Charter Senior Living

It's hard 2 rate some things given as how my sister can do so little. She can't really participate in activities...altho they have many. I appreciate that when I visit they buzz me in always pretty fast. That's really nice. All the staff speaks to me & answers my questions about hiw she is & what she needs.

When I start visiting communities, I was really overwhelmed but when I met the Springwood Court team. I was happy. They welcomed us. Really great! Very friendly residents and my grandma loved it already.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. Residents are happy and friendly starting to attend. Activities really likes exercise and morning news.

I am sad that my husband passed away 3 weeks after admission but during that time he was in 3 different hospitals and was only at Charter for a total of 5 or 6 days. But that said, they took good care of him and me too. I was very impressed of the care the staff gave to their residents. I must tell you that A Place for Mom is the greatest "invention" ever. I was at a high level of stress and getting connected to Place for Mom was a lifesaver. I spread the word about them all the time. And I (and our kids) loved Charter.

My in laws live at Charter Vikings. It is a great experience for them and us! We highly recommend anyone to check it out!

The staff is very friendly and kind to all that live there (and visit) . My mother has had some issues and always has help with patient and qualified nursing staff. My mother has now been a resident for a year and loves it. She is thriving with activities and has made friends her own age. She feels less isolated. Always someone near. The only draw back is that I live in Alabama and she insisted that she live in Florida. She was born and raised in Florida and has always considered it home. I visited her just last weekend and she is doing very well and happy.

5 on all categories. We couldn't be more pleased! The caregivers are so sweet and considerate, there are a multitude of activities (though my MIL doesn't participate in many yet), & many activities involve families. It feels like a small community.

Overall, I would say five for all categories. We were charged a $4000 "community fee" while mom was being registered. That caught me off guard and I thought that was excessive, however, she was ready to move in and I didn't want to Start over looking for a place for her to live. Room holds twin bed, bedside table, reclining chair, bureau nicely. Staff has always been pleasant, at least while I was there.

The entire staff is very nice and always making sure the residents needs are being addressed. The facility is clean and smells great at lunch and dinner. Charter Senior has daily activities and craft events.

What we like the most about Charter Senior Living is that it is close to family and other friends. The community is also pretty and yes, we would recommend the community to other families.

I’m happy and I enjoy the Friendliness of staffs and my fellow residents. I really enjoy the activities and happy hour. The food is really great specially the fried chicken every Wednesday! Join us! It’s so much fun here!

The staff are very kind and helpful. Their memory care staff treat the patients with kindness and respect.

They are attentive and understanding of my mother's changing needs. Everyone including director, business manager, nurses, caregivers have been open to my questions, comments, and requests. The facility is clean and well maintained. She is well cared for and comfortable.

Everyone there is extremely friendly and helpful. It's a very nice environment but unfortunately my father cannot participate in many of the things Woodholme has to offer.

They care about you and your family member that is going to stay with them and they show it. I asked GOD to guide me in my decision and HE confirmed my choice. When I went to talk to them they were listening to the KLOVE radio station which is a Christian station. And I also asked them if they read the GODwink books and they said yes. So I felt like GOD is with them like HE is me.

What we like the most about Charter Senior Living is the care and respect that was shown to our Dad and our family was wonderful. Dad was only there for 6 days, but we went there daily and the staff always took the time to assist us and all the residents!

Extremely friendly and dedicated staff and a very hands-on leadership team. Lovely facility that doesn't look like a typical assisted living Community.

I would rate all categories as a 5 except for "value for money". I would rate it a 4. It was less expensive than other facilities when I was shopping around. However after the new owners took over, they raised the price by $[fee removed] with no real change in value added. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I feel that my family member is well cared for and he seems content when I visit.

These things stuck out over other places. Location close to us. Quality of the rooms. Prices fluctuate with different levels of care needed. Prices were more affordable compared to other facilities. Nursing staff report being generally happy with their job and with the facility, even though they are understaffed. Responsiveness by a few administrative staff has been inconsistent. They have recently been in a transition phase. Breakfast trays are, on occasion, cold when they should be warmed. We feel that transportation to medical appointments, which is only available 2 days a week, is an issue. Issue. They advertise ease of transporting residents, but we have not found this to not be easy.

5 on all of them except for #6 Food. They need to work on the food. Charter takes good care of their people. My mother in law absolutely loves it there! They don't need to worry about their family member. They take really great care of their people. My mother in law fell yesterday and they called us while getting an ambulance to take her to the ER. Even after the doctors decided to keep her overnight, Charter has been calling to check on her care. She's in great hands. I hope Charter is around when I'm older.
