They had OT and PT on site and cone get the resident from room. Can choose to use a Dr. that comes to facility, which is helpful. Lots of activities outside of just day to day, such as Mother's Day and Father's Day cookouts and special meals. Everyone very friendly. [name removed] in the office is extremely helpful. [name removed]in Memory Care is fabulous.

I would tell other families to start the process of looking for care right away. Sometimes there are setbacks, but be consistent about it. Both facilities that we looked at were wonderful, so make sure you don't see just one

My grandmother is really thriving there! The staff really do pay attention and do all they can to help.

The memory unit staff was excellent and attentive to everyone's needs. The variety of meals was very rewarding. Any questions we had for any staff was answered in a timely fashion. The activity in the unit was simple but rewarding to the guests.

Overall, Charter is far above the adult facilities we saw in NY state. The most obvious difference was the cleanliness. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and generally speaking, I recommend this place anytime I hear somebody needs to place their parents.

The staff was fantastic! As the daughter of a resident, I felt very reassured that my mother was in good hands. Everyone from administration to kitchen staff were kind and patient. My loved one was taken care of and she was happy!

We placed my brother in law in Charter Senior Assisted Living and found the staff very friendly and accommodating. The place felt like home. They have a multitude of activities. Very satisfied with the living quarters as well.

Staff is helpful, and the food is pretty good. They just have a high turnover rate, and response time is a little slow. But my father is basically nonmobile compared to others who are able to take care of themselves. Nothing terrible like the other facilities he's been at.

i am so very happy with this facility. my mom who i reluctantly put here also very happy. the entire staff is always so helpful and smiling. i could not have found a better place for my mom i suggest you take a vivid and see for yourself

Dominion Village of Williamsburg transitioned into a memory care facility as my mom became a resident in 2024. She receives a high level of care, participates in weekly activities, and enjoys the off-site outings. Residents have an individual care plan that addresses their routine needs, and they receive 3 meals a day. The staff coordinates additional care as necessary, including transportation to a local dentist, and bringing in specialists to perform services such as PT/OT and podiatry. Very pleased with Dominion Village of Williamsburg. It’s been a very good place for mom.

Wish we could have stayed at Charter but more assistance was needed! Charter worked very hard to meet [name removed] needs but more was needed.

They are GREAT!! Facility/staff communicate with family. Keep family posted on how their family members is doing. Welcome family members to participate in activities.

For the value for cost, its peace of mind and expensive. However, I would say the community feels friendly, caring and understanding. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far. It's been a great change for my mom and my dad. They are both able to thrive. one daughter's opinion

I wish I had known about it for my parents. It has a feeling of being a 'home' rather than a facility. Individual bedroom with shower/toilet. All ground level . Each cottage has its own kitchen. Center of each cottage has the kitchen, dining area, 'and living room for tv .

Dad has lived in Assisted Living for 2 years now and is having the time of his life.

There are some solid basic care workers that have been there along time. A few staff speak Portuguese ( a local language of this area) all are well trained in calming residents down and redirecting them to a different activity if needed. They keep routine as much as they can because when a resident has dementia routine is calming to them. They are respectful and caring and understand what family is going through. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Staff will direct you to who you need to talk to. Remember to write it down( I often would forget) and there are a lot of people who are doing different things so there are a lot of names to remember and you are stressed and forget names. I have complete faith in the staff at the cottages. They keep my husband clean safe and comfortable. I took care of my 6ft 3 " husband for along time at home. It was becoming more and more difficult and unsafe for both us. We were both frustrated ! I can now visit him, hold his hand watch sports with him, tell him about family.

The staff are kind and the memory care director is wonderful. They are very patient and understanding with the residents and family members. The facility is being renovated and will look great when finished.

My Aunt was in this facility years ago and loved it. They are very friendly and you can go to them anytime night or day if you have questions.
