They were very short staffed to the point it was difficult for her to get meals. There were some occasions she didn't get a meal. She did really like the hairdresser

WestFork does not do what they tell you. The food is a disaster. Often they do not have what is on the menu. The menu sounds amazing but poorly prepared. Many times a piece of pie is one inch wide. I moved out when my husband had to be in skilled nursing facility next door to WestFork. The food at Hilltop Park is better than WestFork. I am In contact with friends at WestFork they stay because lack of another place. Many have expressed their concerns to no avail. Many of great caregivers have left. The building is beautiful. It would take hiring better cooks and treating the residents fairly with their food. The turnover in caregivers must be taken care of. Then WestFork could be as advertised.

The West Fork at Weatherford is good place to live. They keep it clean. The staff is very nice. They do pretty good in care. The food will get a 0. It is dry, overcooked, and cold most of the time. [name removed] does a great job with activities. It is probably good to a single person. I am not sure for a couple.

There have been many months we've been relatively happy with some issues here & there yet lately, the best caregivers are quitting because management issues & how employees are treated. Major nepotism going on forcing some great employees out so that family can be hired (in some cases just out of high school & dispensing meds!) Med errors caught often. I do not recall mend this place unless there's a major management over haul. When responsible caring people are on duty I'd give a 4 rating however those days are less & less with the constant rotation of people leaving. I had a good dozen I really appreciated & knew all was well if they were on duty.... most gone now. The place is a disaster lately- do not recommend. Unless family can check on their loved one daily in person, this is not the place for you.

When we first moved there it was great. Then there was a management change. The head nurse was put in charge of the facility. Unfortunately she wasn't trained for that and her staff took advantage of the situation. One of the employees told me that when it was time to put my mom in memory care, to not have her there. I moved my Mom in February to [removed].

The girls are always friendly, but we have had to call so many times about getting someone to clean, change sheets, bring medications on time, about food being too spicy or dry or taking awhile to get served. It is better than it used to be but it has been a struggle. I have gotten locked in twice at the facility after hours with no one at the desk or front office to unlock doors to get out. Six of us got locked in two days ago and we had to look all over to get someone to let us out. I guess it is hard to keep workers but for the money we pay, it should be better . I do appreciate the girls being kind to my parents. That is important.

The first year the overall rating would be a 4 or 4.5. Unfortunately, since about a year ago, there have been a number of maintenance and staffing issues and food service has had 4 or 5 different chefs and inferior food and food service. We hope for improvement. Anyone asking, I would caution them about food service issues and quality and speak highly of the caring community and kind staff.

I would make sure to tell others looking that there are no nurses on site at Cambridge Court - only on call from corporate office. Also, coordination with long term care company not the best.

No place is perfect, they have A LOT of staff turnover and the food is really spicy for older people. However, based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community for the most part to other families, overall it is fine. They did go up [fee removed] a month after the first year...ouch

This place is a good place for healthy, active seniors but not for those who are ill. If I had known what I know now, my mother would not have been placed at Stone Creek at Flying Horse. I remember my mother telling me that a staff member, told her that she was the worst resident there. I feel tremendous guilt for placing her in that place. My mother was bedridden and could not join other residents in the dining hall; as such, her meals were delivered to her. On at least one or two occasions if not more, her overhead lights were not turned on and when she made an inquiry, she was advised that she could eat in the dark. Then she was told to just go back to sleep. I (her daughter) visited my mother nearly every day (sometimes 2x a day) and noticed that at times, her bedding hadn't been changed. From time to time, she'd be wearing the same clothes from the day before. Her laundry also wasn't done consistently each week. At times I ended up changing her bedding, changing her clothes and taking her laundry to my home to wash.

Initial presentation sounds great, after a year when lease is ready for renewal BEWARE! Average was 8 percent .We left because of that and the food

There is definitely a lack of fruits and vegetables, however the Arabella of Longview Senior Living community is actively trying to improve. .

My father passed away in January. The only things I would say are it's a beautiful place with a lot of turnover. The dining situation was hit and miss- sometimes good and sometimes horrible from the quality of the food to the time it took to get it. They are out to make money first and often that is what was shown.

Wife decribed facility as clean; food good; people nice. From my perspective, DC served it purpose, i.e., a bridge between rehab and home. Staff were firm but gentle with the residents. Biggest down side was speech therapy was promised but not delievered. Found my own. Could use more and upgraded daily activities for the folks. Too much time in mornings and afternoons setting with little or nothing to do. Overall, probably a 3.5 experience.

I would not recommend that place. My experience hadn't been good. When there's an issue it's hard to resolve or doesn't get resolved at all.

Unfortunately every community I've experienced is lacking in their ability to treat residents as people who have feelings, opinions, desires and passion. I feel like residents are seen as elderly, frail,near death and their uniqueness is ignored. Staff is there to do a job; serve food, deliver meds. I picked Double Creek because I liked [name removed] (ED)and thought she would be responsive to needs or issues as they came up.

The facility is beautiful and the premises are kept very clean. This creates a good impression for the Observer. However, our personal experience has been very disappointing, and at times exasperating. The response time to help calls from the help pendant is sometimes very long. We do not expect an immediate response, however we do expect for someone to show up and help within a reasonable amount of time, say 20 to 30 minutes. My loved one's room is a total mess, with things scattered and a large pile of laundry, including bed sheets/towels/blankets/and all kinds of clothes in the bathroom area. The workers manage to make a mess on a daily basis. Myself or another family member cleans our loved one's room often, multiple times per week. We even wipe the floors clean, which at times are filthy. I visit often and I do not understand the constant mess. Overall, the staff is friendly and engaging. However, they are understaffed. I believe that if more staff were to be hired, and a supervisor oversees what is going on, things would improve tremendously. The Executive Director and her front staff are incredibly helpful. However, the caregivers have to be accountable so that the residents can get the help that they need.

Ariel Pointe of Sachse is a good fit for my parents. The building itself is light and airy, my parents like sitting by the pool. They haven't met many of the other residents but that might come with time. Their biggest complains are the food and the cleaning service...

Based on our experience with Double Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care, the staff members are very nice and the meals that are prepared for the residents are fine. However they could hire some more staff.

Very clean and orderly. Friendly, but there is no acknowledgement when entering facility. I get more responses from residents. Good quality of care when there is someone who responds. Need incentives to get more staff on board. Not great food and there is more than chaos in preparing food with choices and how good taste vary. More activities and outings. Not certain yet. for the value for cost. Mother is usually waiting for staff to assist because of understaffed personnel.
