For the most part all goes well most of the time. very clean never had a complaint in 2 year. Staff is very pleasant and easy to work. with. Always available for family members to speak with and if there are concerns they address them. The care taken by the nurses and aids is good. Some of the help is not as friendly with my mom as they could be, but she can be a handful at times. Meals are great , my mom enjoys her meals and enjoys seeing other residents eating also. There is always activities and they encourage all residents to enjoy and stay involved. My mom is 87 now and slowed down quite a bit, but is always encouraged to join in. The cost in my opinion is quite a bit. I do think you get a lot of care, but [fee removed] a month is A LOT of money. Worried about where we go when her savings runs out.

Cedarhurst is mostly a lovely place with a beautiful building, daily activities, good community. & a icaring staff I trust with my loved one. There’s no excuse for the unacceptable & unhealthy food or for serving sloppy Joe’s & tater tots to people paying a minimum of $[removed] a month, most of whom shouldn’t be eating high fat, fried foods. There’s a dearth of vegetables. They seem to have selected the worst from the frozen food and canned goods section of Sam’s Club, They should hire a real chef who actually cooks & has the expertise to prepare heart healthy meals, with green vegetables, salad bar, and olive oil. Foods should be labeled with calories & salt content. There doesn’t seem to be any significant security. The doors are locked at 8, which is too early. They don’t really check to see if you belong there after hours. Someone should staff at the front desk 24/7. Each resident should have an electronic key fob or some system so only residents, staff, and guests can enter.

Some of the staff seemed bothered to be asked for help and some didn't care or pay attention to personal needs! Some meals were not fit for the elderly!!! Some meals most food was left on the plates by all. when needs are not being met and request or met with nothing more than a phone call to oblige you, there is mushroom for improvement. This all lies in the directors lap to make sure things change for the better!!

I found the staff friendly, I did not find [name removed], director, very helpful or friendly most times. [name removed], who was at front desk was the best, very pleasant and helpful. We pay[fee removed] less where we are now, and most time the care is comparable.

The food is sub-par for the money we pay. There is limited variety and secure is slow. The food is usually cold which could be the cook or the wait staff not promptly delivery it. The residents have expressed this to management but it always falls on deaf ears. They really don't care about this.

[name removed], the intake coordinator was extremely helpful. She made the decision to choose Cedarhurst at Edison Lakes incredibly easy. My mother is content at this facility. Her apartment is exactly what she needed. The meal schedule is difficult for her to always attend. However, knowing she has the availability is great. Unfortunately, there have been some difficult issues with the executive staff refusing to work further with me or my mother and not returning calls or emails. We've tried to resolve these issues, even speaking to corporate. [name removed] at corporate was very friendly. Finally, after nearly 10 days, I heard back from the Edison Lakes Executive director. I'm hopeful things will continue to improve, despite the fact I don't think this situation was handled well. That is sad considering the amount my mother spends each month. It's difficult to rate staff overall. While the executive director was slow to respond and the assistant executive director has yet to reach out despite me being told she was reprimanded, EVERYONE else from the nurse to the maintenance and cleaning staff have been 5 star.

Easy move in. Reasonable price for area. Nice people. Dad is having a hard time adjusting so they make an effort to include him in activities. We liked that it was one floor but then that means some rooms are far from dining area.

The facility does always seem to be clean, but focusing on her room improvements could be made. We are happy with our choice but she does say the food could be better

the communities is beautiful comfortable. The staff us caring and supportive.

Food is always cold. The young ladies and gents are always nice.

Since my mom moved in she has been much happier. The staff is wonderful, they keep mom busy. I don't have to worry I know she is in good hands.

It was close to my house, which was the main reason why I picked them. It was good. Some of the staff was great and some not so.

It was local and more of a homey atmosphere. Cost was considerably less.

I really like the people. They are all very kind and the nurses are super and hard working. It's just I feel that family takes better care of them. No facility can match home care with the ratios they have. We chose Cedarhurst because it was the cleanest, smelled best, friendliest and close to family. I don't think there is a better facility out there. It's just not home."

What we like the most about Cedar Creek is the care. The care is great and my loved one feels safe there. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

That has happened already and I have highly recommended the facility. My mom did not have an adjustment Period at all as they were very attentive to her needs. I think you have covered all the bases when I rated the different attributes.

Cedarhurst is a good choice for assisted living and a better value than many competitors.

This is a great place to live. I’ve never had any complaints for any of the staff. The food is pretty good and the building is always clean. I enjoy sitting in my room and just watching tv and I’m glad they let me do that.

Overall satisfied. Staff really good with people. The ones that stay. There is quite a bit of turnover. Meals may be a bit mediocre but fills your tummy. I do my own laundry by choice. It's getting better with new management. Best of all the wheelchair fits through all doorways which is our main reason for being here.
