I think the community is very good. The staff is very great, they always do a good job helping me and others. I enjoy several of the activities. The desserts are always wonderful. Food servings can even be too large.

I live in this community and I love it here.

I would recommend you consider the community for your loved one. Overall the environment is good. Some of the activities available are bingo, arts and crafts, social hours, and more for the residents to choose.

I have lived in The Stratford for the last 5 years. I feel comfortable here. At first there were a series of general managers, a disability factor. But our current manager [name removed] is doing a very effective job. The main problem i see is the work done by house keepers. They turn over frequently. The pay is love & the job is hard. Food here has improved in the past 2 years with management getting feedback from residents.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. My problem is the food. Salt, salt, salt! We are all older and don't need that much salt. Some people have stopped coming to the dining room. They order food from outside. Residents who have been here several years have noticed a steady decline in the food quality.

Friendly but insufficient staff. Front desk needs more coverage. The salads are good, especially on [date removed]. Colorful - plenty of chicken. Needs to be more nutritional - vegetables not overcooked. I question a meal of fried shrimp, fish, and hush puppies plus pit for desert. I would not give this info to my doctor. We are seniors - many in wheelchairs. Concentrate more on independent, healthy seniors.

Excellent communication between managers and residents. Poor communication among residents - lacks hearing skills lacks brain understanding. Too much repetition. Not a totally independent center, seems like more assisted living than independent. Reason I had to leave = too many old residents, cannot reason, have logic and their needs for caregivers.

We looked at quite a few and chose Harvard Square because she wanted a big 1 bedroom and it had a nook so she could take more of her furniture so she did not feel like she was downsizing too much. She loves the food, they are chef prepared and they have menu to choose from. The value for the money is great and I like the overall complex because it is not too big. They offer just enough for what she was looking for and we would recommend to others looking.

Our family had an in person tour and location wise it is very close to home which we really liked, and they could of given our loved one adequate assistance and care but the cost was going to be extremely expensive.

I have lived at Avamere for around 2 years. I really am impressed by the new director, [name removed]. They have had a hard time hiring staff, but are in the process of getting more staff on-board. I find the caregiver and wait staff in the dining area work very hard and are very responsive.

We chose this facility because of the location as well as the smaller size. They do have a lot of turnover in administrative staff, but I have had good response time from the new management. I do see residents participating in activities when I go to visit. Personnel seem to be caring and compassionate about what they do. Overall I have been satisfied with our experience so far and would recommend.

Servers are helpful courteous and I'm glad they clean weekly again. Food is better, Leadership is good. People who are in change are very helpful & caring. Good place to be.

The housekeepers don't have enough time to do a thorough job like cleaning the windows and blinds, sweeping the porches, cleaning the refrigerators etc. But they try really hard. The food has improved at 100% since our new chef took over. Thank you, the landscaping is just barely mediocre, lawns not trimmed regularly, bushes and shrubs not trimmed. And we walk everyday.

Our Servers are great. Food is mostly good, sometimes its to much paste which makes people fat!. We have fun, the staff is great. What is missing is security at night. The doors from the outside are locked, but there is no security on the outside. All things considered its pretty good.

The facility was too expensive and we did not think that our loved one would fit in well here. The courtyard for memory care residents was small.

I would recommend this community to others for their loved ones. The stay has been good for my loved one as well. The staff are friendly and caring towards to the residents. The location is good for family visits.

They have really nice people here. It is not as organized as I would like it sometimes however they are nice and thoughtful. The staff are very good people and care about the residents.

Getting better with time/ I have to stay at the begging of covid, we had no heat or lights for what seemed forever. The staff have never missed delivering at meal, they were real troopers
