While this is a beautiful facility, don’t let that fool you. The level of care was quite insufficient. My mother was in memory care and at times (many times) there was one worker on her ward for 13-15 residents. I was told there would always be at least two and yet many times I visited there was only one and a few times I could not find any. And this is for residents who have memory issues. Don’t just listen to the promises made or statements made, go and observe and see for yourself. My mother was there in mid-August until November 2023. We moved her as soon as we could. It is a shame that this beautiful facility cannot deliver the level of care you pay them for.

Visit your loved one as often as possible, at different times and on different days. The caregiver team, housekeepers and dining room servers are all understaffed. There is frequent turnover on the management team and the nurse's aides complain a lot, but they work hard.

I would say it's really beautiful and one of the most reasonable places around. The food is not that great and not nutritious. I think I just expected more but maybe they are all that way. I would somewhat recommend for the price.

Interior of the facility clean but the landscape in front poor. When it rains the gutters overflow and mulch covers the sidewalk. For most part staff members have been very nice. Hard to get a feel on management, they seem preoccupied. I believe my family member is getting good care. Family member tells me that the food is pretty good. Family member doesn't participate in activities, but looking at the activity calendar it looks like they offer a lot. I feel that the level of nursing care is too expensive. Family member is a level 4, I don't see where she is getting that much nursing care. I am glad that this facility is small. I think it suits my family member well. I only toured one other place and it was 100 plus beds. Not sure if that would have worked out as well. Assisted living is all new to me so this is hard since I do not have anything to compare it to. Difficult also because family member is not social.

What we like about Lake City Place are all of the staff, they are friendly with the exception of a few. The staff seems to genuinely care about the happiness/wellbeing of the residents. Cleanliness could improve.

The modernizing changes they have made have turned the resort into a place that looks stale. Before the chandeliers were absolutely gorgeous and carpet made it feel like a home. The lights and the decor made it feel like a beautiful and a comfortable place to live now it feels more like a facility.

This is pretty clean place. However, falls dramatically short on the apartment cleaning. We were there 2 months and only had it cleaned by housekeeping once even though it was supposed to be weekly. The aids do wash the laundry & sheets but if you want laundry detergent & softener used the resident must provide it. The aids also empty the trash cans and make the bed regularly. Common areas are clean and tidy. Most of the staff we really friendly, however 2 were not friendly at all. That's why I ranked a 4. Severely understaffed. Call lights go unanswered for hours sometimes. They don't keep accurate medical records when passing patient meds therefore no one really knows what is going on. There are some really good med techs. However, one left pills in the mouth of the resident who couldn't swallow and was unconscious. Good food options but if you want seasoning you need to bring your salt. Amazing activity options for the residents. Place needs more staff, more training and better management. Would only go there if there were no other options. That it is a decent place for highly mobile and independent people that can do most things with no help.

Cedarhurst at Tesson heights was the least expensive of them all, but it was also the oldest and least updated of them all. It just didn't look as nice as the other few places that I was looking at. The caretaker-to- resident ratio was like 1 to 20 here.

Their food is pretty good although the schedule and options are not as flexible as we were led to believe. The staff is competent and very friendly. Again, communication is lacking as stated above. The apartment is " cleaned" once a week by a gentleman that enjoys talking more than cleaning.

Cedarhurst of Frankfort is a beautiful-looking facility, it is new and there is a great room that has the perfect amount of space for residents and families to gather in. One thing that was huge for us is every room has a backdoor that goes right to the outside and that makes it very easy for our loved one to let out their pet. However just with to staffing issues, some things like house keeping, meals, and activities have been lacking.

I was not a fan of the community and it felt very outdated.

We were disappointed in the lack of her getting her medications. Sometimes they were late and other times they were forgotten. She even had to tell an agency nurse she had medications and the nurse told her she didn't. She did. This was the first week she was there after numerous calls to nursing supervisor it was ok the second week

It's clean, good food but expensive. They charge for every little thing like laundry which should be covered by the high rent.

Nursing staff Are always pleasant and kind. . The turnover has been very high. I understand this is everywhere. Meals have been very disappointing. It’s hit or miss as to a good meal. As family, my biggest concern has been the turnover of staff and lack of communication to the families. We put our trust in you to look after them, but then we don’t even know of the new executive director. That is not OK. Better communication with the families is a big need in my book.

We had higher expectations when we decided to go with Monroe Place. The whole industry is understaffed, and some of our concerns are with staffing levels and being able to care for the residents. The staff communication with the family has been average. There are times that we don't receive responses to our emails, calls, and the follow through by the community could be better. The structure to support the family during the process of aging parents could be better as well that is provided by the community. It would be nice to see more vegetables available at meals, as the meals are very carb heavy. The residents have to ask for salads. There are three meals a day served to the residents. There are games, outings, religious activities, and more for activities for the residents to participate in.

In the beginning everything was very good, but lately it has deteriorated. We've had a difficult time getting her medications on time. She has to go down and ask for them. Her 8:30am medications are being given to her around 11:30am-12pm. She also has long term insurance and they aren't getting the paperwork completed. The first month she was there they filled it out properly and we received a reimbursement. Since then, it hasn't happened. The food services people are very very friendly and so are the residents, but the staff not so much. If you're considering it because either you or your loved one needs medical attention, I would say go some place else.

In the last year, this place has changed staff and gone down hill significantly. We just got a price increase and are now way over most places that are far better. Better communication between the nursing staff and loved one's could definitely help, that's for sure.

The staff is very friendly and nice with family and friends of the residents. I would make sure you check over the billing statements. for accuracy There are times that the community would call me for a number and this number in the file that they have, and this was a little concerning for me. The staff communication with friends and family is good. I believe there is a menu for the residents to choose from, or they can have the special that is being served for the day. There are three meals a day served to the residents. If the resident wants to have the meal delivered to their room there is a fee charged by the community. The bathroom and floor isn't as clean as I anticipated in the room of my friend.
