Cedarhurst Living LLC

When we were there in March it was clean, but there have been times they do not come in to clean our loved ones room. They do provide a lot of care services, however due to COVID there have been no activities. This community felt very homey, it did not feel clinical at all. The rooms would be a five out of five, very good in size and very nice. Our loved one says the food overall is okay.

Employees are friendly and well informed. Very helpful in helping me and helping what I need. Rides to Dr. appts. etc. Need circulating lane for the patio area. All clients to sit out front more often. Continue improving food more and going back to hard(metal) utensils and dining area.

The staff is very attentive to residents. Good housekeeping series. Good response from management. Before the pandemic, there were complaints about the food being served for lunch and dinner.

I was able to have an in person tour of this facility. It is a charming place, clean and new feeling. Pricing a bit high, and it is small - which could mean not as many friendship opportunities for dad. My dad likes to walk and there is not much in the way of walking trails near the place. It is still a possibility...would need to get a better than currently quoted price for the one bedroom option.

Overall we have been satisfied with Cedarhurst. The room sizes and layout of the community were spacious compared to what I have seen in other communities. They were able to accommodate a pureed diet and I would say they could use a little more variety in their regular menu.

We really liked Autumn Hills. We joined our friend [name removed] for meals the food was good. Our friend [name removed] needed more care. He was not as mobile as a lot of the residents there. He needed more help. We liked Autumn Hills but [name removed] needed more care and we had to move him.

They work well with us. We placed my mom there for a two-month respite stay. It was well worth the cost. We needed to get her out of a current situation and get her to a new situation and it worked great. They help prompt her for meals. The food was good. The room size was very good. The community had a garden area in the center that was secured so residents could go outside and be safe.

It is a good place for the money. My mom did not like the food. It is an older building but clean. They offered all kinds of activities. The room sizes were fine. They have a back patio and garden area for the residents

Positive impression during the tour and good communication with the staff. A good option.

Staffing and overall management has improved in past few months.Food is better. Nice to see new people moving in. Activities are great and very important. Please keep the improvements going!

Mom is very happy here.

From a family point of view only...Previous years there have been some concerns with administration...however the last two months we can see an improvement...

Mom has lived here 2 years and has always said that if she cannot live at home, this is the next best thing.

I am really happy with Waterford at Hidden Lake. I was hoping my mom would be in the assisted living section but we soon realized that she needed to be in the memory care. I haven't had any issued with the care that she gets. She is very ambulatory so I wish she had more exercise, but then if she says no they can't make her. It's really close to my house and I like that I can just go on over at any time.

Cedarhurst was a good fit for my mom, who is in Memory Care. She receives a lot of attention and her caretakers have been warm and friendly. The activity director is wonderful. My mom is happy there. There has been a problem with staff turnover, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Sometimes care of elderly is excellent - sometimes residents seem to be ignored. Depends on attitude and work ethic of staff members that are working a particular shift.

Our mom is fairly new there. They were very helpful during the initial induction process. She was initially there for respite care and then it became long term. It was nice that they accepted mom since she is 97 and wheelchair bound. The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. The place is not inexpensive but it appears to be on a par with other facilities in the area that can cover a variety of the resident's needs. They are taking good care of her health although now some of the long term care has been handed off to a hospice program. They appear to have numerous activities but mom does not participate in many of them. The downside is the food. We know they must cater to a number a dietary needs but it would be nice if they could cater to the individual a little more. The major complaint from mom is that most meat items are cook beyond the point of being edible. Meats tend to be hard to cut and chew. Other than the food, mom is happy with her stay and her apartment. The family is pleased.

Our tour director was very friendly but the staff we came in contact with did not seem friendly. It looks nice and clean.

We picked tesson heights because it had the same look and feel as the assisted living facility my mom moved from in Illinois. At less than half the monthly cost. Everyone there was very welcoming and continue to be very friendly and that all helped mom settle in very quickly. Assisted living in Illinois is different from assisted living here. So mom is actually in independent living with extra services from the senior helpers. There was a bit of a learning curve at first for both mom, me, and the senior helpers. Mainly because in assisted living everything is included. But after that, we're all good. Bottom line, we are so happy with mom being at tesson heights.

I liked this facility it was very bright and the people very nice. The room size was a concern. The bedroom was large enough but the living area seemed small for two people.
