We felt the environment is not energetic enough.

When I bring her to leave her there they were pretty nice but by the time I came to get her they were all like thank god you're here. My mom has been there for respite two or three times. The care was okay. It's hard to say when you're not there to see what's going on. One time she had fallen because someone didn't do the job and leave the bathroom light on. I was not happy about that. The last time we took her she got a big bruise on the back of her arm. The girl had called me and said she had giver her a bath and noticed it but she didn't know how it got there. I like that they have a nurse on duty. And they were helpful in trying to get her on a medication that would help calm her down. They said they'd used it for a lot of their patients but it just didn't do one thing for my mom. They also tried to limit her outbursts by giving her suckers which they said seemed to help.

We find that communication has not been great between the shifts as well As the staff with us.

I'm very upset with them. They had a cottage that I thought might do. I talked to Gretchen, who is the woman there, and put down a $500 deposit. When I found another place I called to let her know and told her I would go pick up my check. She said there was no need; she would just tear it up. I went to my bank online and they had cashed that check. I went up to the office at the place I am now and they called over there and then told me Emeritus was going to send me a check in the mail. I received it yesterday. I'm glad I got that back.

The people seemed like they needed more care than I do. It's more of assisted living and a lot of people looked like they had dementia and things. I need more mental stimulation than that so this wasn't going to be a good fit for me.

Provides 3 meals a day. Will not work for us but a very nice facility. No security at front door during week.

No independent living option.

vry new, 1 yr old bldg added to rest of assisted care; neighbor memory units; group activities; goes to different place; different levels together; only until need for skilled nursing care; staff oversight.

Very nice facilities but the half block walk outdoors and uphill to the memory building nixed them as an option. Also, no trees. Just houses and roofs.

Mountain Glen was not a good place for my Mom. She has dementia and liked to wander. Mom got lost in the neighborhood a couple times, and had to leave. She hated it there. She didn't enjoy any of the activities. It wasn't their fault. It just wasn't for her. I rate Mountain Glen a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 .

Overall experience has been ok. Cleanliness is good, friendliness of the staff is ok. A lot of promises were made and things were stated that don't seem to be true. Administrative staff isn't as helpful or available as they stated. Food quality is not terrible but it isn't good. It's defiantly institutionalized food. If it's true they have a chef that chef defiantly didn't graduate top of the class. Activities are good. Value for the money is ok. Ultimately I feel like prior to signing the contract the admin staff made it seem like they would assist us with certain things and do all they could to help at any point. They were calling constantly. Since sighting the contract not one person has called me back regarding some questions I had or getting us assistance with certain programs she qualified for.

We really like the staff however during our loved ones stay of only a few weeks, covid and staffing shortages there were some things happening - when we could call Ashley Gardens it was not the staff that would be answering the phone but it would be the residents themselves. They said this issue would be fixed but we felt it was very unprofessional. Our loved one got covid here, he also broke his hip after a fall and we just felt the medication management was mishandled. We do want to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume this does not happen regularly but that the struggles we faced were just caused by covid and staffing shortages.

The people are really friendly within community. The interaction wth the staff is very poor, and there is lack of communication. It takes forever to get something fixed. The meals are horrible, and is not always hot, fully cooked and burned. It takes forever to get food sometimes. They don't keep the resdents, too invloved with activities. It is very expensive.

I would not recommend.

Things are not well coordinated. Services to be provided do not seem to well scheduled and fail to happen. Billings ate sometime not accurate..

As a relative, Brookdale is generally a nice facility, but food is often served cold. And the biggest issue is the cost increases, averaging about 7% every year!!!!!, With no additional care being provided. Hate to see what it will be next year?

While I was at this facility, I was touring their assisted living building and I was not impressed. In the dining room, all of the tables were scraped up on every corner like all of the carts and wheelchairs were hitting them. They didn’t have an upscale appearance and the cleanliness wasn’t that great either. The whole place looked shabby and filthy like their walls, carpets, and elevators. On the other side, they have independent living and it was completely different. I would not recommend this facility to other families who are looking for assisted living.

the workers on the floor are the heart and soul but if you got any medical issues you have a nurse who doesnt care about the residents and is incompetent the workers deserve high praise

The hospitality, and the knowledge, and the staff is great! I do feel like once the resident gets in there, they drop all communication with the resident, when they were first trying to get in, it was, what can we do, and how can we help and when they paid the money and moved in, and it all went away. The services and the staff were great, but once they got the money it just all stopped, and when we said we were going to move out, they were all over it. The worker complained all the time about being short staffed, and they felt like they were putting people out when they asked for help with little things like hanging a large picture. Springs meadows is the one they were in. The look of it, it's a beautiful building, it's really neat the way it's decorated. The food I would give a four. It was neat to walk around and look at the old pictures on the walls, and the old furniture, the curio cabnets. I think they lack the extra training or a different way of orienting the staff. They had singers come in and all kinds of thing. Maybe once a resident moves in they can give a little more of an effort to encourage participation, at least for the first month or two. They had a lady that introduced herself, once, but never followed up. My mom attempted to join in but found it to be kind of cliquey. We warned the staff that this was going to be a hard transition for them and they said they would be there and get them involved and make them comfortable, this didn't really happen. They were the only ones who would work with us as far as the down and the deposit. We chose them because they sounded very genuine, but they fell majorly short. I hope they are able to see this and just improve a little bit as far as getting residents involved and paying attention to those not adjusting well. This was the only site that had gap care for independent living an organization that came in on the side that you pay for extra care services, a subsidized group that could come out if you needed some help for an hour, or even fifteen minutes to help with things that were just a little too difficult.

Well we were told how they could provide professional care for our Mom. We have been with them just over 2 weeks now and we have had issues with the staff. First they did not know what day we were moving in. Second the paperwork from the Doctors office was not looked at before we came on that Monday, so they could determine where to put mom and what care to give her. So we had to leave her furniture and come back the next day to move mom in. Well now we are dealing with CNA's who do not know who they are caring for. They have forgotten or did not know they were to escort Mom to meals and check in on her every couple of hours. So she has missed a few meals, not ok. We picked this place because they have a good staff ratio, but I am not seeing that at all. We see the CNA's busy on their phones even when in the room with our Mom. Soiled bed sheets were left in the shower one morning. I have address some of these issues and will again. We are thinking of moving her. There non refundable deposit is outrageous, it is one month's fee. I would not recommend this place if your loved one needs to be checked on often.
