The community is clean and nicely decorated. Most of the staff is very accommodating, there are a few people that I am communicating very well. There are a few higher level staff that do not communicate very well. Very sales mentality which does not feel like there is true care.

My parent has lived at Ridglea for under 3 years. The Director works her tail off - but there isn't a good system of follow-through, and lack of checks and balances on the fundamentals of following the care plan. Staff turnover is of course a challenge for all. Food has gone downhill the last 4-6 mos. The common areas quite lovely and rooms are just fine. Have trouble with cleaning rooms consistently and thoroughly. Biggest issue is you cannot reach someone 24/7. If you call in the day, you often don't get someone. If they can upgrade their system of care and alerts and improve communications with families, then it would be great. Lovely elderly living there. Amazing on-site NP to check on residents weekly. Don't seem to proactively notify family if elder stops attending meals, changes in cognition or changes in walking/energy.

My loved one fell numerous times. One incident they were using foul language when caring for my loved one, the meals were very unorganized. The activity director was outstanding! It was very well appointed but my loved one ended up with a severe fall and ended up in the hospital. When my loved one returned my loved one was worse and then died. It's a very nice facility but I was not impressed with the staff except the activity director. Many times family has to help out with meals. I think my loved one would have been better at [removed]. I think that's the name. We had to have hospice come in. I can't really summarize my experience.

We toured Midtowne Assisted Living and the set up would not have been ideal. It was too large of a facility. It was 2 stories and had very long hallways - that would have been too much for my mother. Also the courtyard they have is not enclosed which is something we were looking for. The local marketing person was unavailable on the day we were scheduled. Instead we had the regional marketing person. She was pleasant but not as personable. Just didn't connect as well. Midtowne is a beautiful facility, but wasn't a fit for Mother.

Communication is poor. Being able to visit has become difficult, since it's hard to get in and out. One visitor in the memory care family member has the code and comes/go as he pleases yet the rest of visitors cannot get in/out unless staff lets them in. Not sure what they were thinking not allowing us to come in and out at main door. I understand the memory care door being let in but I have to leave work early to get to see my dad, and staff has to let me out. Sometimes I have to wait on them. Seems unfair! This may be a deal breaker for me. The memory care area is cleanest of facility. But, residents bathrooms are only cleaned weekly and smell so they need cleaning more. In the open area of facility where visitor bathrooms are unclean and some weekends no toilet paper. The floors need a good sweeping/mopping throughout the facility. Techs seem very sweet. My dad doesn't need much care compared to others but seems fine the care he gets. Memory care need to be treated as assisted living. They deserve refills and desserts at mealtime. Not sure any activities do not sure how to score this one. Not sure we get what we pay for. I was out of town and my dad wore the same clothes several days. Normally I come up and make sure he baths, has clean clothes, so this was disappointing. Aledo Harvest has potential but needs to communicate and get things together like staffing, which is a big issue.

I think they do a lot well, but I think they could be doing better for my loves one specifically. Like, our loved one needs extra motivation to be social, but they mostly let our loved stay in their room alone. That kind of thing. The place is very well maintained. They are almost always super friendly and responsive. Not sure if my our loved has seen the in-house doctor or not. Lack of mental health care. The food is good, but sometimes slow due to what appears to be staff shortages and/or training issues. I think they have plenty of activities available. I wish my our loved would participate more. Maybe a handful of them should be incentivized. We are paying a LOT for this place and I just don't think I'm getting the quality of care that I expected for the price. Probably just not enough workers to spend the amount of time I'm looking for. Nothing outright negative going on. The place is really nice, but I feel like my our loved may be growing even more sad and lonely there they already were. I think they do well with what they have. But (I could be wrong) the top 2 people on site, the Director and the Community Services Director have left very recently for other opportunities. It feels like they are really hanging on and shuffling people around, and I worry that if they don't find good replacements quickly, the care level will drop for everyone. I know my our loved can be tough and stubborn, and they are stuck in their ways a bit. I just wish there were people/things there that would entice our loved to be more social. But to answer the question directly, yes. There is room for major improvement there. The property is beautiful, but I think they need more staff to really get the most of it for the residents. Hopefully they are hiring.

Sometimes I feel like my loved one is being treated like the stepdaughter in Cinderella. I brought up some defects in attention to the staff, and it has helped somewhat but not entirely. People with dementia can be at all different levels, and Valley View's memory care groups them all into one. Which just doesn't work.

This may be common to all facilities right now, but it seems like staffing shortage seems to be an issue that is in turn affecting care. The staff is friendly and they do care a lot, they are just limited in what they can do. We were under the impression there would be 2-3 nurses on site and it turns out that no one on staff is an actual nurse. They have to call corporate in order to get a real nurse out there.

