of a MINOR - to do errands!!! Then was LEFT IN THE CAR in 92 degree HEAT !!!- WINDOWS ROLLED UP!!!. We got a CALL from the DEPUTY !!! The aides were the cause of MOLD TO GROW - leaving the TEMPERATURE TOO HIGH in the residence.!!!! FURNITURE had to be THROWN AWAY, SHEET ROCK HAD TO BE REPLACED !!!!! They brought BED BUGS & ROACHES in with them !!! Had to FUMIGATE, not once but TWICE!!! THROW BEDS AWAY, sheets etc !!! They [Removed] Our relative was constantly given food to give her an UPSET STOMACH & DIARRHEA. The aides "CLEANED" the counters with a BUCKET FULL OF BLACK WATER.!!! We did research before hiring. I wish someone had left a legitimate review on this company. Let us save you a lot of time, stress & heartache. STAY AWAY IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU!!!!

Health care worker may or may not have stolen my mom's jewelry, police were not able to prove anything. Come for Care worker did help herself to my mom's ATM card (on bank video), but claimed she gave the money back to my mom, hard to prove, but truly rotten. Come for Care worker did purchase alcohol and cigarettes for my mom. Since I believe the employee still works at Come for Care, I can not offer any stars.

My sister and I brought in ComForCare to assist my 93 year old mother. Mom is physically unable to do the things she used to do. It was very hard convincing her that she needed care, but she finally agreed to give it a try. We used their service for five weeks, and our experience has been horrible. Although we were promised that my mother would be assigned one caregiver for continuity and stability, she had four caregivers over a five week period. The caregivers did not show up when promised leaving my mother to fend for herself; ComForCare did not even call with an explanation. I had to call them to ask what happened. Their explanation was that it was a miscommunication between the office and the caregiver. This is totally unacceptable. Miscommunication when dealing with senior care can lead to serious injury or even death. At this point I could not recommend ComForCare to care for anyone.

HomeWell Senior Care was a thrown together, last minute thought as a business. I had dirty dishes that had been put back as clean. Refusals to clean the bathtub..... I had a major surgery and wanted an aid because of the pain meds. Then after a week I could not lift......clean..... The aids spent more than 2 of the three hours at my home on their cell phones, just sitting around. I was charged $23 an hour and had to have them for 3 as per company rule. I had to put up with racial remarks and conversation relating to the police shootings..... Her remarks made me very uncomfortable in my own home. As she was late several times and doing less and less I felt like I could not say any thing for fear of argument...... because her attitude was not friendly from the start. When I spoke with [removed], she didn't want to hear any thing I had to say. Her reaction was" well do you still need help?" I said of course. She then said "o.k. we will get you some one else." The next lady was just as bad. The decent thing to do would have been to tell me to hire a cleaning company. But they took my money while I ended up doing cleaning {leaving me in pain} until I just told them not to send anyone again. Of course I cannot tell you every thing that happened and didn't happen in this message. But I do not believe this company shouldn't exist.
