Cedarhurst Living LLC

Cedarhurst is a very nice community with very friendly staff and based on the experience we have had we would recommend them to other families. However the communication with families could definitely use some improvement.

We chose Cedarhurst of Fort Wayne because of the facility itself. It is a very nice place, it is big and open, four seasons room, 2 courtyards, etc. It is great for people who like to walk, my dad really enjoys walking around. They like it here and are happy. For the most part everything is good so far.

Good people / caregivers.

Cedarhurst of Arnold was a very nice and clean facility. I do think it would be suited more towards those who are in the beginning stages of dementia. I did not see a whole lot of interaction between the staff and the residents during our tour. I do know their staff to resident ratio was not something that would have worked for the level of care my loved one needed.

This is a nice community from the outside and everything inside is beautiful. The biggest challenge we faced with our loved one was the consistency of care provided by the staff. There were times that the staff wouldn't respond to the call button in a timely manner when my loved one would push the call button, or the caregiver would show up and then the caregiver wasn't able to assist my loved one with half the task and there was no follow through. These concerns were in a short span of time that my loved one was there. There was turnover of agency staff that was there to assist the community. I'm not sure this would be unique to only this community, as I realize other communities face these concerns as well. Due to our experience we are looking to keep our loved one with family as long as possible.

I toured this community and really liked it. It was our second choice. Everyone here was very friendly. Cleanliness was really good. My loved one didn't end up qualifying for level of care needs, but if she had we probably would have chosen this facility.

I picked this community because they were very open on the tour, they answered all questions, and the staff was friendly towards each other. They need to improve on, cleaning my loved ones room more often. Other than that, they are communicating very well, and they are informative. Also, they keep me in the loop with things.

This facility is a very pleasant place to be if you're not able to be in your own home. They're very prompt and friendly with care here. It's really a good place. They do the best that they can for my loved one. My loved one is happy here. Communication with the family is pretty good. Housekeeping is once a week and they do a good job. They offer a great variety of activities and outings. As for outings, they have a limited number of spots for residents in wheelchairs, so there is a wait list and it can be a bit more challenging to participate. The food is excellent, good quality and variety. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I had a great tour experience with Cedarhurst of Blue Springs. I felt that it was more geared towards memory care and my loved one was just not to that level yet. When he does get there, this will most likely be where I place him. I loved the way it was structured and all of the staff were great. The pricing is one flat fee for all services provided, so there are no add ons which is another major plus.

Overall I have had good experiences with Monroe Place The staff is friendly and seem to care for all the people under their care. They do have a high turnover and don’t seem to have enough help at times.

It has indeed been a positive experience to be associated with this fine living facility. The care and attention they give to each resident is commendable. This is my first experience with this type of facilty and I am thankful it has been positive and easy..

My mom's experience has been great for the most part. Cleanliness is good also. Day staff is great but weekends and evenings could be lots better. My mom wears the emergency button for help and waits sometimes a half hour or more for help and sometimes the help is rude but daytime is not a problem. She loves the food and they accommodate her if she does not like what they are having. She has just started to participate in the activities and loved all of them so far. The value of cost would be better if the evening and weekend help treated resistant with more care and in a timely manner. I understand sometimes personality don't match but they are getting paid to do their job therefore I think they need more caring and helpful staff that understand the needs of the elderly.

The staff goes out of there way to be helpful to the families. They have an online portal for families to see activities and get updates quickly about their loved ones which I find really helpful. The only thing that is negative is that weekend and holiday staffing seems to be a little short staffed but not dangerously short just appears to have fewer people working.

Being out of town my feedback is all secondhand but from what I have heard our loved one is happy and content. We really like that when our family goes and visits she is always clean and eats well - she really enjoys the meals and dining. She has not exhibited any bad behaviors and we really like the array of activities they have going on. Our only negative complaint is that we just wish the staff would encourage our loved one a little more to get involved in the activities

We decided on Lynd Place because price wise they were a bit cheaper. All of the staff were very welcoming and outgoing during our tour. My mother chose this facility because she felt the residents seemed to be more out and about. they have some really good staff members here. Our only problem has been with the cleaning services - they are not changing her sheets and cleaning on a regular basis - but they are listening to our concern and trying to improves. Other that that things have worked out great and we would recommend them to others looking.

We've had a positive experience overall. There are a few things we need to get straitened out, but in general, it's a good place. The staff are friendly. And my loved one is safe there, which is very important to me.

Overall we have had a good experience with Cedarhurst of Oakwood.

The facility is very updated and nice. All of the common areas is very nice. There have been changes over the last month, which may have to do with a reduction in staff. It is expensive for the value of money, compared to other places in the area.

I toured this facility. They have a very clean atmosphere and a really nice dining area. The dining area is very nice. Staff was very friendly. They seemed to have a wide variety of activities to offer. Based off of our tour, I would recommend them!
