We have had a horrible experience. They do not offer the care that they tell you they do. They are rude. My loved one is not even coming close to getting the care that she should be getting at an assisted living facility. They have forgotten her for meals. They have forgotten meds. They have told her that they won't come in and shower her because she doesn't keep her room cool enough for them. Their response time to call buttons is unbelievably slow. They are just awful, and I can't get her out of there quick enough.

We had a very bad experience with The Hamptons at Pineforest. My loved one was given a bath twice in 3 weeks. They lied and falsely wrote down that they had bathed her more often, but we knew because we had a camera in the room. She was a fall risk and was left unattended and had to go to the hospital twice in 3 weeks to get stitches. I would never recommend the facility to others.

I would not put a dog in this community, the staff are not trained in memory loss and one of the residents was actually abusing to our loved one. Nothing was ever done about that abusive residents and we could not wait to get our loved one moved out. We would never recommend this community to anyone, we were disgusted on how the community was ran.

When we moved in, the apartment was supposed to have been cleaned. There were stains all over the carpet, and it smelled. During Covid I understand there's added stress, but we expected more. The living space is so small, barely room for basic furniture. Right now they're bringing 3 meals a day in clamshell containers, and there's only a smaller size trash can in the room. Two of those clamshells filled it up, and housekeeping would often leave 2-3 days worth of trash in the kitchen. We told them about ants in the shower, and it was a few days before it was addressed. The toilet wouldn't flush on numerous occasions. One time the response was "Well, I'll try to see if I can find you someone." Not "I'll get someone for you." Or "I'm busy right now, I'll make sure someone comes by." Hours later it still hadn't been plunged, and our loved one couldn't go to the restroom. On another occasion, they were out of toilet paper for a full day. On our first day, an employee saw us arrive and stood there for 30 minutes talking to the driver of a florist's van, and didn't acknowledge us until we said "Excuse me, can we get some help here?" Visitors are not allowed in the building due to Covid, and there was one instance where the staff snuck an unauthorized visitor out the porch of our loved one's room so they wouldn't get caught going out the front! No one ever showed our loved one how to use the microwave, even after we asked repeatedly. They were wonderful trying to get us to move in, but once we got there, that all went away. There was only one staff member that would actually follow through and get things done. We had to give 30 days notice or we would have pulled out after the first day. What could have been such a blessing to our loved one, and to us too, was an utter disaster.

Please do not even consider West Fork as an Assisted Living for your loved one. Yes, the facility is beautiful, but what goes on behind closed doors especially now that family can not enter the building is an injustice to our precious elderly. My Mother moved into West Fork in January 2020, a healthy, happy, active 94 year old. We always went to visit my Mother often and then we had the lockdown NO VISITORS due to COVID. This is when our family suffered the most devastating loss of our precious Mom. After registering my complaint to the Cooperate Office of the neglect that my Mother suffered, the Company did nothing. They found no fault in my complaint of the neglect. I know this is very hard to take in but it is true. Is is very frightening to know that we have such companies to allow such horrible things to happen to our helpless elderly. Since COVID lockdown 4 residents have died, one of those being my precious Mom. This is my experience with this company that I felt very important to get out there in hopes to protect your loved one from any potential harm. I have turned all responsible parties into the State of Texas appropriate sources and my prayer is the State of Texas along with families help, we can protect the residents that are still in lockdown at this facility without them being neglected leading to serious consequences.

Do not believe one word this company says. They do not deliver on what they are selling. This is a true story that will tell you all you need to know about their culture. They claim fine dining with many chef prepared items that a resident can order from the menu at anytime.(There isn't a chef!) Before the lockdown and I do mean lockdown, a prison is a better description, I stopped by to visit a relative during the breakfast hour. All they had to eat was French Toast. That was it. Nothing else, didn't even have any syrup. I offered to run the the store and pick up eggs, bacon, sausage, anything they needed. I was told no thank you, please sit down! THEY WILL EAT WHAT WE HAVE. That is management's philosophy and it is deep rooted. This is just one incident. I am writing a book on the ineptness, lies , cover up, and discrimination of West Fork Assisted Living a Civitas Corporation. Enter at your on risk!!

This establishment is lacking in all aspects of healthy living for aging adults. They do not care if the resident is diabetic or hypertensive as their food is so salty at times cannot be eaten and diabetics get exactly what everyone else gets including desert. They do not treat residents fairly. Some get to do things others do not. family members of the residents are treated with complete disrespect and will not listen when complaints of the employees come in. They do not feel that foot care for a diabetic is essential medical care and the resident should not have their nails cut for months at a time. Do not come here.

I would highly recommend not putting a loved one in this place, or any facility owned by Civitas Senior Living. I put my parents, both with Alzheimer's disease in respite care here for 3 weeks while my nuclear family took a much needed break from caregiving. The care was awful! My mom was filthy upon pick up, as was their room. I spoke with the staff there and no one appeared to know what was going on. I'm sorry is basically what I got. I contacted the company that owns them to complain and after several conversations I still did not get answers. Lots of cover up, lies (ex - my mom hasn't dressed herself or done any self care in years, but apparently a miracle happened there and she was totally independent). Meds were totally messed up for both of my parents. I asked what was being done to fix the obvious problems with staff, care and communication. The Executive VP of Operations told me all they can do is make sure these things don't happen again, and that the employee responsible for dropping a major ball on their care plan had been crying during their meeting that morning. As if I care! Sorry but am I suppose to care that she's upset because she messed up my parent's care plan?! Total incompetence. I assured him there were many more tears cried at my house over this. Just for the record, the first VP I talked with did not answer one of my questions. She just wasted my time explaining to me things I was already fully aware of. I could barely get a word in! Stay away from this place!!!!!!

