Charter Senior Living

Staff has very little turnover and a true passion for what they do. Very friendly and kind and seem to be patient with residents. Facility is very clean and organized and somewhat elegant for an assisted living community.

They are an excellent memory care facility for Dementia and Alzheimer's. They understand the disease and help families through it. When his other facility kicked him out because they couldn't deal with the dementia, Charter took him in and was not scared of the issues. This is not an assisted care facility with a dementia unit tacked on the side. Dementia is all they do and they are fairly good at it. Their staff and new director [name removed] also seem to have fun and enjoy what they do. That is very important in caregiving fatigue. I would recommend the facility to anyone looking for specialized dementia care.

My loved one is currently a resident at Charter Senior Living of Woodbridge and overall everything has been great for her so far. The value for cost is reasonable. The food is pretty good and the activities have been good.

My mother was briefly a resident at Charter Senior Living of Shiloh and it was a great experience for her. Everyone was very nice. The cleanliness was great. The food and activities were also great. She loved it. I would recommend Charter Senior Living of Shiloh to others.

My mom's room is spotless. She really likes the meals. The staff truly cares. There is great communication with me. The OT in house is excellent. Staff knows everyone's name. I would definitely recommend Charter Senior Living of Hazel Crest. My dad, who also visits mom, likes the place.

The current staff at the landings have excellent communication and work together as a well oiled machine. They are kind, knowledgeable & compassionate. Personally all around a positive experience I would highly recommend The Landings of Geneses Valley

They always went all out for any holiday with decorating and involving the residents. Everyone was very friendly and always said hello when they saw us. My father in law passed away in October, but during the eleven months he was there the caregivers were awesome. On the rare occasion we did have an issue, we brought it up to admin/management and it was immediately addressed. From our experience we would definitely recommend Charter Senior Living of Davison.

Staff has been exceptional!! They are always attentive and willing to assist in any way needed. The facility is always clean and offer some good looking meals! My family is so glad to have our loved one here and she seems happy as well.

Everyone is very cordial and friendly. My father is in memory care and is kept active and engaged. The staff pays attention to all the members of this community and every staff members from other divisions make sure they greet any person they come into contact with.

Charter serves good meals three times a day. Residents are free to ask for anything the kitchen has. Every room has at least a mini fridge and microwave. My leftovers rarely go to waste. On a weekly basis Charter publishes a daily list of activities. Usually entertainment and Happy Hour occur on Fridays. Charter brings in specialty doctors -- dermatologist, Opthalmologist, dentist -- since I came here 2-3 months ago. The building, furnishings, and grounds are attractive. The staff are pleasant and attentive. My only complaint about the Charter I am in is it is not close to any shopping - personal preference.

The staff at Fox Hollow Senior Living are friendly and considerate. The facility is exceptionally clean. The staff communicates well with my family. The meals are delicious, and I join my mom for meals often. I do recommend Fox Hollow Senior Living to others.

I recently had the opportunity to tour Southern Pines and I left quite impressed with what I saw. This place stood out with beautiful landscaped grounds and plenty of outdoor spaces for my loved one to enjoy. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable, answering all my questions with patience and details. They seemed genuinely caring and attentive to the residents who interacted with me during my visit, which was reassuring to see. I can honestly say this is the place that I can see my mom being happy at.

My Aunt came to Charter several months ago, in search of a caring environment. She had lived for three years at another Senior living facility. She was always complaining about the staff and food. Since coming to Charter she has become a much happier person. She talks highly of the staff and love her room. She enjoys sitting out in the court yard enjoying the weather. The other residents are very friendly and have made her feel at home. I would highly recommend Charter Senior Living to anyone searching for a place for their live one. They will be well cared for at Charter.

Charter Senior Living is a wonderful experience. We have been so impressed with the staff starting with [name removed] and all the other employees. They are hands on caring and knowledgeable. So grateful we found Linden for my daughter. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

Charter is a phenomenal space! When I started my research into places, I wanted to make sure to stay away from the "nursing home " feel. Both my mom and I were so pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and the cleanliness! The staff were wonderful with helping us through the transition of moving my cousin from her home. I love Charter of Hazel Crest.

[name removed] really lives it at Charter. She has lots of Friends and this is her first time living on her own. She is thriving. [name removed] can't stand or walk without a walker. She has fall a few times and they have a necklace to wear with a button that calls the staff. All have been so kind. The Facility has a nice dining room and variety of Menu items. They have helped her change clothes and diapers when needed. They are all sweet and tell [name removed] they are there to help. [name removed] apologizes to them. [name removed] and [name removed] have been helpful and kind too. Anything we need we just call [name removed]. Mostly the folks that live there made us feel welcome and help make our decision on putting our loved one there.

Overall experience - very positive. My husband was in assisted living and the transferred to memory care after 1 month. Rooms are cleaned once a week or more often if needed. Bathrooms could be cleaner. Most are friendly, patient with residents with dementia. When I ask for medical care (podiatrist, wound nurse), requests are honored. He was receiving PT and OT but recently haven't heard if this has continued. Biggest issue is other residents taking his belongings. He has lost blankets, sweatshirts, pillow, sweatpants, slippers. Staff don't look at names on clothes when doing laundry. Even when I have noted another resident wearing his sweatshirt, staff didn't return it to him. So I do all of his laundry. But if room is unlocked during the day, other residents can take his things. Much better meals now that a chef was hired but everyone eats the same food. Today a resident didn't like what they were having and I didn't see them give her anything else.. There are many additional activities (trunk and treat, trips out). The daily activities are limited. Much time is spent watching TV. Hard to say since this is the only assisted living/memory care facility we have been involved with. Every day I am washing bedding. For the cost, I would hope staff would be more on top of his toileting/hygiene needs.

I would say our experience with Cedar Creek of Shiloh was a 5. We looked at all the other places near us and this felt more like home for my dad. He actually picked it out of all the others

My loved one and I were residents at Charter Senior Living at Woodholme Crossing for a Respite stay and it was very good. Myself and my family liked it very much, everything was great. If we ever have the need again, we will use this facility again. Thanks for everything!

In comparison to other alternatives, Charter Senior Living of Verona (formerly Cedarhurst) is a safe, caring and very affordable home for seniors.
