The staff are all very friendly here! Although my loved one does not participate in the activities, I see them happening regularly and other residents are engaged. I've heard feedback from my loved one that the care services could be improved. However, as far as price is concerned, they were comparable to the others and right there with them. We chose them because, when we were visiting, our loved one met with the staff, had lunch, and decided this was the one!

Absolutely beautiful there, but they were very, very pricey. Aside from that, the only reason we didn't move him here was because of the transportation issue. My dad is in dialysis. They say that they provide transportation to doctors appointments, but that is limited. Their van was not available every day and the guy left at 4:30 and my dad didn't go to dialysis until 3. In terms of food, they had a chef cook and they were pretty flexible on the food.

Everything that we have seen so far looks really great. They are friendly and helpful. They seem to be taking good care of our loved one. So far we have been very pleased with everything they are doing.

I and my sister/husband visited on two different visits, both were impressed. Is in the top two for choices. Staff gave the tour to both of us.

toured yesterday, the facility is beautiful and staff very friendly! i like the home feeling and the director is very helpful.

The staff does little, to get the residents engaged. Everyone is really nice , and there is good interaction between the residents and staff. It is a clean community, and the care team takes good care of my loved one. There have been changes in staff, so there has been a lot of inconsistencies with staffing. Overall, they could do better with following through with issues.

The only real complaint we have had is we were told if we gave 48 hours notice they would have someone to take her to her doctors appointments. We were then told it only runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays when trying to schedule a ride on a Friday. I do think they could be more detailed with that information up front when residents first move in. It is still pretty early in our expeinrece but my mom does seem to be happy here so far.

We chose The Avenues of Fort Bend because it was a very nice looking facility for the price and the services provided. It is also convenient to where my sister lives. I have only seen my moms apartment, but it is perfect size not too big not too small. The best part about the community is that they have had no outbreaks of COVID 19 and have been great with their safety protocols. I would recommend.

Poor communication with family, regarding care and needs. No follow threw.

i have recently take a tour of this community for my mother and I have no complaints about the experience we had received. The staff where all lovely people to work with and where knowledgeable with all the details of the facility. They had a variety of activities for the residents as well as a great menu for all the residents. It was just not the right location in the end decision for my mom.

We toured this community for care.We needed a room that was bigger. The staff was very nice and helpful. We need an Independent living and that was not available at the time needed. They do offer a menu that was appealing. Activities were listed and would have been something that would have been helpful. We would recommend this community to other families for the care and the value

Opinion based upon 6 weeks of observations/experiences with Oyster Creek staff and facilities. Overall, day to day staff interfaces have been very cordial. The facility is well maintained as has been our individual room. The food is good and meals are conveniently made available to meet different needs. Recreational activities are well supervised and appear to be well attended. The overall facility design is excellent and visually appealing with respect to common area furnishings, lighting and outdoor seating options. I have had to "remind" management on several occasions of staff personal service oversights, but these lapses were corrected and have not been ongoing. Residents are cordial to each other and reached out to us upon our arrival to engage with us.

The office staff is very professional and have the clients interest in mind. When I moved my parents in, there were a couple of things that needed to be done in their studio and the facilities people were prompt to fix / complete them. Most of all, the knowledge that my parents are satisfied with where they are, is fulfilling.

The Bluffs are a clean well kept facility and those who are truly independently living seem to enjoy the food and social aspect very much.

There are certain great aspects and certain not great ones. We've had the most issues with medication filling and distribution. Getting it wrong. Waiting too long to have it filled. Inconsistent times of delivery especially in evening. Lots and lots of me having to be involved in that. Some of the staff is amazing and some is not so amazing

Facilities are nice and clean. Staff is underwhelming though. Weekly cleaning don't get done, have had problems with maintenance fixing her toilet, medications have been wrong. Activities often advertised in elevators and around buildings on flyers, but wonder if these even happen.

Scheduled an evaluation with [name removed]and she never showed up. Called her, texted her and finally contacted Harvest about it and we never got a hold of [name removed]. Finally ended up doing a FaceTime call with another person. She was very helpful. Front desk did not know which room was for my mother. I paid an extra day to move in and could not because room had someone else’s furniture.

Staff- They need better communication and a log of who has called, come by, or asked for a particular manager. I've waited for scheduled appointments, gotten callbacks where the person doesn't identify themselves or that they work for The Bluffs, and had directors and assistant directors fail to show up when repeatedly paged. Activities I'm sure are great, but my mom doesn't have the ability to participate in them, so can't really rate them. The dining is good. The food is good and the dining staff are very accommodating. Cleanliness -the place is clean. They stop by rooms daily to do light cleaning, which is great. They pick up and drop off laundry, again very nice because my mom can't do this on her own. Apartment is standard I guess. It's a small studio for NYC prices. My mom doesn't have the means to have more space, so it is what it is.

Do not let anyone do an evaluation of the residents condition, other than their PRIMARY care doctors. And be CONSISTENT with visitations if possible. I just feel that families should be aware to not put all faith In the in-house doctors or advocates to speak on your family members behalf. And there are a few things that can go neglected because family do not stay connected with their loved one or visit often enough to see for themselves how their family member feels.