My relatives unfortunately moved here and after only three months wish they had not. This was a newly built place, and it looks so pretty, but it's plagued with problems, as we unfortunately found out too late. I'm writing this because management makes it unpleasant for residents who complain too much, and my relatives' voices must be heard anyway. I rely on reviews so much, and I like to help others get good value and avoid trouble. This beautiful building was just not built right. It flooded, plumbing was done wrong, so parts have no cold water, showers run over, toilets overflow, lightning strikes frequently, causing appliances to burn out, and elevators go out for weeks. Big issues are being handled very slowly or not at all. Management is the worst. They don't take responsibility, and if you contact corporate they just sound nice and don't do anything. The food is just okay. It's expensive too. I notice corporate posts a generic answer, but when we contact corporate it does no good. It's too bad. Seniors deserve better.

The cleanliness and care in assisted living has drastically declined since Civitas took over. Executive Director is not qualified to oversee this type of facility. Very high turn over in staff and medications not administered properly. Complaints and concerns ignored. I moved my mother to another facility.

After reading the previous reviews I can no longer hold my opinion. The Hamptons has went downhill since it changed ownership in March of 2017. They also hired a new executive director around June or July of 2018 and that was the biggest mistake they could have made. The previous director was a charm. He cared about the residents, family members and staff. He worked on the floor, took call, came in on his off days and was always willing to go the extra mile in any situation. But the new director is awful. She has no concern or compassion for residents, staff or family members. She lets the staff work short instead of jumping in and helping out. They have had so much turnover in staff since she and civitas have came on board. They had people that had been there since 2008 before the building opened and they have all left since civitas and new executive director came aboard. They made no effort to keep these jewels on board. My family member was in memory care for a long period of time and we moved her out to another facility because of this. The only employee that knew anything about memory care and that showed love and compassion to residents, staff and family members is no longer there. She went above and beyond in her job and I can truly say she could have ran the building. She was a great leader. To my knowledge she put in a notice and they did not even try and keep her. Civitas until your company realizes who and what is the real problem in your facility you will continue to have turnover and residents moving out. Go back and take a look at some of your previous employees and see what an asset they were. It is so sad that what was once a great company is not crumbled down to the dirt.

I can honestly say the Hamptons used to be a great place. That is until Civitas Senior Living took over and hired the executive director [name removed] . She does not care about the residents or the employees. I have never seen such leadership in which the boss sits in the office and has no desire to interact with her staff, residents or family members. They are short staffed not just in memory care but assisted also. For example there was no med aide in memory care this past Saturday for at least 5 hours. So my question is did the residents receive their meds? When I have a concern I am always thrown off to the nurse.

My mother was in memory care about six weeks moving from the assisted living. She was moved to get more supervision as she was falling regularly. She fell more in memory care than in assisted living. Memory care is seriously short staffed. There is no one in charge of it except the executive director. When I moved my mother the medication list did not match the medications I was given. My mother had a reaction to medication and either I had to stay and calm her down until after midnight or she would have been taken to a behavioral health hospital. She has dementia and not mental health issues. I cannot recommend this facility.

It took awhile before escalating my complaints, but as a nurse with a great deal of experience in community health, and the assisted living environment, I would say beware if you are placing a loved one who is anything less than independent. They do not provide adequate staffing to meet the needs of assisted members, and have had constant turnover of staff since they opened, including several nurses in the first year. The facility is beautiful and the social director is great with robust social activities, lots of photo ops and crafts for those who are independent. But if your loved one is anything less than independent - BUYER BEWARE. There is no staff oversight. Frequent med errors, 'missing' meds, poor night time response to call lights and they cannot keep aides. NO supervision, housekeeping or ability to locate staff on weekends. It is a beautiful facility but if you are not able to clean up your own room, need med assistance or help to toilet, this is NOT your place.

This nursing care facility needs to desperately screen their employees thoroughly! That includes management as well. Caregivers are seen high and unable to care for residents. Night crew have been caught sleeping and not giving residents medicine on time or at all. Doors to facility left unlocked and unattended late at night and strangers caught walking the halls or combing through front desk. Such a beautiful establishment but the lack of proper screening of individuals to fill the role as loving caregivers is absolutely disgraceful!! We were able to move our loved one into another facility where we finally feel they are safe and cared for. My heart aches for the residents at Midtowne!

My loved one moved to Oyster Creek over 2 years ago. Everything was very good until about 8 months or so ago. I believe it was sold. The food went from good to barely edible. The food choices from many to very few. Every day they ran out of items on the menu and often I doubt they were even made. The meat (even chicken) is tough and hard to chew. If I were in a restaurant I would send it back - and I never do that even when it's not the greatest. The staff has always been wonderful and caring. They still are but they have cut back on kitchen help and caregivers are not forced to help serve food so people are not getting proper care. There is not enough help in the dining room at all and many people get tired of waiting and leave. It's deplorable. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. It is deplorable.
