Cogir Senior Living

Staff was very friendly and professional, the place was kept very clean, it was very nice. The only thing was the food was very very boring and I found an apartment for half the price. I am still very capable of taking care of myself and not ready for that type of a community at this point in my life.

I was promptly greeted upon entering. The person who was giving me the tour came out quickly and we went in and talked about the location and some of the reasons why I was there. After that, we did a nice tour of the facility. We then went back into the office and went over the costs and some of the factors that affect the costs. Overall, my visit went well.

Nice facility, dad's room was very nice but he hated the food. I would recommend. But the food really does need improvement.

I came in shortly after my husband passed away approximately four years ago I have lived in Madera several years. I still own my house so my children can come there and be in their home. I can then come & go from Cedar Creek to my house and be in my own environment while they’re in town. I find Cedar Creek comfortable nicely run, giving us enormous opportunities to advance our own personal needs transportations available. Employees are quite friendly, social receptive and available. I find no other place I would rather be. My family lives far away, There’s no one here for me to go home too. We do our family gatherings on Zoom in my room. I have a lovely apartment warm & pleasant. I have a certain amount of freedom. My meds are always available as needed, and I am on a relatively relaxed visual. I’m able to do what I want to do within reality, of course at my age therefore I find I would have no reason to want to move.

The staff turnover after merger impacted some of these scores. However, what we like the most about the community is that it is one of the most beautiful buildings and surroundings we've seen - incredibly quiet. Very high end furnishings - like a luxury resort

The food could use some improvement, staff is friendly, price increases yearly are pretty steep and don't feel they are worth it for what is received. The facility could use updating, facility is surface clean but could use a deep clean. Apartment sizes are good but need updated.

The residents are all so friendly and just like one big family. Everyone knows everyone and interacts. The staff is right there for anything. Always helpful and supportive informative. The food is very good but the best part is the variety they offer. You can choose the feature meal, the residents favorite meal or a light fare each evening. The room size is perfect. However we did pick the larger one bedroom. Having pets is a blessing as you age. All the on sight businesses are convenient and so helpful. When something breaks in an apartment it is fixed quickly. The added offerings, cable, activities, food, are convenient and wonderful.

They have friendly staff, plenty of activities, good dining menu and service. The rooms are nice and spacious. I would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable independent living experience.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Residents are pretty social in a good way. My mom is very comfortable at Cogir.

I've only been here 2 months. I have had some truly wonderful experiences and some frightening experiences. Overall, positive. I like that there are such interesting people, very supportive staff who are wanting each of us to be happy.

I've lived here for 3 years. I really do like it here, most of all the residents. It's a class act place. I try to greet people who are new, make an effort to know their names. There is a true uplifting sense here, a spirit of health and happiness.

Staff is very helpful and very kind. I've lived here 1 year. Food is good. I appreciate the commitment to improvement and am happy here. Weekly happy hour and singing with residents is one of my favorite activities.

Surroundings are very nice, many activities, food is generally good, maintenance is prompt, nice people and staff. I would recommend to others.

He spends a lot of time in his room and seldom gets involved in activities. He played bingo but did not understand to save the "fake $$" for things. He saw it was fake and threw it away. He is only in assisted living and does not remember from one meal to the next that he should go to the cafeteria. In fact, I now call him 3x per day. There should be a method for him to be reminded The suite is very nice. [name removed] was very helpful in getting things arranged, but I didn't know he was going to Cogir until it was a done deal. Not really happy with that.

What we like the most about the community is the residents!! Awesome!! Yes, we would recommend Solista Colorado Springs by Cogir to other families based on the experience so far.

The facility was very nice, almost new in appearance. The lunch was well prepared and portions were fine. The staff was friendly and seemed very competent. But I am not mentally prepared to give up my independent lifestyle yet. I felt a little depressed by the prospect.

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The casita was very clean at move in and is very spacious. The new director [name removed] is amazing and has made awesome changes for the better. He is so patient with my Aunt who has dementia. The staff is very caring and supportive.

The staff at Cogir are very friendly and helpful to residents. The upper management staff has a high turnover, with the current director being the third one in the last year or so. The rent raises of 8-9% seems very high. We were told at move in that the typical yearly raise is 4-5%. They have cut staff and have no driver currently so the rent raise seems unjustified. The cleaning is OK but I have had to re-clean the shower and floor. The kitchen staff and chef are very good and try their best despite cut backs in staff.

Room size is good. Caregivers are attentive and caring. Food is good and 3 meals a day are served. Management is professional.
