A great place with good intentions. I think they could do a better job at integrating more people. My biggest complaint is that it is suppose to be a non-smoking facility. The hallways smell like smoke. Everything else is good. People really make friends there. The management seems to really care about residents. My mother had a stroke and they were right there with her and stayed in contact with me. For the value, if you are someone who doesn't mind the smoke, this would be perfect!

It probably started out as a three, but has leveled out to a four. I don't have anything specific that they do well, or that needs to be particularly improved upon, at this point.

My mom lives here at Bayside Terrace and we could not be happier that she is there. Bayside Terrace feels like home and is a much smaller community rather than the "hotel" feel that others in the area gave myself and my mother. The staff is so friendly, from the tour till now the staff is always top notch. Bayside Terrace is a great place.

This place was nice but didn't actually tour apartments/rooms because none were available. No memory care and the building is designed for more independent or assisted living. I heard the food was great.

Lodge like atmosphere. Alysa is a dynamo. Nice grounds. I like that it is away from the city noise.

Genuinely warm and welcoming staff. Melon is great. Right across from the hospital - good for some, but I'm concerned about the noise.

My parents stayed here for a short time, and I thought it was a very nice place overall. Unfortunately it just was not a good fit for my loved ones. The facility itself is beautiful, well kept, and clean, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the facility is very large and the rooms my parents were placed in made it somewhat of an ordeal to get to and from meals and activities. For those without any mobility worries this would be a wonderful place!

The staff was great and very caring. It was very exceptional and caring to them.

We visited this community while looking into care options for a loved one. Emerald Pond seemed like a nice place overall, the facility was clean and well kept and the staff members we met were friendly. There were not a lot of residents out and about so it was hard to get a good sense of the social atmosphere or activities. It was also a little on the pricey side.

Atrium Village is a lovely facility. My mom has an apartment in assisted living with 2 big windows overlooking a nice garden and a huge cherry tree. The staff is always friendly and helpful; the food is very good. There is a daily paper that offers information on the days' available activities. The activities are well attended. The residents that I have met are happy and appreciative of their lifestyle at Atrium. My mom has cable TV in 2 rooms and also 2 phones plus her cell phone. The additional fee for cable TV and phone service is minimal. There are a number of safety features including a call button worn by residents on a lariat which may be used for any reason, not just emergencies. My mom has hospice care and her hospice agency is welcome and active at Atrium Village.

Clean, no bad smells, furnish own room. No kitchenette. Not much visitor parking.

I think they do a great job overall at Atrium Village. The facilities are very nice, and they've got a great variety of activities and events. One of the main things that drew us here is the great social atmosphere the community has, there are always people out in the common areas socializing. They also do a great job with the food, my loved one has had very good things to say! We saw quite a few options in the area, and for the price Atrium Village also provides very nice sized apartments. The one complaint I have is that they did not follow through on everything that they promised during the tour. There were a lot of little services like guides to help her get acclimated and settled, but she ended up having to find her own way around. But overall we are very pleased with how things have turned out, and I would recommend Atrium Village highly!

Our family had a great impression of Columbia Heights during the search process. My mother was so impressed that she wanted to pay the deposit that very day. The staff and the facility have been wonderful. I am concerned that their procedures and practices are not in keeping with our expectations. Unfortunately our experience upon moving in was less than stellar. Although the move-in date was decided a month in advance and indicated on the paperwork we signed they were not prepared for her arrival. The apartment had not been cleaned nor had the work on the AC/Heating been completed. No explanation was given except they didn't know that she was moving in on that date. The name by her door was spelled incorrectly. It still has not been corrected. My mother's health took a turn for the worse the first month she was there and she ended up needing increased care. There were numerous changes in her health care plan and those directives did not reach the appropriate staff members. We still remain concerned that the medications are not being accurately dispensed and that she is not receiving scheduled showers and room cleaning we asked for. This is troubling and if my mom wasn't happy to be there we might consider moving her to another assisted living facility. The staff is very compassionate and caring with my mother and we have nothing but praise for that care once it is in place. When mom had a heart attach a staff member stayed in her room and held her while she cried as they waited for the ambulance to arrive. In a nutshell the problems we encountered were the lack of procedures that would ensure the services paid for are actually provided by staff.

Pinecrest is a wonderful facility. Their friendliness and kindness is just superior. The food is good and there are lots of activities. It's very clean, and just a very nice place.

On the whole it's going well. It's hard getting her involved in activities, and I have asked often to have them knock on her door, or wake her to join, but I have to stay on top of that. I wish there was a little more housekeeping, but they offer it once a week unless you pay for more often. The food is okay, I would like it to be a little higher quality, but on the whole I think it's nutritious, if not always satisfying.

I enjoyed visiting The Garden Club, and found the facility to be very attractive. I really love the friendly staff, and the access to the outside from many of the apartments, which would be convenient for my dogs and me. I will contact them when and if I sell my house.

Overall I think they do an excellent job at The Fountains at Washington House. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff are all very friendly. However, I do think they could do a better job introducing new residents and families to the community. The dining hall was fairly confusing the first few times, it felt like trying to find a table to sit at at lunch on the first day of high school. My loved one also said they could communicate better with the residents, the facility has been on a lockdown to prevent the flu from spreading for a few days, but she feels in the dark about when that might be lifted.

They are doing a good job. Everyone is very attentive. It's kept very clean. The food is one of the best things about it. It's really pretty good. I don't really have anything at this point that I would like to see improved or done better.

So far things have gone well at Atrium Village. It is a nice looking place, the staff have all been friendly and helpful, and my loved one is settling in well!
