I would give all a 5 We really hated to move dad but his level of care needs increased. He misses that place and mentions (frequently) that he wants to go back there.

Touring Southern Pines was a lovely surprise. The staff are friendly and interact with the residents. I've toured several facilities recently and Southern Pines is at the top of my list! The scheduled activities are fun and lively! There was a night and day difference from previous communities toured!

I would tell them that it's a beautiful facility, staff seems to be very caring and attentive, safety measures are in place, the cost is reasonable compared to others we'd visited. Mom seems happy. We picked because of the staff and location.

What we like the most about Charter of Cleveland is the activities available for residents and we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

They had a stricter covid policy than other facilities (good thing). Personnel & administrative turnover was high during our time there. Dad passed in January of 2023, so this info is almost 2 years old. It was [removed] while he was there but was sold/transferred to Charter since he has been gone. Not sure what has changed over the past 21 months. The family was happy while he was there.

All 5 stars! It's the kind of place you can leave your loved one and know, without a doubt, that they will be well cared for.

My mom just loves that it is a smaller community and she said it feels so homey. And the staff is so nice .. she loves the activities!

We picked this community because of the location. Convenience for my Father to visit her. She had a one bedroom apartment. They allowed my Father to stay over night with her occasionally.

Mom is very happy there. She has made a lot of friends, enjoys the activities, likes the staff, and thankfully doesn't need any additional healthcare services at this moment in time. She enjoys the outings and the convenience of having a doctor come into the facility and they also provide shuttle service to any outside doctors that she may need to see.

All I have is great things to say about Charter. No joke literally everything is a 5. I was extremely impressed. I was there almost everyday and was very impressed. The fact that it is small makes it easy for residents with mobility problems to get around. It's fantastic that it's one story. Also, when they have little field trips, the staff goes on the field trips, including OT and the PT person. The director [name removed] is amazing.

My mom has been at this facility for over two years. I know that she always has someone to help her when she needs it. I also know she is safe. All the care she receives at The Cottages is top notch. I am pleasantly surprised when I visit and I see mom has painted, participated in something new for her, or even gotten her nails done. The staff really cares about the residents and there’s even an on site super chef that loves his job. Finding a care facility can be difficult but I know I’ll never look elsewhere for my mom to be happy and safe in her final years.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with all of the staff members. They seem to really like their jobs and that gives me piece of mind that my Mother is being looked after. I appreciate the fact that I can call or text if I have any concerns. I'm extremely happy to have found the Cottages as my Mom's new home.

I'm glad we picked this place for my dad. It's easy for him to get around and he's made some nice friends there. The staff is very caring and always smiling. It's also very convenient for me to visit. The grounds are nicely kept and very welcoming for families and kids to come visit.

It is great so far. The facility is clean, modern, well maintained and very pleasant. It seems like staff are engaged with the residents, always sitting with them and talking. As opposed to residents sitting on their own while staff are engaged with their cell phones. I have access (the door code) to come and go on my own. We picked this community because of the price and the looks of the facility.

My brother who is totally bed ridden has been a resident of The Cottages in Fix Lake, IL for 8 months. The stay has been nothing short of stupendous The total staff of cleaning, maintenance, chefs, personal care/attendance, nurses, doctors and directors have been great. They are friendly, communicative and helpfull. Oh, did I say, they are all very friendly and everyone is treated as family.

Everyone that works at The Cottages always say Hi to you from the head person, chef, activities directors and care givers nurses too! Of all the places we checked for our Mom The Cottages memory care is great. They help and watch out for all residents needs. If you have questions they get answers for you from the doctor nurses and the rest of the staff. Activities are great always have a lot of fun. Thank you to all of the staff.

The Cottages of Fox Lake is the Best facility to have your family live. The staff is dedicated, friendly, and the nursing staff is amazing. There are activities for the residents, outings, celebrations and so much more.

[name removed], the executive Director is very responsive and does a great job managing the facility. [name removed], who is in charge of the nurses is also very responsive and does a good job. This is not a skilled nursing facility so you have to keep that in mind if your parents need that type of care.

If there was a most-improved award in the care industry for adults with dementia, this place should get it. Charter's team has come in and increased staffing and the people they've brought in work together in special ways. Their flexibility and focus on the residents is top drawer. A gerontologist comes by regularly to check on residents and the care staff actively seeks out special advice on the wants and needs of their charges. They truly listen and develop plans for their residents around those preferences. Hospice is a welcome addition to daily care and the course of care from outside medical help is both welcome and adhered to. The care team works together really well, and they adapt well to anything special that comes up. Teamwork is a noteworthy strength. That comes from positive, focused leadership and caregivers' connection. Cottages' arrangement in four different buildings gives residents a cozy environment with about 14 housemates to get to know. It creates ... a family.

Feels like home for mom. It's a warm loving environment, staff is so kind and loving. Mom is gaining weight and has some wonderful friends she sits with at meals. They had a bday gathering for her with balloons and a cake decorated by staff. It's good to see her happy and talking more again. Mom was depressed at the previous facility she moved from. The light in her eyes has now returned. Thanks Dominon for making mom happy again. I love her very much.
