[name removed] really difficult to coordinate transportation to medical appts and making sure the staff gets your loved one ready for the appointment. Most staff members are friend and do try to help. But we moved our loved ones out of Harvard Square because new other facility does a better job at ensuring coordination for appointments, so you don't have to do it yourself. There are some other examples where the lack of coordination is a problem. If your loved one has even a mild level of cognitive decline, don't choose this facility

It's pricey but clean, staff is limited so need to wait a bit for help, they are really after the sale and if there are issues afterwards it can be difficult to have those issues addressed

Cogir was not what they reported to be. Very disappointing. No bus. No help. I needed heart surgery and no one to help with Coco. Food was good but servers barely spoke English. The activities that weren't cancelled were fun. No water aerobics even when said there would be. No staff in the evenings if you had a problem. I called the desk and was told to call 911. That's when I decided I could do that at home for a lot less money. And my fire department knows me. My son and I were really hoping that was going to work. They made the bus trips sound so inviting. After moving in the other resident told me there had been no bus trips in over 8 months and there were none while I lived there.

The caregivers and day-to-day staff are wonderful and caring. The food and kitchen staff are excellent. Corporate and admin can’t seem to get their act together. Poor communication. Information was not forthcoming.

The food is awful, they seem to be understaffed, and they never did automatic review of care level.

There are too few intellectual activities , too few trips to places like the Phoenix Art Museum, far too few workout classes -- far too many activities that treat the participants like they are too mentally feeble to recite the alphabet.

The Good: Close to hospital A-Okay: Food is edible Meh: Activities (think dollar store stuff) The Bad: Administration is unfriendly Ocean Ridge was the best senior living when we first visited a few years back. Things have gone downhill. It’s really too bad, but the director I had changed in the past two years or so.

What stood out most was the appearance that nobody was caring for my mom. In one year there were no calls that she needs more toilet paper, soap or shampoo. Her toenails were so long they looked like claws. This is after requesting a nail trim. Her garbage was routinely overflowing with dirty Depends but they are supposed to empty every shift change. Watching employees set residents at dining tables for lunch that were still filthy from breakfast. We feel horrible because we assumed someone was paying attention but that is not the case.

Experience was a 5 until we actually did the paperwork with lady in charge. That would be a 2. When it comes to the friendliness head coordinator 2 other staff 5. Quality of care-long story. Staff ran out of mom's pain meds, which should never happen. I rate that a 3. Support staff, kitchen, laundry, helpers are rated a 5. Yes I would, recommend this community to other families but I would also tell them that with an aging parent, you have to do you do diligants. Follow up and check on them no matter where they are living. This facility is the best in the area where mom resides.

I paid extra for extra nursing care and assistance with meals They brought up terrible pureed food an hour or 2 before somebody could assist with my mothers meals Terrible if family member can't take care of themselves Never bathed her Paid for a one bedroom with bath, she was never showered once in 2 months Lots of Staff who brought food was dismissive to family Put it on mothers night stand and left room Mother was could not even reach food and had to wait 2 hours for someone to assist with eating cold food poorly prepared When I witnessed this happening I was shocked and saddened They dismissed it and said that is how it is done Do not recommend this place to anyone

My mother has dementia and forgets to go eat, there no reminders. Before I moved her out she hadn't ate in two days. She kept telling me there were roaches in her room. When we were packing up her bed we found a dead roach under her covers. Dementia and independent living for her didn't work she could have died. I don't drive and couldn't come visit every day. She never interacted with anyone.

Medication failure daily, Mom repeatedly told staff, so after 10 days we left. I requested a meeting the 1st week in March when the Director returned from vacation and talk about lesson learned and a partial refund. I still haven't heard back. I still have all email's stating issues, however nothing . Life to short, so it all on Glenwood reputation is questionable.

Solista is in disarray in all areas at present. I think they need to take a much different look at their organization and their attitudes and their purpose for running such a facility. I see that corporate HQ in Canada is a problem. I do not see it being profitable. Needless to say, I disliked living there in every way.

Ask about fees for meals for quests of tenants. No longer free, now [price removed] per extra meals. No charge when I signed lease. Not worth [price removed] bucks. Staff need to be more flexible.

This location is as lacking as one can imagine. My family member is paying $[fee removed] a month for a facility where the phone system has not worked for a week. Literally... no phones. The doctor tried to fax a prescription and couldn't.... for a week. The excuse is always the same.... next week, next week. The elevators are dirty and inoperable half the time. There are mice and roaches in the resident's apartments. This summer, it took two weeks for the operations team to address a lack of AC on days over 100. Water to apartments has been off sometimes twice a week. The resident's gathering room on the upper floor has been ripped apart for months with no finish date, no access and little communication.

Elance is an archaic verb that means "to throw or to launch" This facility has the knack of throwing its residents into chaos. Every couple years this facility is sold or under new management. The new flavor of the month is COGIR whose CEO, [name removed], says that senior living operators still have a "chance to regain margins in excess of 40%." This statement reeks of the mentality that seizing profits on the back of the elderly is the best game in town. Such margins have gutted staff, reduced services, and limited activities at this facility and others. Each new management and ownership company creates a facade of improvements, while the infrastructure of the building remains poorly maintained. In unit HVAC are old and function intermittently. Repairs and renovations have created an onslaught of mice and roaches. The tired and decrepit looking elevators in the building mimic the general mood of the facility. The last management company [name removed] left the facility with several days notice

Ever since my parents moved in, the level of services and quality of services have diminished. Costs remain the same though. I have tried multiple times to speak with a manager and they are "not available" and haven't returned my calls. I have even emailed corporate with no reply. As soon as we find another option that works, they are moving.

We had a very poor experience once it was sold and rebranded as Elance. It was clear that cost cutting was underway. Staff turned over and seemed unhappy. We believe that it was only because we were there multiple times during the week that our family member received the care deserved. We would NOT recommend Elance to anyone.

Our family did not have a good experience at Park Terrace. Park Terrace was decent for the price right up until they got rid of assisted-living and gave us 30 days to find a new place

Our experience with the care was very bad. They were inconsistent in their billing practices. They did not offer what they advertised. I could not get the help we needed for her daily activities such as dressing and bathing I had to higher outside help to just get the bare minimum done. the management was not helpful. They could not follow thru with anything they promised. We moved her a few months ago
