Cedarhurst is a good place for my mom, and her care has been great. When issues arise they are responsive to my comments. Meals are good, although they are not always good about alternative meals to deal with dietary preferences.

I have recommended them. I tell them the food use to be better but I think kitchen turn over has effected that. But all in all my mom is very happy there.

I like the staff, activities and my neighbors!

I like the safe living in my apartment and the separate bedroom.

The prices have fluctuated several times during her stay, meals are hit and miss, staffing is not that friendly. Cleanliness is on point and décor, as well as activities.

It's a nice place and I think they try hard to be a good place. Probably could use better staff to resident ratio.

What we like the most about Cedarhurst of St. Charles is the friendly, caring staff, clean. Communication could be improved. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

At times they seem a little short staffed, but the staff are friendly and the community is clean. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The staff is trained for dealing with Alzheimer's patients and the are good with working with the ones that are not so compliant. They also had an app that you could talk to staff and see upcoming events and also let you know what activities your loved one participated in that day

Overall experience is ok... cleanliness is amazing, friendliness of staff is ok... they do have a couple of staff members that just don't engage with family or residents up at the front desk which doesn't always give it a good vibe walking in (ie night time and weekend staff) they just act like they don't want to be there. Dad is considered "independent" so he's pretty much on his own even when he's sick because any care they provide is an additional [fee removed] or so a month, meals have really went downhill over the past year.. not as appetizing as they once were.. dining room is always understaffed.. may have to wait for an hour or longer for meals.. served cold or hard.. they really struggle with turn over especially in the dining room. Activity coordinators are absolutely amazing but it's the same routine over and over... for what dad gets I think the cost of living is outrageous in my opinion... his rent just went up almost [removed] because he has been there for more than a year.

Overall it was good. [name removed] was in charge of care for my mom and she was awesome. She's sweet and compassionate. If I had to do it again I would pick Cedarhurst.

Good care! Cleanliness was excellent! Moved Gentry from the facility to be closer to our home because of the communite.

Cedarhurst of Columbia has been wonderful, they blind into my husbands life and he thins he is working for Cedarhurst. They have good food and good care. The reason we gave them a 4 overall is because there have been new items I left at the front desk, 2nd day there, to be delivered to [name removed] , totally disappeared.

We were able to get our patient accepted quickly which was very important as we had to find a new home quickly. Not able to stay where she was. Cedarhurst is clean and attentive employees. Eating area was well staffed and helpful in getting patients to eat. Don’t take good clothing as things are lost, taken and the laundry is hard on belongings. A place for Mom was extremely helpful and follow-up is the best to make sure you find the right place.

One thing I am concerned about is the high turn over in senior staff over last year and a half. New senior staff seem more corporate than client concerned, but residents seem happy. Some concerns about "cost cutting".

Cedarhurst of St. Charles was a clean place but I was not impressed with the way my loved one wasn't helped to be encouraged to join the others. This community is also more costly than others. We gave it an overall 4 because they just need more staffing and I know that is a problem for places.

We are very happy with Cedarhurst overall. It is a new facility that is bright and airy. The memory care unit has several windows and a very nice courtyard area. The activities director is wonderful. Most of the staff are very friendly. Cleanliness has not been an issue. Most importantly, [name removed] is much happier in this community. She eats her meals out in the dining area with all of the other residents. They take a field trip once a week. Sometimes they go get ice cream, visit the dollar store or just take a ride down the road.

The staff was friendly and wanted to help when we had a question. There was a lot of turnover of the staff and management, that was frustrating at times. I would recommend Cedarhurst of Columbia based off of our experience.

My dad passed [date removed]. Cedarhurst was a very good place. Our family was pleased with every effort they made with all the residents. They listen to the family, they interact with the residents and get them engaged with crafts, activities, games, singing, dancing, worship etc. We became friends and always felt at home when visiting. We live in NC and they always wanted to know when would we be coming back to GA for another visit. Cedarhurst of Oakwood provided everything we wanted for daddy's comfort and needs.
