The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly. The food is really good and they have lots of activities for the residence to participate in. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience

The community is a solid place for your loved ones. The activities are geared towards less independent seniors and I would like to see more acitivites for mobile residentce. I would recommend this community to others.

In general, it's a nice place to be. Their turnover seems to be pretty rampant - they've gone through 2 to 3 general maintenance workers. That would be my only thing to keep in mind. They just need to get that settled and get the proper employees in place for residents to get the full benefit. I like their willingness to listen to the tenants. They seem to have fairly regular sessions to hear any resident concerns, which I think is good. They do extra little special things. For instance, for my loved one's birthday, they asked if she wanted a special birthday dinner. They try to do extra touches which is nice. The food has been okay, above average. Under the current Covid circumstances, they walk the food on a cart to each unit. My loved one is in the independent side, which is a system of induvial units that surround the facility. By the time the food gets there, it's pretty cold and needs to be reheated. That's no fault of theirs, I guess. There has also been some cook personnel turnover. But recently within the last week or so, they have a new cook who seems to be pretty darn good. Activities have been less than I would like to see, but again, that is likely due to Covid.

The community is a great place overall. My complaint is lack of communication. It's hard to get in touch with people, and messages do not seem to get to who they need to get to.

Our parents prefer to have their meals delivered to their rooms, but the community has allowed residents to come sit at the dining table for their meals. We would recommend this community to others.

The friendliness of the staff members are great, and they did offer a lot of activities. The rooms are very nice, and we think the food was great, however our loved ones sometimes did not like the food. For his birthday they did ask what he wanted to eat so they can prepare it for him.

I chose Valley View because it was very attractive looking and the staff members were very friendly on my initial visit. They do have various sizes of apartments, but my apartment size is ample. The location here is excellent, it is very close to the veterans hospital. I would definitely recommend to others.

Strange times. I wish I could give a legitimate review but I haven't been able to visit my mother and be in the facility since she moved there. I understand the need for Covid19 protocol but it just makes things tough.

Looks good. My second choice. [name removed] great to work with. Great menu. Activities look good, nice painting studio. It was a close choice. A little more expensive monthly.

They were really great . Generally, both of my parents were there for over three years and happy. Having both assisted living and memory care allowed them to be together for the day every day. The caregivers there were excellent, very very good. The food started out great but it deteriorated over time and became the conversation at each meal. My suggestion is don't put effort into the fancy meals, the residents really want home cooked comfort meals. They made very nice friends and the residents became a very close knit group. It was very close to my house. I really looked at every community in the area and we found this one to be outstanding.

Wonderful place, clean and bright, staff was very friendly.

Very clean; staff really friendly and helpful/ the courtyards were lovely. Lunch was fair, but the chocolate chip cookies were great. The residents we met were very happy and comfortable--several had been there since the first day it opened. One man was very disgruntled and unhappy--he had nothing good to say, but I think he'd have been just as unhappy if he lived in the Taj Mahal!

It was very nice, but the imitation wood flooring was put down with a glue that would not be good for my asthma and didn't like cafeteria style dinning.

Have met most of the staff first hand and and seeing how they treat the other residents. I’m very satisfied that I found the right place for my mom.

I was impressed with eveyone being upbeat & friendly, facility was very clean but the room configurations were not exactly what I expected. I am still learning though. I was disappointed in their response to my rescheduled meeting (at their request) & still not getting to a prospective client for 30 min. I started to leave & was handled off to two other people. I was finally given the tour & questions answered.

A very nice facility. The living quarters are very nice and the staff I met could not have been nicer. It is definitely on my list to consider.

This is our home now, and we are happy to be living here. The management staff, RAs, Med techs do a great job helping me take care of my husband. Everyone is caring and compassionate. We are comfortable and well kept. Grateful to be here!

Short tour was nice. Noticed building was older than I thought,rooms could probably use a makeover. What caught my attention was the fact that they offered extended assisted living, which was somewhat what I was looking for. Not that my friend is ready for extended at this time but glad that it's there. We are trying to avoid a nursing home as much as possible. Any assisted living in other areas of Mesquite? Very nice place always clean. Very friendly personnel. They try to keep everyone active and involved.

We enjoyed the visit at Elk Creek. Liked what we saw for the most part. The residents all seemed happy and involved. The individual private rooms seemed very small however, especially for two occupants. That is really my only concern with this facility. We were offered brochures and activity calendars. Elk Creek is definitely a consideration.
