Charter Senior Living

This was a really good community and would move my loved one here is she needed a higher level of care. They have a dedicated memory care unit. Their prices for memory care are comparable to other communities that are assisted living. The community is more diverse and is a little bigger then the others.

Everybody is very welcoming. My brother felt comfortable there from the beginning. It's pretty pricey but assisted living anywhere is going to be expensive. The activites are good. He does appreciate those. He likes any of the games like bingo and he likes the movie nights. Anytime someone comes in, like to play the harmonica, it's something different that he's not normally exposed to. My mother-in-law and father-in-law were there about 4 years ago so I had a comfort level going in because I know they were happy there. Now it seems to be even better. There are more activites and the staff is really responsive. It's hard to put your family member in assisted living but if I have to chose one, this is the best. It's a really nice place to be.

My mom has only lived there for a short time but so far we are very happy with our selection. She went from a 2br assisted living to a lg bedroom and bath. Her medication is handed to her twice daily by a nurse. Someone comes in every morning to make her bed (change the bedding if soiled) and do light housekeeping. Once a week it gets thourghly cleaned and her laundry is picked up done and put away. The dining room is a short distance down the hall were she gets three meals daily. There is a list of activity they can get involved in if they choose. Her hairdresser comes every Sat to do her hair. There is a very nice salon available to use. Although its on the 2 nd floor there is a elevator to. The staff is very friendly and been helpful with her getting acclimated. This has taken a huge burden off us because we have been doing all these things daily. We feel she is safe, clean, fed and has everything she needs there.

I love the staff and how they really seem to care about each person in the facility. Food is not always the best my daddy says . They could work on that more but I do feel like it is a great place with caring staff

Overall things were good but the room was dark. That may have been because Sharon didn't want the lights on. Overall things were good.

My mom really enjoys all the activities that the director, [Name Removed], provides. She likes the staff & residents. Enjoys the food, too. They have recently lost their director & one of their nurses. Hope that won't change resident care too much. Only wish we could have talked our mom into assisted living, sooner!

Overall I am very satisfied with Fox Hollow. All staff have been friendly. They know my mom and all the other residents by name. My questions or concerns have been addressed quickly. My mom is very happy - she enjoys the food and enjoys the activities and outings offered. We opted for a room with kitchenette and room is a Great size, though there are options for larger or smaller. She receives meds as she is supposed to and they have helped with daily activities as needed while still promoting her independence. The only downfall is price, it was on the more expensive end of options we considered, and they do not take state Medicaid when that becomes necessary. But I would recommend to others.

I think Charter is a quality place. My father went in with an ability rating 4 out of 5 so he required a lot of attention to get out of bed, restroom etc... They did the best they could but my father was basically room bound and not well enough to participate in any of the facility activities. No fault of the staff, my father was unhappy due to his poor health. Once he incurred an additional health incident in early May that made his health even worse, we chose to bring him home and care for him through hospice. One employee stood out as exceptional. Her name is[name removed]

I say that only because they haven't been shaving him or at least helping him shave. Otherwise I feel he has been well cared for. The staff are very attentive and try to make him feel special. I love that they have a PA that comes in for new resident evaluation and care. They even invited me to come in for the quarterly evaluation and pointed out the areas he needs a little more help or is the same or worse. I can't say enough about the friendly staff there.

[Name removed] was great. Knowlegable and made us feel comfortable having Mom rhere. If we need a facility this is where we’ll go.

Foods good, apartments are nice, you get your room cleaned/week, laundry. Lots of activities, staff is great, they all remember your name. A nurse is here for helps along with PT and OT. Nice place.

Sometimes I find it a little difficult to track someone down to answer a question. Overall it has been as positive an experience as possible considering my sister's condition. The management team has recently almost completely changed, so I can't really speak with much knowledge about the future group.

Most of the staff has been very friendly and helpful. My mother says the food has gotten questionable, but I'm sure it's the same thing each week and not much variety. She also has commented that the Cleaners don't do a thorough job each week. They take care of the trash and straighten up, but they don't look at the small areas like the corners of the room.

Charter staff was very through as we looked at the facility and the move was very smooth. I would recommend to others.
