Everything was fantastic there. The only reason I put a 4 for the food is that I actually never ate there, but I did see the food. It was a total blessing for my mom to be there. They truly care for the residence in the families. [name removed], the lady in charge is fantastic. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families.

This is not a high skilled nursing facility, and the nursing staff are very limited on what they can do. The facility director [name removed] was excellent. She was very professional, courteous, attentive, and overall great to work with.

The Cottages in Fox Lake are outstanding, the people that work there are amazing. The definitely care about patients they take care of. Can't say enough about them.

My dad has lived at 2 other Assisted Livings in town and the care he received was terrible! Wellpoint is a GOD SEND! The staff loves him and spoils him, He is the happiest he has been since my mom died. Move your loved one to Wellpoint. You will have wished you did it sooner!

I would highly recommend Charter Senior Living of Columbia. The transition of my loved one from another state had the expected complications but the staff at Charter went out of their way to make the transition as smooth as could be hoped for. After my friend's admission, the staff showed a flexibility in finding the most appropriate way to deal with his dementia and his bilateral lower extremity paralysis. I have found the nursing staff interested in doing what is best regarding incontinence issues and nutritional support. Happy to support Charter Senior Living of Columbia.

5's all around, their staff would be their biggest asset , both facilities. Yes, we would recommend Charter Senior Living to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The staff is friendly and caring. They've also been responsive when I've had questions about [name removed] care.

I have found that compared to where my mom previously, the management team and staff are a lot more involved and responsive. I have the cell phone numbers of all the people I communicate with on a regular basis and I didn't get this at her previous senior center. As with any place taking care of a loved one, you have to stay involved and let them know that you will be checking in regularly so that your loved one doesn't get lost in the chaos that can come about and there have been a couple of occasions where I have had to make my expectations known. Anything I have requested has been handled immediately and no concern has been treated as less than important. At her previous senior center there was no accountability for my mom's deteriorating health but at Charter, everyone is transparent and highly engaged in her becoming a better version of herself even when that baseline shifts.

The staff are very attentive and genuinely care. It is small enough that every resident gets a high level of care. It is bright and clean and the mood is always positive.

From the moment we walked through the doors at Charter of Hermitage, we knew we found the right place for our loved one. The staff is warm, attentive, and truly treats each resident like family. The leadership team is hands-on and genuinely committed to providing outstanding care and meaningful engagement every single day. The building is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, and the activities offered keep residents active, social, and smiling. Communication with families is excellent, and we’ve always felt informed and supported. It’s clear that Charter of Hermitage is more than just a senior living community—it’s a place where people are respected, valued, and cared for with heart. We are so grateful to have found this home!

We looked at several facilities and this one checked all of the boxes. My aunt is content in her new home.

The facility is very home-like and inviting, much more than others we toured or did a trial run at. The staff is incredible, very responsive and personable!

The staff is exceptional and kind. The dining experience is different than most assisted living facilities. You actually have a choice of what you want to eat. It is like going to a restaurant. They have the regular menu as well as other choices. The workers come out to your table and take your order. I highly recommend Charter Senior living. Everyone that works there knows all the residents by name and the residents play games, they have people come in and play music and sing. I can't say enough about how great Charter is.

That issue for placement was last May. You guys were a lifesaver for me. I filed for a court appointed guardian and conservator which was granted. She ran out of funds for Charter and just recently she moved where Medicare has taken over.

The food gets a lower rating because, at first it was amazing, however, within a month or so, they lost one of their cooks and it never regained its quality. Care a little low because there were a couple of times when meds weren't given at proper time frame and it was difficult finding staff at night time. They only had one staff member on at night. Everyone there seems to care for the residents and I always received follow up on concerns. I believe they have been having trouble keeping decent maintenance staff also.

Calumet Trace is a wonderful place to stay, I live in an apartment, I am free to come and go, but I just happen to know that they have a section more secure for those who need assistance living, and they are immaculately clean everywhere, definitely a good place to stay!

They had OT and PT on site and cone get the resident from room. Can choose to use a Dr. that comes to facility, which is helpful. Lots of activities outside of just day to day, such as Mother's Day and Father's Day cookouts and special meals. Everyone very friendly. [name removed] in the office is extremely helpful. [name removed]in Memory Care is fabulous.

I would tell other families to start the process of looking for care right away. Sometimes there are setbacks, but be consistent about it. Both facilities that we looked at were wonderful, so make sure you don't see just one

My grandmother is really thriving there! The staff really do pay attention and do all they can to help.

The memory unit staff was excellent and attentive to everyone's needs. The variety of meals was very rewarding. Any questions we had for any staff was answered in a timely fashion. The activity in the unit was simple but rewarding to the guests.