According to my mother the food is awful. Also, when she orders room service, they forget her orders, run out of what she orders or delivers them very late. She feels the activities which include music are too short in duration. She also feels the ceilings, floors and walls allow for too much noise to transfer between units. As a whole, the staff has been pleasant and tended to her requests.

Be very specific as to what your expectations are. Be sure to talk through all medications and how that will work. If you're going to use the facility physician, it's a big change from what people are already experiencing with their normal medical care. Just be sure to talk through everything with the staff. Things have been a little rocky lately recent changes in staff. The past staff were great. I can't say yet about the new ones.

I think some of this was due to her attitude. She didn't want to be there. She just wanted to go home and wasn't going to be happy until she got her way. We were paying [amount removed] for the highest level of care but I don't know if they are really set up for the level of care she needed. We now have a live in caregiver and the care she's getting is 100x better than what she received at Alexis Point. Most of the staff did show care and support and I really appreciated that. It's a beautiful clean facility but wasn't what she needed.

We toured several places, but the staff here was great. They had great energy and the facility had a monthly awards program for the staff and other ways to recognize them for their performance. We thought that was a great sign and would help keep quality care high and a positive atmosphere for the staff and ultimately the residents. The staff has been great, but they seem to be understaffed and it's affecting all areas. They've gone through 3 directors since we've had our loved one here. The new director is fantastic and trying to make changes to improve things. But there's just a lot of issues, mainly with cleanliness. We were told that housekeeping is daily, but they come maybe once a week. My loved one's room is always messy. We came to visit one day and saw that they were using the laundry hamper that we provided as a trash can for soiled diapers. Her room smelled so bad, it often does. It smells and isn't being cleaned often or properly. During my loved one's assessment with Double Creek, they suggested assisted living and that surprised us. Said she didn't need memory care at that point. When we went to move her in, they then told us they were going to put her in memory care. We weren't surprised and knew it was probably better. The only problem is, all my research had been done based on assisted living and not memory care. Our loved one had a hard time adjusting. They suggested we not visit the first week to give her time to adjust. When we came to visit, we saw that they'd done nothing to help get her set up. All of her clothes were laying on one side of her bed instead of put away. Other things weren't set up. Initially, they offered us a significant special but said we had to sign then for them to honor it. We did, though we had established and even told them she wouldn't be moving in for a couple more weeks. They ended up not honoring it and saying it was because she didn't move in by the deadline. Definitely felt like a bait and switch, they knew the date she was moving in from the beginning. Again, the staff that they do have is great. I'm just having a hard time understanding why things aren't getting done....lack of staff or maybe just post pandemic challenges. I don't know, but we're hoping things improve soon. At this point, I wouldn't recommend them to friends and family.
They are all very friendly. The staff is responsive. They have had a lot of turnover in staff. They have a new cook, so my loved one seems to like the food. They have a lot of activities but my loved done has not participated yet. It was a smaller community, and they seemed to have everything together.

Some of the staff here are excellent, and some have been not quite as excellent. My loved one has been dissatisfied with the food and meals. There has been a time that my loved one was not served even after other residents that arrived after my loved one was served. The food taste could be improved. My loved one has had sometimes difficulty communicating with the direct caregivers in the community my loved one is working with. The family has had good communication with the staff that we have spoken with; however, we haven't had to speak to the direct caregivers my loved one has spoken with.

We haven't been very happy with StoneCreek of Flying Horse, especially for how much we're paying. The nurses are great, but the administration is absolutely horrible. We've been trying to get a phone set up in my loved ones apartment for MONTHS and they have not made it happen. One excuse after the other but no results. It's a phone - pretty essential!! Also, the cleaning is not up to par, not what they agreed to. We regret choosing that location, but feel like we can't move my loved ones because it would set them back so much. I would not recommend this facility to others based on the cost and the total lack of follow through by the administration

Facility is very well-appointed and as with all new construction there are maintenance issues with some units. The biggest issue is the quality of food. For going on two years, they have under delivered on the "restaurant experience." Breakfast is the best meal depending on who is cooking. Portions are skimpy and inconsistent in both quality and originality. Unit price includes meals with no other meal plan options. They have not. been able to adequately staff their housekeeping and dining room.

The staff does well but understaffed. The staff is excellent, awesome and very caring, although they don't have enough staff. The food is better on the assisted living side. Memory care is not the same food and it's dissapointing. It is expensive. Dont' expect to get all the services becaue they can't deliver, due to being understaffed. It's a great place. Overall, we like it.
