Cogir Senior Living

We love the place and the caregivers but I have to seek out communication and my mother has been skipped or forgotten for transports and is not regularly taken out for smoke breaks. I would recommend. I would encourage family to visit regularly and ask questions. This is a big emotional and financial decision. The staff really are good. Some down sides include: the place is larger and can be a little confusing for a person with dementia, not quite ready for memory care. One month later my mom is doing well, has gained some weight, hasn't engaged in many activities yet though. Staff are responsive but mistakes do happen.

Bad: smell of urine down one corridor Y’all are ripping up carpet and putting down laminate so smell shouldn’t’ be a problem in future. Next, found one shower very dirty on end of shower door with hair stuck in in it, gross. Did not have chance to eat so no idea about that. Good: woman who showed us around. She was great. The apartments were nice as well- we got to see two of the 1 bed and 1 studio. We’d go for 1 bedroom. The occupational therapist was very nice and told us about things she/they can help with. We didn’t get to talk with other residents, unfortunately.

There were issues getting all the paperwork done at the beginning. I was notified at 6:00 PM that there was an issue with the medical paperwork the day before she was scheduled to stay that would stop them from being able to take her. This was very stressful as we had uncancelable airline tickets. We got it handled and all ended up being verygood. Her room was a good size for a temporary stay, the whole place was spotless. I had a cookie that was very good, my Mother in Law did not complain about the food so that was remarkable. The activities calendar was posted and seemed full, my Mother in Law said she did not participate because no one told her about them, but later said she went to a "Prom" dance activity. I told her about the activities before I left, I'm not sure what happened and cannot comment on her experience.

My loved one is independent. The staff are very friendly & always helpful & available. Activities - there are monthly calendars provided with daily events. Food - unfortunately in the past year 3 different chiefs, but the current one seams to have a handle on things. She mainly prefers to cook her on meals because of IBS. Apartment - she loves the size, there is a weekly house keeper for each apartment. Overall the facility is keep very clean. Finally she really likes her location because she's able to have her 55 lbs dog with her. So, no weight restrictions is why we chose Cogir of Broomfield. We only wish the meal plan could be a la cart to reduce costs.

I am very happy with where he is. He is adjusting very well.. and staff is very helpful and always present. The memory care staff are good at their jobs. The unit Is keep very clean and is well lit and well decorated with lots of activities.

Facility food and people good. Communication could be better sometimes. I would recommend Cogir of Kent to others.

Impressed with the property and the tour guide was knowledgeable. The location is good being near the mall.

Initially there was confusion with meds and transportation, but that quickly was sorted out. The place is clean, lots of activities for a variety of people. The staff is super nice!! Our family, including our loved one, likes that it is a small facility. The staff knows everybody and treat the residents with care and kindness.

The the staff were great, room clean, apartment size good; not many activities for her age.

First of all, Cogir Alexandria Filmore is beautiful facility. It’s probably fairly or atleast very well maintained. Unfortunately, I forgot to put oon my hearing aids, but luckily my tour guide spoke clearly. I toured from an Independent point of view, and at the end I was put off at first by costs. Then I looked at the assisted living document and saw what thought was a doable price. So i decided to remain independent in my current apartment until I needed assisted living.

Shuttle is not reliable. Runs very infrequently. The meals have been inconsistent at times.

I would give it a 4. The care and staff are wonderful. I wish they did more activities with the residents, that's the only reason I didn't give a 5. I would recommend

Overall, the facility is a nice place for my mother. She enjoys the residents, the atmosphere and the staff

Since I have lived here for 9 months things have been outstanding for me. I would recommend it for an individual who is semi mobile and can mentally live independent. The housekeepers, food service workers, front desk workers. The main management has experienced a change at the high end and it is to provide an opinion.

The size of the apartment is good - feels comfortable. So nice to have the washer-dryer in it's closet. So convenient. Food is generally good except for some of the soups. Quiet which I appreciate a lot.

My sister loves it. Food is okay . Sometimes it's cold, when serving hot entrees. Not making sure condiments are provided. Something else about the food. This is the only problem she's having - you get a menu with options and a lot of times, options are not available. So why would you give someone options when they don't have any? The staff is good. Ambiance is real nice- very clean. Her apartment is good size.

I toured with my dad and we both appreciated the residents when we walked in the door. We sat down and had a good conversation followed by a tour of the property. Loved the location, layout, and lunch was very good. Wish there was an option for laundry in unit, but not a deal breaker.

We had a very pleasant tour of Cogir at The Quarry. Of the eight properties I've toured, The Quarry offered the most amenities and options for my parents, including some they are unlikely to use. However, it all comes at a higher price. Since my father has mobility issues, I'm also concerned it might actually be too large. For us, this may be an example of too much of a good thing. We would need to come back with my parents for their opinion, after experiencing a meal or activity to fairly assess. Given the distance from my home, The Quarry is not on my short list to revisit at this time. Please note we did not meet with any staff other than the community relations director.
