Staff, residents, everyone, so friendly, nice, generous, and welcoming! It's almost like another family!

Since the day my mom moved into Cogir of Sonoma we have been feeling blessed for her choice. The people, the activities, the meals, her apartment and the environment are all to her liking which help to make her feel good about her final years.

I have lived here many years in the assisted living apartments. Love working with the young care givers. They are all so nice. I also like interacting with all the other residents. I took on the roll of "paperboy" delivering all the newspapers. A great way to meet all the residents.

Very friendly place to live. Apartments are well appointed - solid surface counter tops, full-size stove, microwave, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Refrigerator is apartment sized. The building is a locked and secure building.

My sister likes it very much, but they will apparently promise you just about anything to get you to sign the contract and move in. Once you move in they don't follow through on things. The person that was there when my sister moved in made a number of promises that turned out be untrue. Even though the sales person at that time has since left, the director has still not followed through on those promises either. That's why I have an issue with the value for the cost, as that's a really big deal...even though my sister does like it.

The staff members are super friendly, and when we were first looking into it and when our loved ones moved in we were living out of state so they were super helpful setting up zoom sessions for us. With covid the meals and dining service and even the activities can be a hit or miss. It seems like when the dining hall is open the meals are good and when its shut down they aren't the best. Based on our family's experience so far we would recommend this community to other families.

We chose The Terrace at Beverly Lake because of the location- it is close to our family. Also they got really good reviews as well. I had friends and clients who have had their loved ones there as well and they have had good experiences. We liked that they have a 2 year spend down for Medicaid. Overall it has been a positive experience.

I visited Cadence Millbrae and the tour was great - they have an awesome facility that's very beautiful. I told them what my budget was when I visited, and they let me know that they were building a new memory care facility adjacent to the current community. They didn't have any availability when I toured, but said they would when the new building opened in November. They gave me a call when it opened, and I asked them to run their rates back to me. They then informed me that the new building would be several thousand more per month. I was not interested in paying for their new building. I talked to my Senior Living Advisor from A Place for Mom and let him know that this was a bait and switch situation; that was an immediate turn-off. I also went in with a list of about 10 questions; some of them they couldn't answer, which made me a little nervous. If their experiences haven't allowed them to answer my questions, why am I looking at that community?

The Cadence at Garner is a very clean community and we really like that there are some independent residents living there. The location works really well for us, we are super close by and it is a pet friendly community. Based on our overall experience we would recommend this community to other families.

The Avamere at Port Townsend appears to be very clean when w come to visit. Our loved one enjoys eating the meals there - now they are institutional meals but so far no real complaints. They do have plenty of activities to offer and we would recommend the community to other families. No complaints with the overall value either.

Good community. It was too far for family and friends to visit.

With our loved one being on the memory care side our loved one is not in the mental state where he is going to be participating in a lot of activities - this community does not really have extra curricular activities that some of the larger places have. However on the independent living and assisted living side they take the residents on excursions quite regularly. The staff here are super friendly even with the staffing struggles. They have been very accommodating, very cooperative with our schedules so we are very pleased.

Cogir of Glenwood Place is a good community. It's important to find the right fit for the right personality of your loved one. Here, the residents are friendly, and the staff is friendly and try their best. They're currently undergoing a transition to new ownership, so there are some challenges, which is to be expected with any transition.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Pets are welcome. I would tell anyone moving a loved one anywhere that not only is the move a challenge, but getting oriented in a new place is also difficult. Cognitively it took a toll on my loved one that I wasn't prepared for.

We had a really good tour experience with Bay Pointe. The facility and staff were all really nice but the building itself was older and not as open or updated as some of the other places we were looking at.

The only reason I moved down to the first floor was because the apartment I had on the 3rd floor - the carpet was not clean. The apartment that I have on the first floor is much better now. The maintenance guy [name removed] has been great. Overall I have had a great experience at Holiday Vineyard Place.

My mom is happy, but has become very dissatisfied with food and food service. Staffing issues and quality seems to be upsetting many residents.

Cogir of Rohnert Park was our second choice. I really liked the director of the facility. The atmosphere is less modern and more of a homey environment.
