The people were very helpful, during the short time we were there. There were some things that they weren't able to accommodate for, like rails on the bed. They were good while we were there, and they called us right away when there was a fall. It just wasn't the right place for our needs.

This had the look and feel of a nursing home. We were not looking for that type of environment.

They don't really deal with memory care, she was ok, but the caregivers there were not trained for memory care. They worked with her pretty well. They were mostly clean and friendly. I would use them again, if I had to use rehab again.

Staff is helpful and friendly. Common area bathrooms are not as clean as I would like. Activities are baseline, but my mom seemed to really enjoy the scenic drive through Seymour/Oxford. Some of the food is not the best quality, e.g., tomato rice soup, turkey cheese sandwich. Soup is watery and the sandwich is not substantial enough.

Everyone was very helpful

I thought this was nice, it would have been my first choice if I went the assisted living route. It just seemed bright and clean and just left a good initial first impression.

There are many things that are very nice here. But there are a couple of things that I complained about. When I moved in the shower stall was NOT clean. I complained and the lady (after cleaning it ) said "you mean you want the walls of the shower cleaned too". I know that I moved in on Sept.1 during a major holiday but things did not go smoothly, Starting Tues. things went much better. My apartment is nice, the people here are helpful and cheerful. I think that they could do a better job of cleaning( not only showers) But I do like it here. I had never seen this facility before I moved in. Food is much better than I had before

In my case, I had to make a decision really really quickly and I didn't have a lot of time but they really went out of their way to accomodate me. Once I went to the place it was much more and I winded up paying much more. Their intial response was very pleasant and they made little small gestures and I appreciated that but otherwise they had a lot of extras that I didn't know about that kept driving the price up, but I would say that on the whole they worked hard to accomodate us and I appreciated that. We haven't gotten to the point where I want to be they do try, the people appear to be nice and gentle, and that's what you need, gentle. The day of the move, she didn't act like she wanted to come, so the person who's the director, Michael, he called and said I'll treat her to a hair salon appointment and she let me get her ready and get over there. The key so far is it is more civilized.

Lack of staff. They don't last long. Now no weekly menu. Lunch and dinner meals switched frequently. Trash not picked up daily or every other day. I avoid one person at meals because she can't stop talking gibberish.

The facility was average after visiting several others. It seemed a bit small to me. Greta was a great help with information, but it just doesn't seem to meet our needs.

The smaller size is great for my parents and gives the flexibility that is helping dad that might not get in a larger place. The staff, esp in memory care, has been great with that flexibility. However, there's been some recent turn over in staff, leadership, and vendors that has made the first few months a little rocky. Hopefully that will even out. Also smaller size means less resources and a bit less activities. However, like mentioned, my parents are simple country folk that would most likely be lost in a larger and more "modern" place. Its a good fit for that.

I feel we were oversold on the amount of care available especially since there is no actual nursing staff overnight only patient aids. Most likely no, I would not recommend. Because when my father was taken to the hospital. We were not notified. The only reason we found out was because the hospital called his emergency contact. Which was very concerning.

No wound care from the aides. Had to have home health visit but that only covered 3/wk. The other 4 days nothing was done. Staff shortages constantly, medications not given on a regular schedule (just whenever they get to you), their bus was broke down more than not, general cares were delayed often. Positive - there were a few people there that genuinely cared and liked their job.

I'm actually considering moving her again. We're pretty unhappy with our experience Dirty laundry is often found in the floor in her room, long periods of time with out her being checked for incontinence, medication is not given crushed as needed per doctors orders. She is dressed improperly. She has been to the hospital several times since admission

They were very kind when my mom passed away. I had 2 bad run ins with one crazy resident. The staff could have handled her better.

My dad is not happy with the food. Some of the staff is attentive and some seem disengaged. Overall, a decent place that covers the basics. . It seems a lower level of quality and more "institutional" than the [community removed] facilities but I also think it's less expensive. So you probably get what you pay for

Overall experience I would say a 3 as still neutral as we figure everything out as to what responsibilities are the family and which responsibilities belong to Charter Senior Living. We have had a lot of information given to us over these last couple of months and it takes time to understand everything.

The facility was beautiful and very clean. The staff was friendly. And the food looked and smelled amazing. My dad was only there for 15 days. The Executive Director was amazing! My dad was a eloper and had some behavior issues. When we were touring and also when we were there to sign his lease and arrange for his stay we told them he would be that way. They assured us this was common Alz/Dementia behavior and they dealt with it all the time and not to worry. However, once there apparently he was indeed too much for them. We were being called constantly and in that amount of time he was sent to the ER 2 or 3 times due to falls. Each time we called about it we would speak to a different person and get a different story about what happened and what exactly his injuries were. On the 15th day we were told he needed to be sent to a Psych Care place in Memphis to have his "medicines adjusted" and he most likely would not be welcomed back upon discharge from there.

Overall the place is very clean. My husband's bathroom doesn't get mopped as often as it should. He urinates on the floor a lot. The food is very good. The staff, for the most part, are very nice and respectful to us. There are a few who need more training on how to approach and handle the residents. My husband isn't being checked on through the night like he's supposed to not is he getting the number of showers he's supposed to get. I have been doing some, and that's ok. I believe they are short staffed, especially on weekends. The apartment is adequate for him. He has a studio. It's like a lot of places, staff numbers are inadequate and that is hard to rectify in this business. It takes special people to do that job.

Problems with lack of staff. No notification if scheduled shower or laundry is unavailable. I wait and finally give up.
