My Mom is enjoying her new home at Cogir of Manteca. Now that she's acclimated, she's found new friends to do things with, and the social activities that are planned weekly are keeping the residents active and entertained. The staff is attentive, and friendly, and I'm happy with how Mom is being treated."

The property is a bit on the old side, they are updating things right now, so hopefully the overall look will be updated, but it is a great safe place. The staff makes a point to call the residents by their names. They really do care about the residents.

Going to get a mix of really good people and unfortunately some lazy ones who aren't as helpful. Staffing has been short lately. Don't know if that is on purpose or due to turnover. Food is just ok. Would have given it a 4 in the first 6 months but quality has dropped. My Mother has been at Cogir just over a year.

When my mother in law was there they seemed to always be short staffed and her necklace button rarely worked.

The staff is helpful and friendly. They take the time to get to know each resident. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Staff is excellent but overworked. Food is poor most of time- meat way overdone and dry. Rooms and facility nice. Management is poor. They don't help w/moving in or out, don't treat staff well, and ignore residents, and if you complain, they'll tell you "if you don't like it, get out." Big turnover.

We have been sick and they have brought every meal to us. The food is better than [community removed]. Target is very close. We saved $[removed] a month but it is a doll house. Very small.

We chose this facility because of the great communication with sales team, and getting a price that was affordable. So far, my folks seem happy. The only thing they do not like is the laundry room.

Feels like home. I would highly recommend to others.

The staff is willing to help, took the time to answer questions and didn't make you feel rushed. There is a wide range of activities available but my parents haven't really taken advantage of that although what they did do they enjoyed. The meals have gotten mixed reviews some good, some awful but my sister liked the couple of items she tried.

Admin staff - there are issues with turnover. Meals/dining - although my mom cooks for herself, but when she has eaten at the dining room, she thought it was just ok. Apartment size is great. Lots of different activities- my mom likes the lunches out, happy hours, trips to casino, tulip festival, museums etc. There is always something going on.

So far it has been a great experience for my mom at Cogir. [name removed] has been the MOST amazing person to work with with, she answered every question we had and helped handle getting mom in and comfortable. She makes the place SO special. I will say that mom is still settling in and finding her groove. But with so many activities to do, I’m sure she will get there.

The location of Cogir at Queen Anne is good because it is close to Seattle center which offers access to activities. It is not located near heavily traffic streets consequently noise it’s not a problem. I especially like the food that is served here. They were good choices. I especially like the soup for my lunch time. Finally there are many choices for walking outside. Besides going at Seattle Center,. I usually get a good walking in every day.

The med techs and the lady from the kitchen that brought Mom's meals to her were so pleasant, accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. Some of the care givers worked hard but others did not. My Mom was on hospice so they would leave some things for the hospice aides to do when they came to visit rather than doing it themselves. That being said, the caregivers were friendly and seemingly liked their care giving duties, except for one or two caregivers who seemed burnt out, or overly tired especially those worked the noc shift. Overall we had a very good experience with the staff. They treated Mom well.

The Exec Dir is wonderful & truly cares about the residents. Yes I would recommend the community to other families based on the experience so far.

They are very kind and courteous but follow-up frequently since they may often be overwhelmed with daily functions. The food isn't my mom's favorite. She often thinks it's lacking a lot of flavor and seasoning.

Sales Manager [name removed] is amazing. She reflects the general vibe of the entire place. Residents are happy and have great relationships with the staff. [name removed] advised that the focus of Bellingham at Orchard is that each resident is given a purpose. So, they are keen on knowing about your family member so they can gear activities to their interests. There are only about 60 residents which is I personally think is great because the staff get to know the residents well. The whole place has a lovely outdoor courtyard. [name removed] organizes a monthly support group for family members. My mom has a private room with her own bed from home and a bit of furniture and her pictures, plus a bird feeder. And it's pet friendly. [name removed]organizes a monthly petting zoo (Animals for therapy) event. Our family has our providers through Family Care Network. FYI- FCN has in home care available for residents at Orchard. My mom's condition is moving quickly so she's already being referred to hospice, and she can get that service at Bellingham at Orchard. This is all new for me and I do have to say only drawback, but from what I understand is typical, is that items from rooms go missing or go walk about. Meaning other residents come by and pick up items and wander around with them. So, that was a bit disconcerting for me, but from what I understand that's not unusual in a memory care facility. You need to take pictures of the items you bring to the facility and give that inventory to Bellingham at Orchard. Plus, you must label everything so it can be returned to the proper room.

Staff could answer the phone more quickly or have a second person answer the phone. Too much carbohydrates and filler foods. Need more beverage options

The staff is very friendly and considerate. There are lots of activities. The landscaping is pretty. The food is mediocre.
