The laundry facilities were shared and this would be difficult for my loved one. Also pets were allowed; however, the resident would have to go down an elevator and go out the front door to allow their pet outside.

We didn't feel like it was the right fit for my loved one.

Up until recently I thought they were great. They are not delivering the services my loved one should get. There is not enough staff. This isn't the staff's fault that the place is short handed. They do the best they can. The meals are awful. The food is set down in front of a resident and it's cold. It seems to be overcooked or overheated and tough or cold to touch. The value of care completely sucks. What I pay for my loved one's care is not cutting it. They keep changing the security codes on the main door and the assisted living residents are getting locked out in the cold. They still have the wrong code on my loved ones door. It shows the previous resident, not my loved one and it's been months.

A lovely place, but not suitable for the handicap who still drive. Noticed there's only 2 parking spaces for handicap. Those are taken for the first two that had moved into the building when opened. There are no more handicaps spaces planned so this would not be the right fit for my parents. Their house goes on the market March 1st. Hoping they can move to Lexington by April. We needed something where they would be able to park their cars. Both parents need a handicap along with one or two for their friends who are handicapped that would visit. Preston Greens does not offer handicap spots for visitors. Decided on [community removed] they have 12 handicap spots, it's perfect, the apartments have just been remodeled. New dining room recently open. It's beautiful windows all the way around. Wished PG offered more than 2 handicap parking, ease of one's visiting and ones living there. It's selling point for us, parents having to carry in their own groceries, packages, especially in inclement weather.

I think the facility opened too soon. They don't have enough staff. They heavily rely on agency. The medication issue has been a complete nightmare. I sometimes feel like moving my mother but it is such a complete time consuming endeavor to do that. She is almost 93 years old. The food is not appropriate for seniors. I have continuously asked for a mechanical soft diet but they still send tough ribs. That is not soft. There is a tremendous staff turnover. It is not worth the money that we pay. I was so optimistic about this beautiful facility but not worth the money. 90% of the staff are friendly but there are a few that have horrible attitudes. If I did not have a handicapped husband who is 83, I would bring my mother home. I just cannot take care of both of them.

They helped us out in a tight pinch when we needed a rehab facility. So they were really helpful in that respect. But it's not a place I would ever put one of my parents long term. It was not the best experience. My dad spent most of his time in his room alone. We were up there all the time, but I felt so bad for residents whose family members couldn't be there with them. The staff would just put them in the lobby area while the staff were listening to music and dancing. It was cute, but it wasn't the elderly people's music. It was the young girls' type of music. I just think they need to focus more on the people who live there and less on the staff.

My mother lived here under one year, had to move, stroke. No phone service, internet hard to stay in touch. Didn't want cell, fear of it being lost. In M.C. longest time, no activity. M.C. not included in outings. Can't get out for joy of being out. Loves Bingo, set in front of screen with computer calling out. No one to sit with her, no interaction. 3 M.C. directors in 1 year. Aides short handed some days, few to work double shifts so someone there. Reflect on care received. Not enough handicap spots, rarely place for family during week, employees take spaces. Hard when have to carry laundry, groceries. Can find parking at night, few work weekends. Asked why not many aides on weekends, told " many families take their family home.' P.G.s large, clean, rooms just beautiful. A lady on M.C. side had concerns, aide shortage, parking. It will get worse as more move in. [name removed], in sales, is extremely helpful. I was always able to depend on Kim!

Our loved one was there for respite care and he really did enjoy the meals and dining and was even able to make a couple of friends. There was one nurse in particular that was outstanding, and the lady I believe was the manager was very responsive. However there was disconnect and miscommunication between the management teams

Under normal circumstances this would be good an option. However, our experience was during the pandemic and the community had several setbacks with staffing. Seemed like corporate was making a lot of changes to the community, according to some of the residents.

The community was too large for my loved one and it felt cold.

The staff at Prairie Meadows care deeply about those they serve. It is such a inviting culture they have created. I would highly recommend Prairie Meadows.

They really are trying their best with the activities, what they are able to offer are decent. The food is the biggest problem there, they advertise it to be bistro food and that is not the case. Also, they need to have more communication, the staff members are very pleasant to work with but it seems like they never know what the other is doing. Especially when they are making changed to the covid policy, one staff member will tell you one think, but another staff members will tell you something else. There just needs to be more communication consistency with the team, but they have a new overall director so we are hoping that he tightens things up. Also, they used to be bringing the meals to the residents, but now the dining room is open. There is some inconsistency there as well, sometimes the staff members do not get a menu request from a residents, so when they are serving dinner that residents will not get their meal. The help at the community are very sweet people and very accommodating, but there are just a lot of loose ends.

They sold me on the great product but when I got my dad in here it was not what they said it was going to be and they did not care. No body abused my dad physically, but they acted like they did not care and did not have a clue what memory care was about. Communication between the staff was not good either. I did not like the place at all and I would not recommend.

Close to home. Did not go inside due to virus precautions. Information regarding fees was vague. Nurse practitioner only on site twice per week. They do provide furniture for respite care. Small facility in a quiet setting. Few activities other than bingo and cards.

York Place seems to really care about the patients. They do take good care of my mother-in-law. The family nights are really nice to get to eat and meet the other people who have family here. I do believe they could do better having a professional meeting when meeting with the family when it's time to have a consultation. Sometimes the place seems a little dirty.

Quiet and cozy. Eating schedule very rigid 8am / 12pm / 5pm.Food was blah and average. Lighting in bathroom not good especially in the shower area , very dark. I would only put my Dad here if there were no other choices.

I think its to big with to many floors for my dad. Nice but not a great fit.

Cedarhurst was the very first tour I have ever taken to a Senior Living facility. I was impressed with the employees who work at Cedarhurst and the care they have for the residents. I was not impressed with the facility itself. The apartments were small and did not feel welcoming. The quality of materials used in the apartment I visited seemed inferior, especially compared to the monthly rent to live there.

My mother-in-law has lived here for about 2-1/2 years. We are moving her to a memory care facility. Early in her residence, there were several outstanding, trustworthy caregivers; most have left TH and their replacements have varied as to capabilities, personalities, and tenure. For a few months, they established separate activities for AL residents and picked up my MIL and others (who wouldn't venture out unless you did so). The facilitator became ill and left several months ago; they have not fully replaced him. My MIL enjoyed the activities and has declined due to the current lack of interaction. They are slowly updating the facility; however, the condition of the beauty salon is abysmal. Written complaints (including photos) about the salon's condition to the director were never acknowledged and no improvements have been made after nearly a year. The director runs a fiscally stable facility, but doesn't seem to value staff. Long-time residents talk of declines in services, amenities, and staff.
